Les Manley: Lost in L.A. чит-файл №3

ACT 1
~~~~~
The mystery begins at "The Pit", the Venice Beach location where Les was
supposed to meet Helmut:
VENICE BEACH
~~~~~~~~~~~~
1 Go one screen to the left and walk Les to the Newsbox located approximately
in the middle of the screen.
2 Try opening the Newsbox. You'll get a message suggesting that you read
through the glass. Do so to learn about an upcoming eclipse.
3 Now go one more screen to the left and find Lance the lifeguard. Move Les
up to him and select "talk to".
4 Go through all of the dialog appearing in Les' dialog box, saving the one
referring to the eclipse for last. Lance will provide you with names of
people you'll want to see and locations you'll want to visit.
5 Finally, select the dialog referring to the eclipse. After a brief
exchange of words, the sky will momentarily go dark. When it does, move
the cursor over Lance the Lifeguard and the "?" will appear. Click the
mouse, and take his bandanna.

Note: The eclipse won't happen (and you can't get the bandanna) unless
you stop by the Newsbox first.

6 Now return to "The Pit" (two screens right) and talk to the two girls
working out there (Cristy and Misty). They will provide you with some
important information, including the name of a policeman (Rock) to talk to
on Hollywood Boulevard. Be sure to go through all of the dialog before
leaving.

Note: Cristy and Misty won't provide you with this information unless
you've spoken to Lance the lifeguard first. If you attempt to talk
to them before visiting Lance, they'll tell you to leave until
you've spoken to "one of their friends."

RODEO DRIVE
~~~~~~~~~~~
7 Go to the L.A. map by moving one screen to the right.
8 After the "Meanwhile..." sequence, click on the Rodeo Drive sign located in
the middle of the map.
9 When you arrive on Rodeo Drive, walk Les towards the car parked at the
bottom of the screen. Now, click on the pigeon sitting at the far right
of the screen. The pigeon will take off and fly over the car, leaving a
memento on the car's windshield.
10 Use your K-Mart card to pick up the pigeon "spoo". Believe it or not, you
will need the spoo later on.
HOLLYWOOD BLVD.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
11 Return to the map and click on Hollywood Blvd. which appears at the top of
the map.
12 Upon arriving on Hollywood Blvd., go one screen left. You'll see Rock the
policeman in the middle of the street. Talk to him to learn how the police
are putting a lid on all information about the disappearances, and that
the LAPD database is the only means of getting such information.
13 Go to the couple on the corner behind Rock and talk to them. Agree to sign
an autograph for them, and they'll give you a map of L.A., just like the
one you already have.
14 Now return to the L.A. map, and click on the Sunset and Vine street sign.
Upon arriving, go one screen to the right. You'll see a street peddler
there.
15 Talk to the street peddler, and he'll tell you that business is slow and
that he is new to the area and doesn't know his way around. To help him
along, give him one of your maps (if you only have one map, you won't be
able to do this). In exchange, he'll give a cellular phone. You'll need
this later.
16 Now return to the L.A. map and head back to Hollywood Blvd. When you
arrive, go one screen to the right, and talk to the guy standing alone on
the corner. His name is Blade.
17 You'll soon find out that he not much of a conversationalist. However, he
will make a comment about waiting for a phone call (clue!). At this point,
give him the cellular phone. In return, he'll call a buddy at Accolade in
Customer Support who will give you part of the password (it's "Elvis")
you''ll need to get into the LAPD database.
18 Now cross the street and enter Murray's hotel. Talk to Murray, and ask him
about Blade (the "kid across the street"). He'll tell you that Blade's
real name is Peacechild.
19 Now leave. Note as Murray raises his arm to point to the exit, a yellow
ticket is revealed. To get it, you must go back in and ask about it.
Ultimately, he'll give it to you (it turns out to be a free pass to Club
