Level 1: Wotankeld
Summary: Fight Ulf to Prove Your Manhood
Level Time: 5 minutes
Walk down the path to the right, across the bridge and past the man in the
garden. Turn left at the pine trees. Go into the house, ignore your dad, drink
mead on table, then leave the house and go up the hill to the left. Push the
gate
to open it, then go through and take the path left to the side door of the
longhouse. Enter the longhouse, go to the right alcove, and keep hitting USE
until you have all the weapons and a shield. Select the RUSTY MACE as your
weapon. Go to the center of the wall, nd hang out until the door opens. Enter
the
room with ULF. Watch the cinematic, then beat up ULF until he kneels down. Watch
the ending cinematic.
Level 2: The Ship’s Graveyard
Summary: Die (Not!), and Escape From a Sea Cave
Level Time: 3 minutes Watch the opening cinematic.
Swim up to the surface of the water, then level out your view and swim towards
the small tree to get out. Select the SHORT SWORD as your weapon, and kill
anything that disturbs you. Go right toward the bones, and get the RUSTY MACE
from the human skeleton. If you are injured, return to the tree and eat FRUIT.
Move to the water’s edge with the tree behind you. Jump into the water and swim
straight down to the sunken ship’s cabin. Swim in the door on the right of the
cabin, down through the hole in the floor, across the hull, then down and out
into free water. Continue under water to the other ship’s cabin, around to the
left, and into the hole on your right, then down and to the left. Swim through
the tunnel to the end of the level.
Level 3: The Underwater Ruins
Summary: A Big Fish Tries To Eat You, Plus (Yay!) Platform Jumping
Level Time: 6 minutes
Swim forward through the tunnel, surfacing in the air pocket and then diving to
continue through the tunnel. When you hit open water, swim to the right along
the
bottom, dodging the DANGLER FISH, and up and around the right side of the tower.
Surface and get onto the ledge, then use the RUSTY MACE to smash the wall to
make
a small hole and flood the tower. Jump back in, swim down and to the left to
find
an underwater tower entrance. Swim into the tower and up to the platform. Climb
out of the water, and use the RUSTY MACE to smash the wall ahead of you. Walk
through the hole in the wall, and jump up onto the sloped ledge to the right.
Walk to the top of the slope, then turn slightly left and jump up to the ledge.
Time for a little side trip to pick up a shield! Continue forward along the
wall,
jump up and over, across, up and over, down the last pillar. Turn around and get
the GOBLIN SHIELD leaning against the pillar. Turn to the right, jump in the
water, and swim down to the submerged tower entrance again, then up to the
platform inside. Get out of the water, go through the hole in the wall, and jump
back on the sloped ledge, go up, and jump back to the ledge above and to your
left.
Turn around, and jump onto the pillar facing the broken bridge coming from the
other tower. Jump down and across from the pillar to the broken bridge. Cross
the
bridge, and jump down onto the grate, breaking it. Swim down to the bottom,
watch
the DANGLER FISH break the wall grating. Turn right at the broken wall grating,
then swim down and across through two openings in the walls, and up into a tower
with grates at the top. Swim through the broken grate and get out of the water.
Walk across the grate room, into the room with torches. Cross that room to the
left into a hallway, and press the switch on your right to drop the floor. Jump
in, swim down to the bottom, turn right at the grate, through the arch, up and
through the hole in the wall to your left. Turn left, swim up, keep going up
through hole in ceiling and get out of the water and eat the lizard if you’re
hungry. Jump back in and swim down, but stop at the hole in the floor. Swim past
the grate on the floor, to your right and through a crack in the wall, then up
to
finish the level.
Level 4: Underwater Ruins at Sigmundr
Summary: Kill Stuff, Meet God, Have Shocking Experiences
Level Time: 6 minutes
Swim up, get out of the water, select your RUSTY MACE, and move to the archway.
