[ Introduction ]
Based on John E. Dell's old Drug Wars game, Dope Wars is a simulation
of an imaginary drug market. Dope Wars is an All-American game which
features buying, selling, and trying to get past the cops.
The first thing you need to do is pay off your debt to the Loan Shark.
After that, your goal is to make as much money as possible (and stay
alive)! You have one month of game time to make your fortune.
Dope Wars is a free to download game and you can download it from
quite alot of websites on the net and a simple search engine can
find most of them.
Also make sure you play Dope Wars and not Drug Wars as Dope Wars is
much better in so many ways.
[ Locations ]
You are able to travel to the following areas in the game:
Bronx
Ghetto
Central Park
Manhattan
Coney Island
Brooklyn
[ Strategy ]
The aim of the game is to pay off your whole debt and to make as much
cash as you can possibly make.
The best way I have found to do it is to simply wait until prices
either bottom out or are cheap because of last weeks raid.
I found that if you buy cheap acid and wait for the prices to double
or even triple in value then sell them and watch your cash amount rise.
Also note that sometimes you come across these things:
- You find some weed:
Do not smoke it as theres a high risk that you might die from it.
- You get chased by cops:
If you have a gun you can fight or if your don't you only can run.
If you choose fight you can kill all the cops and win some cash or
sometimes even drugs but you risk getting hit and losing health.
If you choose run you risk getting hit but not as much as you will
if you fight, the only problem is you can lose some drugs whilst
running and you don't get money at the end.
Another good way of jacking up your cash flow is to buy cocaine at
a reasonable price (around the $15000 - $20000 mark) and wait until
people buy it at outrageous prices (which should be around the
$90000 - $100000 mark) then sell all your stash and this will make
your cash total skyrocket.
You have to make sure you pay of your debt as quick as possible as
it increases each day and also make sure not to jet around to much
as it wastes time and you only have one month.