Mud) as well as a package of film. Now leave for good.
20 Go back to Blade and call him Peacechild, then ask for any street advice.
He'll tell you about some punks named the Boyz by Lou's pawn shop, and how
to get by them.
21 When you are through with Blade, go two screens left (back where Rock is).
Behind and to the left of Rock is a purple booth with a "Pose with Stars"
sign above it. Go over to it and go inside.
22 Before doing anything, give the girl the film Murray gave you. You will
now be able to get your picture taken with the cutout of the star of your
choice, which in this case will be LaFonda Turner.

Note: If you go to this booth before going to Murray's, you'll be told
that the camera is out of film.

23 After having your picture taken with LaFonda's cutout, follow the street
down to the bottom of the screen. You'll end up by "Lou's Pawn Emporium".
24 Guarding Lou's entrance are the Boyz that Blade told you about earlier.
Upon talking to the Boyz, they'll tell you that you aren't wearing any
color (clue!). Thus, you'll need to give them the bandanna. When you do
(and only if you've talked to Blade first), they will let you in.

Note: You cannot get by the Boyz unless you get Blade's "street advice"
first.

25 When you get into Lou's, you'll need to exchange the photo of LaFonda
(turns out he's a real big fan of hers) for the laptop computer on the
shelf behind him.
26 After getting the computer, leave Lou's and head back towards Blade. When
you get to Blade, keep following the street to the bottom of the screen.
You'll soon find yourself at the entrance of Club Mud.
27 Give Bob the Barker the pass you got from Murray, and then let the show
begin!

Note: If you try to enter Club Mud without having the computer, Bob the
Barker won't let you in. He'll tell you that there's not a seat
left and to try back later.

28 After the mud wrestlers recap the previous evenings events, they'll ask if
they can do anything else for you. Say yes, and after a couple of
exchanges of dialog, Dominique will give you a DOS disk which you'll need
to boot the computer you swapped for with Lou.
29 Once you've taken the DOS disk, Les will appear with DOS disk in hand,
ready to go. Click on the computer which appears on the table in front of
Les, then select "boot" followed by "hack". Now select the password
"Elvis". All of the information about the case will now be displayed,
including case files on two primary suspects: Maladonna and Abe Goldstein.
30 You now have enough information to get into Paramounds Studio. Up until
this point, the guard at Paramounds studio would not let you in until you
had a "reason".

PARAMOUNDS STUDIO
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
31 Now return to the L.A. map and click on Paramounds Studio. Upon arrival,
talk to the guard and tell him your "reason", and he will let you in.
32 Go to the second stage door to the right (a "?" will appear) and click on
it. Have Les walk inside once the door opens.
33 Once inside, Les will find himself on the set of a horror film. Directly
in front of him is a row boat, which, upon closer examination, isn't quite
seaworthy yet. Les must use the "spoo" on the row boat to plug the
potentially game ending hole in the hull.
34 Once this is done, Les can safely take the boat to the erie looking house
on the other side of the lake.
35 After arriving at the house, open the door to make Jason Myers appear.
Once he appears talk to him and select the "Freddie is scarier..." dialog.
After a cute little animation sequence, a hidden stage door will be
revealed.
36 Before leaving, take Jason's axe. Now click on the stage door (just above
the Camp Blood sign), open it, and have Les exit the set.
37 Les will next appear swinging into a sound stage, interrupting a Maladonna
video taping. However, the producer and director of the video will
"discover" Les, making him a very "hot" property in town.
ACT II
~~~~~~
1 While being discovered, the producer of the Maladonna video remarked that
he hoped that Les "had an agent." (hint!). This is Les's next objective.