Avoid the first batch of MEAN PLANTS and crabs by following the left wall of the
passage. Kill the crabs in the room with the white plant. Continue through to
the
drop-off. Jump up to the platform with the big column on the left, then go
around
the column to score a shield and sword. Then jump down and across the water to
the platform with MEAN PLANTS and crabs. Select the SHORT SWORD and kill
anything
that bothers you. To kill the MEAN PLANTS, slice them when their whip is
extended. Eat the lizard on the wall to your left if hungry. Jump up onto the
wall, and across to the platform with the white plant, to avoid the 2nd batch of
monsters. Continue around to your right past the white plant, jump between the
two MEAN PLANTS, and walk up to the ledge of the round platform with a MEAN
PLANT
in the center. Avoid or kill that plant, then face left and jump up to two more
MEAN PLANTS. Pass them, pass a white plant, go left, kill a MEAN PLANT, then
jump
down and to the right to a tower with a green floor and mushrooms. Jump up onto
the ledge, then onto the rope and climb up onto platform with 3 MEAN PLANTS.
Select the SHORT SWORD and get past the plants. Go to the wall, and smash it.
Enter the room, and strange music plays. Walk down to the structure in the
middle
of the room and climb onto its upper floor. Watch the cinematic of Odin. Then go
forward through the door he opens, jump down, and move along the wall to the
right to avoid the monsters. At the end of the path, jump down to the ledge with
the white plant. Follow the path as it spirals down and to the right. At the end
of the path, jump down and left to the rocks below. Now platform jump your way
across the rocks and around to the left. Avoid the water, or the jellyfish will
electrocute you. The final three jumps are from the tops of the stone pillars,
across toward the white plants and the opening in the wall; for these get a
running start. When you reach the hole in the wall, go forward, and jump down on
the left side to finish the level.
Level 5: Underworld Caverns at Skorir
Summary: More Spelunking
Level Time: 3 minutes
Jump down, stay to left, pass column, kill crabs, and use series of platforms to
descend safely into the water. Face dead-end cave at water surface. Swim down
through the passage, following the swarm of white lights. Veer to the left, swim
through blue water passage between columns, then down and up again to the right
through blue water passage. Surface at the small square platform before the
MAN-O-
WARS electrocute you, in a room with three waterfalls. Swim to the far platform,
stopping and getting out at the middle platform to avoid the man-o-war shocks.
Run and jump up to the platform with the white glowing plant. Select your SHORT
SWORD. Pass the plant and look down to the right where you should see a GOBLIN
fighting with a MEAN PLANT. Go down the corridor to the right, killing goblins,
crabs, and MEAN PLANTS as needed, and enter the room with three ropes hanging
from the ceiling. Use the ropes, jumping from rope to rope, to climb up to a
passage with a white glowing plant. Go through the passage, and follow the
narrow
rock bridge to the right, being careful not to fall, to the area with lots of
white glowing plants. Jump onto one of the white plants near a rope, and jump
from the plant onto the rope. Climb up the rope, and drop down from the rope to
the platform above. Turn around to face the ropes. Follow the wall around to the
left, to the area with one MEAN PLANT and one white glow plant. Jump down and
across to the platform. Follow the wall around to the left, past the white
glowing plants, until you see a passage up and to the left. Jump up to that
passage, go through the passage, and jump down to finish the level.
Level 6: Underworld River Caverns
Summary: Even More Spelunking
Level Time: 6 minutes
Kill the GOBLINS and CRAB that attack you immediately. Move forward through the
passage until you trigger the cinematic of the earthquake that takes out the
stone bridge. Go to the right and use the series of ledges below to descend to
the bottom. At the bottom, move quickly to the sealed end of the passage to
avoid
a falling boulder. Once the boulder falls, pass it on the left and jump up onto
it. From the top of the boulder, jump to the rope and climb up, then jump down
into the chamber. Cross the chamber, wait for the steam jets to stop, climb down
the ropes, jump off, get the HAND AXE from the fire, and go down into the dry
river bed. Position yourself so that the MEAN PLANT is behind you, and take the
passage to your right until you reach a cliff. At the cliff, go up and to the
left, stopping at the white glow plant and waiting for a boulder to destroy the
path ahead of you. Follow the wall on your left until you reach the spot where
two flowing rivers join. Walk up the left-hand river to avoid most of the MEAN
PLANTS. When the river ends, move to the right and jump up to an area with a
white glow plant and a MEAN PLANT, and three ropes to your left. Climb up the
ropes and jump between them, and jump down to the ledge where two GOBLINS have a
campfire. Kill goblins and eat lizards as needed. Follow the ledge past all the
green mushrooms, jump down, and follow the passage around to the left until you
reach the top of a waterfall. Jump into the pond at the top of the waterfall,
swim down, and swim along the left wall to avoid the DANGLER FISH. Resurface in
each air pocket, and continue following the left wall. After two air pockets,
there will be an underwater passage to the left. Swim through that passage,
around to the left, then up through the tunnel to end the level.
