1830: Railroads & Robber Barons чит-файл №1

OVERVIEW

1830 is based on Avalon Hill's classic boardgame of the same name and is set
in the northeastern United States and southern Canada. This game is a money
game. As a Baron, you will try to earn more money than your rivals by
becoming the President of Railroad Corporations and investing in the stock
market. By investing in the stock market, you will influence the value of
stock and the success of the Railroad Corporations. As President, you will
conduct Corprate business - run trains, collect revenue, etc. You are (in
essence) playing dual roles: an independent entrepreneur (a Baron) and
President of a Corporation. These dual roles will sometimes conflict,
because to win 1830, you must be the richest "Baron" at the end of play.
However, you must become President to earn money as a Baron. Your decisions
as President will determine your individual success: "Should I pay out
dividends to the shareholders of the Corporation?" Paying dividend is one
of the only ways you (the Baron) will earn revenue. "Should I withhold the
revenue and invest it in the Corporation?" There will be times when it's
imperative to place all revenues in the Corporate Treasury to finance
further business activities. Withholding revenues keeps money out of your
hands. It's a balancing act, and only constant play will make you aware of
what actions to perform at the right time.

STARTING A GAME

Like most computer games, 1830 moves from screen to screen. Each screen
deals with a different part of the game. To start a new game, follow the
steps on the bottom. These steps are an "overview" of the actions you will
perform on each screen.

1. INITIAL OPTIONS SCREEN

Click the NEW GAME button on the Initial Options Screen. This will bring
you to the Baron Gallery. Where you will set play options and select a
Baron to represent you during play.

2. BARON GALLERY

Set the DIFFICULTY level of play to EASY and the number of OPPONENTS to
three on the Baron Gallery Screen. Disregard the CUSTOMIZE and CANCEL
buttons for now. Afterward, click on one of the Baron portrait on the Baron
Gallery. A name window will appear. BACKSPACE over the name, type in your
name, and press ENTER. 1830 now begins with the purchase of Private
Companies on the Company Bidding Screen.

3. PRIVATE COMPANY BIDDING SCREEN

Buy Private Companies. There are six different Private Companies in 1830.
These companies represent small, privately-owned freight handlers.
Historically, they were the precursors to the major Railroad Corporations.
Private Companies serves two purposes: (1) they provide their owner a fixed
revenue at the start of each Operating Round and (2) they give their owner
special play benefits. All Private Companies must be acquired before you're
allowed to purchase stock in the Railroad Corporations. On the Private
Company Bidding Screen, you may either BUY the top most company, or BID on
one below it. To buy or bid, move the mouse arrow over the Company and
click once. If you're the only Baron who bids on the Company, you will
acquire it. The ownership of a Company receiving multiple bids will be
resolved on the Auction Block. As soon as all Private Companies are
acquired, play proceeds to the Stock Round.

4. STOCK SCREEN

Buy Stock. This is where you will buy and sell stock in an attempt to
become President of one or more Railroad Corporations. To become President,
you must own the PRESIDENT'S CERTIFICATE (the 20% share) and more shares in
that Corporation than any other Baron. As soon as 60% of a particular stock
has been purchased, the corporation is "floated" and will begin operating in
the next Operating Round. To buy or sell a stock certificate, move the
mouse arrow over the stock and click once. The stock certificate will move
its respective area on the screen. When you're finished, click DONE. If
you dont' want to buy or sell, click PASS. The Stock Round will continue
until all Barons have completed buying and selling stock. Play then proceed
to the Operating Screen.

5. OPERATING SCREEN

Run your Corporation. All "floated" Railroad Corporations will operate on
this screen. Your goal here is to run your Corporation's train between the
various cities on the map. Cities are connected by laying track. Each city
has a value printed in yellow. If you run a train into that city, you will
earn that value in "revenues". As President, you will then have to decide
whether to pay out the revenue as dividends or withhold the total amount and
reinvest it in the Corporation. The red numbers represent the cost (in
Corporate Money) to lay track in those hexes.

Play rotates between the Operating Screen and the Stock Screen until either
(1) a Baron goes bankrupt, or (2) the Bank runs out of money. The richest
Baron at game end wins!

PERSONAL AND CORPORATE MONEY

Since 1830 is a money game, you will use cash throughout play. As a Baron,
you will use "Personal Money"; as a President of a Railroad Corporation, you
will use "Corporate Money."

1. PERSONAL MONEY

The amount of Personal Money you receive at the beginning of the game is
based on the number of Barons in play:

# of Barons Personal Money at Start
~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2 $1,200
3 $800
4 $600
5 $480
6 $400
You will use your Personal Money to buy Private Companies and stock
certificates. Personal Money will fluctuate during play, so watch it
carefully. Your Personal Money is displayed as "FUNDS" on most screens.
2. CORPORATE MONEY
As soon as Railroad Corporation begins to operating, it receives its
starting money, which is ten times its "Par" Value. As President of the
Corporation, you will use this money (during Operating Round on the
Operating Screen) to buy trains, lay track, place stations, etc. Corporate
Money is displayed on the Operating Screen under its company's logo. If you
try to buy something the Corporation can't afford, the comuter will
immediately alert you and block the purchase or force you to quickly see off
stock to raise enough money to cover the difference. This is where Personal
and Corporate monies are interconnected. The money you raise to cover the
cost is pulled from your Personal Money. If you can't sell enough stock to
raise the difference, you go bankrupt and the game ends.
