Dennis Wedin is one of the founders of Dennaton Games studios along with Jonatan Söderström. Wedin is the artist, and Söderström does the programming. The developer's origin is Sweden.
The primary and the only titles developed are Hotline Miami and Hotline Miami 2: The Wrong Number. The game received a high amount of praise and compliments from the gaming community as it has exploited the topics of ultraviolence mixed with eighties aesthetics. Either first or second parts received a cult-video game status.
The art style of both titles is easily recognizable as it combines the pixel-art stylistics and gore violence spiced up with corresponding audial surroundings mostly consisting of synth-pop hits.
Some controversies were embracing the titles and studio itself mainly circling the extreme level of violence going on despite it being hidden behind the pixels. Not only that, but the second part got accused of justifying rape as there were some cutscenes with double interpretations.
