AstroRock has no cheat codes or secrets or hidden levels of any kind. The best
way to master AstroRock is to learn the particular features of each of the
first 40 levels (the first 40 levels are always the same; levels from there on
up are randomly-generated). There is no end to the game. New levels will be
generated forever.
For example, level 6 has only one Hunter-Killer on it, and no other bad guys,
so it's very easy to win. But the asteroids on that level have a very high
probability of giving you free lives. It's not unusual to be able to
accumulate seven or eight or more free lives by clearing all the asteroids
before killing the HK.
Your shields can be your best weapon. If you ram an asteroid with your shields
on, you can completely destroy it, collect any goodies inside it, and escape
all in one pass.
In netplay, the most important thing you can do is move fast. Keep in mind
that everyone can see where you'll regenerate after you die, so don't wait too
long between dying and regenerating or others may congregate and pick you off
as soon as you regenerate.
