Edit gazgame*.dat (* is represented by the slot number that the games has been
saved on, the first or top slot is saved as gazgame0.dat)
If you have chosen to be the first player this is much easier, but if not it
is still possible. For the first player (grey backround) go to the fourth byte
of the file and you will find it and the next two bytes represent the amount
of gold the first player has. If these 3 bytes are overwriten with FF FF FF,
the first player should get about 16,000,000 gold.
Enough to win against just about anyone. If you don't go the first player, all
I suggest is spend some money, (build maybe an Armoury and buy 4 Fighters) and
then edit gazgame*.dat and search for the hexadecimal equivalent (in this case
it should be 30 000 - 17 000 = 13 000 or C8 32) and make sure it's on your
part of the file, there is a copy of the description of the character at the
bottom after lots and lots of the same 2 bytes, 7 bytes apart.
Secondly, edit npc1.dat and search for whatever your players name is (ie. if
you called your player DEATH, you search for DEATH. Then, (once again, from
the first character of the name and the first character is one, these bytes
represent these things:
21: Total Campaigns
23: Campaigns Won
25: Campaigns Lost
27: Total Battles
35: Battles Won
39: Battles Lost
41: Heros Lost
47: Regulars Lost
51: Heros Killed
53: Regulars Killed
55: Experiance (40 54 89 gives you 9,000,000 Exp. and level 36.)
From these, you can fill the byte and all the bytes after them but before the
next set, ie. for Total Campaigns you can fill 21 and 22.
For your ability scores, anything from 0 to 255 is possible (00 - FF) and
Charisma doesn't seem to work to well when you put it up very high, but here
are the scores:
59: Str
61: Int
60: Wis
62: Dex
63: Con
64: Cha