Level 7: Eitri Underworld Lair
Summary: Kill Lots of Crabs, Go To Hel For It
Level Time: 5 minutes
Swim up to the surface, get out of the water, and select the RUSTY MACE. Jump up
onto the ledge with the GIANT CRAB. Beat the crab until he dies – he’s
especially
vulnerable when he flips upside-down. Jump up to the next ledge, kill more GIANT
CRABS. Jump up to the ledge with the white glowing plant, and kill some CRABS.
Jump up to the ledge with a bunch of GIANT CRABS, and either kill them or just
jump over them and run around to the left where a GOBLIN with a torch will
attack
you. Kill him, then select the SHORT SWORD and cross the room with the pool of
water, killing MEAN PLANTS and goblins as needed. At the end of the room there
will be a passage on the left, with a stone pillar in the middle and some small
crabs to kill. Follow the passage to the end, deal with the MEAN PLANTS and kill
all the goblins, pick up the BONE CLUB if you kill a goblin that has one, and
jump up into the tunnel at the end. Go through the tunnel, dealing with the MEAN
PLANTS and goblins and avoiding the lava pool by following the wall to the
right.
When the passage slopes down, move over to the left wall, go down to the ledge
where some goblins are fighting a giant crab, deal with them as needed, then
follow the ledge to the right, dodging the fire geysers, and smash the wall at
the end several times to create an opening. Go through the opening and up, then
jump down the hole. Select SHORT SWORD. Turn to your right, you should see some
GOBLINS. Head towards them, dealing with MEAN PLANTS as needed, to reach a blue-
green passage on your right. Enter it, and jump up onto the ledge to your right.
Continue up and around to a pond with jellyfish. Cross the pond following the
left wall, then cross the second pond following the right wall. At the end of
the
2nd pond, jump in, swim down through the right-hand tunnel, and swim to the left
avoiding the DANGLER FISH, around, and up into a chamber. Get out of the water,
take the passage to your right, and enter a room with a bunch of GIANT CRABS and
CRABS. Run to the end of the room, and jump onto the crab in front of the ledge,
then from the crab onto the ledge and up to the area with three glowing plants.
Keep the wall on your right, and follow the ledge to the end, take the passage
on
your right, then jump down to end the level.
Level 8: Helgrind: A Gate of Hel
Summary: Kill Lots of Crabs, Go To Hel For It
Level Time: 7 minutes
Select the SHORT SWORD. Move forward, watch cinematic of Odin, get the RUNE OF
LESSER POWER on the left, forward to edge of drop. Move to left and drop down to
platform below, then jump down to next ledge. Move forward to trigger the cages
that rise and fall from the lava. Wait for the closest cage to go down, then as
it begins to rise jump onto it. Jump from it to the next cage, and from there to
the ledge with the crucifixes. Follow the ledge around to the left, then turn
and
face the second set of cages. At this point, a DISHONORED may attack you. The
only way to kill him is to burn him or to chop off his head – the jumping spin
attack is good for this. Jump across the 2nd set of cages to the platform on the
other side. Go forward and enter the chamber , climb up to where some BIG
GOBLINS
are hammering on the walls. Jump up, kill the goblins, and break through the
wall
at the end of the passage. Move left to the double doors with skulls on them. Go
through them when they open. Select BONE CLUB or RUSTY MACE, and kill all the
ARMORED CRABS. A wall ahead of you will lower, and a metal door will open.
Select
SHORT SWORD and go through the door. Move forward and onto ledge that runs along
the staircase; at the end of the ledge, knock down the metal grating. Jump down
into the room on the other side, kill any DISHONORED you need to, and pull the
switch to open the wrought iron door. Run up the steps and through the corridor
on the right, then jump to the ledge on the left and knock down the left panel
of
the door. Move along the ledge to the left and jump down to the balcony with two
switches. Ignore the switches, kill the Zombie, and follow the path around to
the
right where there is a rope. Climb up the rope and jump down into a room with
barrels. Smash the barrels, enter the room, and head up the ramp to the right to
get another RUNE OF LESSER POWER. Kill dishonored as needed. Go down ramp and
jump down hole in floor to get to a room with lots of weapons and two more RUNE
OF LESSER POWERS. Pick up any weapons you need. Climb the chain down to the room
with a grate over lava. Throw the switch to close the gates on the dishonored
spawners, then kill off any DISHONORED left in the room. The steel door will
open. Go up the stairs to a hallway with fire grates and spikes. Forward, pull
switch on left to open door on right. Go through the door, turn right, pull the
switch, go through the door that opens, to a room with two switches and a
dishonored. Kill the dishonored, pull both switches to open the gates to the
tram. Get into the tram, pull the switch, and ride the tram to the next level.
