Need help with Hexadecimal and Octal mathamatics?...
If you're using Windows, try using the Window's calculator (usually under your
Accessories Group) in scientific mode.
Select either HEX or OCT, and enter the numbers as per usual. You can then
enter the result into the puzzle. If you have a Windows 95 Keyboard, you can
jump back and forth from the calculator and the game by pressing the "Window
Start" key. Of course, you can always just work it out on paper or use a
regular calculator.
Don't forget, in the hexadecimal system, A=10, B=11, C=12....F=15.
