Mechwarrior 2 Dirty Tricks

Well folks...I'm back...After many fun hours on Tie Fighter finding new and
crazy stuff to do...I decided to tackle Mechwarrior 2..a really fun game if
you understand the universe..email me if you don't know what the hell is going
on in that game and you want an update. But here is the dirty tricks I came up
with...
1. Jump jets are primarily designed to jump the mech up and down and side
to side...but the "home" key puts the jets going in a forward motion...If
you are above ground level..this propels you at 2 to 3 times your 'mechs
maximum running speed. Use the Mightymouse cheat code to go REALLY
far...heh..heh...
2. Here is an interesting mech design idea...Take a light mech with decent
running speed but can still take some punishment, a Nova for example,
strip off all weapons and add 5 tons of jump jets and maximum engine, drop
the heatsinks to single and remove all but ten. Then put 10 machine guns
on and add 1 ton of extra ammo each. In combat or the mission, chain all
the guns to fire at one press of the key(button). A machine gun does 2
points of damage, 10 machine guns can do 20 points (the same as an ac20
(the biggest gun in the game)) and you get 400 shots. fun huh?
3. Last thing...If you have Netmech and are getting bored with all the
same 'ol shoot-outs...try this...take a Firemoth and strip off everything
(heatsinks, weapons, jumpjets) and put the maximum engine and as much
armor as you can afford...Then fight an opponent with exactly the same
thing...BUMPER MECHS!!!! Ooohh the good 'ol days of youth..running around
at the fair...paying a ticket to play bumper cars...cars that now weigh 20
tons...heh..heh...heh...(P.S. This doesn't work very well against the
computer ;- Happy gaming!!!!

Use the foward jump jets until you reach about 3/4 top speed or top speed
and then shutdown.Instead of stopping as you might think you will keep
going!!Not only that,but you will also be able to go right through
walls,buildings,mountain etc. When you take your finger off the foward
jets you will stop. You can power back up before this though.
Now for the DIRTY part.You can stop while inside a mountain or
building!!Not only that,but you can power up and lock,fire and hit Mech
that is in range.He will not be able to hit you however.(This really
upsets people in Netmech)When you want to move on out of the
mountain,(power up if your still shutdown)and then you can either use the
jets or the engine to get out.I recommend the jets 'cause they are much
faster.

To hide in a building or mountain, jump jet forward then shut down before
hitting the wall. Note: You must continue to hold the jump jet forward key
after shutdown.

In the jade falcon trial of positions, head straight into the wall in
front of you as soon as you start. target your enemy. then zoom the
targeting camera all the way in. not only can you see through the wall,
but you can fire through it too. your enemy cannot. blow him away. move
out from behind it when he is destroyed. shoot the engagement sphere and
then repeat the process for the second mech. garenteed wins every time.