Level 9: Bridge Over Geirvimul
Summary: Hel Hath No Fury...
Level Time: 9 minutes
As soon as the tram cinematic ends, move Ragnar forward inside the tram to avoid
having him fall to his death in the lava. When the tram stops, go forward to the
door which opens automatically, and to the door at the end of the hallway which
also opens automatically. Go forward to view the statue of the goddess Hel and
get yelled at by her. Iron bars will open giving access to the staircases on the
left and right. Go to the left staircase, and jump up onto the ledge on the
right
side. Run down and around and back up the ledge on the other staircase to
trigger
all of the monsters. Then go back around and kill off the DISHONORED and ARMORED
GIANT CRABS. Crouch down and go into the two small compartments on the sides of
the hall to get a new SJIELD and a RUNE OF LESSER POWER. If you need food, there
are lizards on the platform with the statue of Hel. Standing in the room facing
the statue of Hel, take the stairs down to the left. There will be a door with a
metal grating behind it. Pick up the TORCH from the wall to open the grating,
and
then approach the door to open it. Go through the door, and through the hallway
to the right. Use the TORCH or BONE CLUB to burn up any bugs that attack you; if
torch goes out, re-light it at any firepot. Open the door at the end of the
hall,
go through, and move to the right wall. Pick up a METAL SHIELD from the wall.
Proceed ahead and around to the left into a hallway with a firepot. Throw the
switch at the end of the hall to open the door. Go through, and around to the
left. Torch the DISHONORED on the right fast, before he has a chance to throw
the
first switch and toast you with a flamethrower. Throw the 2nd switch to bring
down an elevator on your right. Throw the switch again to start the elevator
going up, and jump through the opening to the right onto the rising elevator.
Ride the elevator up to a room with caged GOBLINS. Go through the room, ignore
the first switch you see but throw the 2nd one to raise the grates. Go through
the door behind you by the sacks of flour. Deal with the DISHONORED on your
left,
then go out to the balcony and hit the gong to raise the metal bridge across
lava
below and to your right.
If you want two RUNE OF LESSER POWERS, jump onto the balcony ledge and walk to
the left, behind the gong. Jump to the rope. Go down over the lava and jump from
the rope to the ledge on your left. Follow the wall on your right to get the
RUNE
OF LESSER POWERS, then climb back up the rope to the gong balcony.
Return to the room with the caged goblins (use switch to open grate). Take the
elevator down, go to the end of the hall, and turn left. Cross the bridge, then
pull the switch to prevent DISHONORED from following you. Run out to another
balcony, and hit the gong. Get onto the long green roof to your right, face
left,
and jump down into the open grating on the balcony below. Ignore the switch, but
pass through the arch on your left and through the door to a room with barrels.
Smash the barrels on the right to get a RUNE OF LESSER POWER. Then pull the
switch to start the floor moving. Stay on the floor as it travels across the
lava, killing any DISHONORED that attack you, and avoiding the flame geysers,
until you reach the end of the level.
Level 10: Vargeisa: Fires of Hel
Summary: Feeling Hot, Hot Hot...
Level Time: 3 minutes
If you’re hungry, eat the lizards on the wall ahead and to your right. Then walk
ahead, turn left, fight DISHONORED, and pull switch to raise platform from
below.
Pull switch again, jump onto platform, and ride down to lava. Get on the walkway
and follow it to the rope. Climb up the rope to a high balcony with a switch.