SUNSET & VINE
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2 After his discovery, Les will appear on the map of L.A.. Click on the
Sunset and Vine street sign.
3 Upon arriving on Sunset and Vine, move Les forward to the doorman up the
street. The doorman is an employee of Hollywood agent Tony Leoni. Click
on the door behind the doorman, then enter the building. Les will appear
in Tony Leoni's office.
4 After a brief conversation, Tony instructs Les that he'll need a portfolio
before getting anywhere in Hollywood. Les' next objective: find a
photographer.
5 Fortunately, Les doesn't have far to look. Move Les to Vine Street (where
the street peddler is). To the right of the peddler is Luther Blue's
photography studio. Enter the studio.
6 Luther tells Les that he will agree to shoot his portfolio only if Les
upgrades his face. Next step: find a plastic surgeon. And what better
place to look for one than on Rodeo Drive.
7 Return to the map and click on Rodeo Drive. When Les arrives, move him to
the second building from the left (a "?" will appear). Enter the building
and confront Dr. Nick.
8 Mention Luther Blue to the good Doctor, and he will suggest some cosmetic
options for Les. Settle for the economy plan (a nose).
9 You can now return to Luther Blue's studio to get you portfolio shot.
10 Upon completion of your photo shoot, a message will appear telling Les
that he is about ready for his big lunch meeting with Abe Goldstein, but
not until he dresses appropriately (hint!).
RODEO DRIVE
~~~~~~~~~~~
11 To rectify that, Les must return to Rodeo Drive. From Dr. Nick's office,
go one screen right, and Les will be at the door step of "Les Boutique", a
favorite clothing store of the stars.
12 Enter the store and talk to the clerk behind the counter. Tell her that
you want to look around first. Now, move Les as far right as possible
(he'll actually be behind a rack of clothes). As soon as Les disappears,
the infamous Maladonna will enter the boutique and approach the clerk. A
conversation between the two will ensue, which, of course, Les will be
able to overhear!
13 As soon as Maladonna leaves, Les will decide to skip the new wardrobe
idea and will appear in Spago's for his interview with Mr. Hollywood, Abe
Goldstein.
14 During his conversation with Abe and his two lovely escorts, Les must
reject Abe's offer for him to star in "The Les Manley Story". (If Les
agrees, then the game is over). Once rejecting the offer, Abe will
invite Les to a big Hollywood party being thrown by Dr. Nick that night,
which Les agrees to go to.
15 After his meeting with Abe, Les will appear in the driveway of Dr. Nick's
mansion, the site of the big party.
16 Finally, a section of the party will still be shown. At the upper right
part of the screen will be Les, Maladonna, and Abe together. Click on
them, to bring up a close-up.
17 Les will now be shown confronting both Abe and Maladonna. Les must then
ask one or both of the suspects one of the questions displayed, which will
ultimately lead Les to accusing one of them. Although this may seem like
a critical point in the game, it actually doesn't matter which person Les
accuses.
18 After this little exchange, Maladonna will be shown being forcibly stuffed
into a white limo by the two women who were at Abe's side during Les'
lunch meeting with the Hollywood kingpin.
19 Les will then follow the limo to the Hollywood Wax Museum: the site where
the game's climax will shortly take place.

ACT III (The Final Act)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1 While facing the front door of the boarded up Wax Museum, Les must use the
axe he took from Jason to bash it open.
2 Once inside the museum, move Les two screens right. Les must now take the
torch which is burning on the back wall.
3 At the far right of the screen are the wax figures of LaFonda, Maladonna,
as well as Helmut, who is perched on a stand. Use Les' hand (found in
inventory) to "touch" either LaFonda or Maladonna. A little wax will rub
off and will appear in your inventory.
4 Now use the torch on Helmut's stand (far right of screen) which is located
at the far right of the screen. A close up of a waxed Helmut will appear.
5 After a moment of grief, Les hears a sound and then is captured by the two
girls who kidnapped Maladonna.
6 The next scene show Les strapped to the same table that LaFonda was on
earlier in the game. And, finally, the culprit behind the entire
extravaganza is finally revealed: the sinister Mad Wax.
7 After Mad Wax discloses his plans to Les, the action swings back to the
museum where Helmut is shown busting out of his wax mold, thanks to the
nearby torch which began to melt Helmut's wax molding.
Note: If Les doesn't use the torch to view Helmut, the game will end at
this point with Les joining the threesome as wax figures.
8 After Helmut escapes, you must control him and save Les from doom. The
first thing to do is to take the torch.
9 Now move Helmut two screens to the right where Batman and Superman are.
Go up to the Warrior and use the torch on his sword. This will loosen up
the sword, allowing Helmut to take it.
10 Now go over to Tarzan and use the sword on his loin cloth to remove it.
The loin cloth will come in handy very soon.
11 Move Helmut back to his stand (two screens right), and use the sword on
the stand to remove some wax fragments.
12 Now go to the alien in the forefront which is dripping acid-like "drool".
Use the wax you just got (the "white bits of wax") on the drool. Helmut
will create a cup from the wax and will fill it with the drool.
13 Move Helmut one screen left and walk to the sarcophagus at the back left
of the scene, just to the right of the mummy. Use the sword on it and it
will open.
14 Helmut will now appear at the top of a staircase, looking down several
flights. A message will appear stating that it will take too long to use
the stairs. What you need to do is to use the loin cloth on the stairs.
This will create a parachute for Helmut, and he will be shown floating
down the staircase.
15 Once Helmut lands on Les, have him use the cup o'drool on the metal bands
that are strapping Les down. This will allow Les to escape.
16 After Les escapes, Mad Wax will grab Helmut and run upstairs. However,
Les won't be able to follow as he'll have to deal with the two "zombie
bimbo" girls once again.
17 Following a humorous animation, have Les use his K-mart card on them. The
girls, being highly fashion conscious, won't be able to handle it and will
disintegrate.
18 The action will now switch to the top of the bell tower, where Mad Wax is
shown holding Helmut. To get Les to appear, click on the trap door
directly in front of Mad Wax (a "?" will appear on it).
19 After negotiations between Les and Mad Wax fail, Les must take some action.
20 Have Les flash the K-Mart card again. Mad Wax will now pull a gun on Les.
Now try pulling on the bells rope located behind Mad Wax. You won't be
able to, but this will trigger Helmut to act. He will bite Mad Wax's hand.
Helmut will then be tossed backwards, and will land on the bell rope.
21 Helmut will now ring the bell, but not before Les does something first.
Since the ringing of the bell will be painfully loud, Les must plug his
ears with the wax he got when he touched the waxed LaFonda or Maladonna in
the museum. After using the wax, Helmut will ring the bell, causing Mad
Wax to plug his ears, hence dropping the gun.
22 Les must try to take the gun. He won't be able to do this either, but
again his action triggers Helmut, who will take position (with the help of
a bat) behind Mad Wax's right foot. This signals Les to push Mad Wax,
which he ll do when you use Les' hand (in inventory) on Mad Wax. Mad Wax
will then be shown falling down the staircase, to an ugly demise.
23 Game over!!