Pull the switch to lower another platform to lava level. Climb back down the
rope
to the walkway, and follow the walkway across the platform that lowered,
avoiding
flame geysers. Kill DISHONORED, ring gong to lower another platform, walk across
that to the far walkway, again killing DISHONORED and avoiding fire geysers. Go
into the cave, follow wall up to right, and at the top go through the arch and
move right immediately to avoid the falling rocks. Face the broken fence and
jump
down and forward to the platform below. Move forward and through the arch on
your
left. Kill the DISHONORED to trigger an earthquake / avalanche and start the
lava
rising. Climb the series of ledges ahead and to the left, then turn around and
jump up onto the ledge with the GOBLIN. Move away from the edge of the ledge,
kill the goblin to get the GOBLIN AXE, then jump down to the platform on your
left, up onto the rock, running jump to the platform on your left. Ignore the
dishonored there, go to the two rock pillars and climb on top of them and jump
across to the ledge with the rope. Climb the rope and keep going up to get to
the
end of the level.
Level 11: Eliudnir: Hel’s Chamber
Summary: Pull Switches and Jump On Stuff
Level Time: 12 minutes
Select your GOBLIN AXE and kill the DISHONORED and ARMORED CRABS. Go to the end
of the hall, pull the switch to open door on your left. Kill the the DISHONORED,
get the SHIELD from the wall on your right, smash the barrels and the wall on
your left. Exit through the hole in the wall to the ledge, and follow it around
to the right; re-enter through hole in wall to see passages to right and left.
Take the passage to the left, deal with the DISHONORED, pull switch, enter room,
kill DISHONORED and GOBLIN, go forward and down, pull switch, turn around, go up
and exit through the door on your left. Run all the way through the hallway and
around, dealing with DISHONORED as needed, until you reach a chain rope going
down. Kill the GOBLINS there, then climb down the chain and jump onto the round
pressure plate in the floor. Deal with any GOBLINS and DISHONORED, then stand
with the iron bars behind you, go through the door in front of you, kill the
DISHONORED, and pull the switch to activate rotating wall panels in the previous
room. Jump on the barrels and climb the ledges to get a RUNE OF BLOODLUST and a
RUNE OF LESSER POWER. Return to the previous room, deal with the DISHONORED, go
through the rotating panel to the right of the iron bars and pull the switch to
open the iron bars. Go back into the room and through the rotating panel
diagonally across to get a RUNE OF LESSER POWER, a WOODEN SHIELD, a GOBLIN AXE,
and a LIZARD. Go back into the room, and exit through the opening where the iron
bars were. Follow the corridor up and around to the lava pit.
Jump up to the ledge on the right, then across and to the chain rope. Climb up
the rope, and jump down and right to a ledge with a switch and lots of LIZARDS.
Pull the switch, then turn around, jump back onto the rope, climb up, and jump
down to the ledge on your left. Enter the room with blue wall panels. The wall
panels will explode, and DISHONORED will come out. Behind the center panel is a
RUNE OF BLOODLUST. Deal with the DISHONORED, then go to the far alcove and walk
through the wall with the picture of Hel on it. The floor will drop you down
into
a room with lots of small CRABS. Go to the end of the room and through the hole
in the right wall, pull the switch to lower the portrait in the crab room, deal
with the crabs, and go back through the hole in the wall and to your right. Ride
the platform up to Hel’s chamber.
Select the SHORT SWORD and move forward to trigger the cinematic of Hel yelling
at you. Watch the cinematic, then Hel will start throwing yellow magic at you
and
DISHONORED will attack. Run forward up the stairs to the right, through the door
into a room with LIZARDS on the left, through the door on the right to a hallway
with a DISHONORED and a switch. Kill the dishonored, pull the switch, and run
quickly to the ledge where the metal grating is broken. Jump onto the ledge and
onto the elevator platform that the switch lowered (this is tricky – there is
barely enough time). Ride the platform up. Face so that the RUNE OF LESSER
POWERS
are on your right. Go forward to the end of the platform and jump down to the
balcony. Kill the DISHONORED and pull the switch. Go through the door on the
left
as you face out the balcony, then left and through another door to a ramp
leading
up. Run to the top of the ramp and pull the switch on your right to turn off the
flamethrowers. Deal with the DISHONORED. Continue left, and enter a junction
with
flamethrowers ahead of you. Pull the switch behind you and to your right to open
the grate on the right corridor. Go down the right corridor, jumping over the
sweeping blade traps in the floor, and enter a junction with one switch ahead
and
to your left. Kill GOBLIN. Pull the switch to open the grate at the end of the
hall on your left, wait for the flamethrowers to die down, and run through the
hall to the other side to a junction with two switches. Ignore the switches; go
right and around to the start of a corridor with pressure plate floor traps. Run
down the corridor, jumping over the pressure plates, kill all the GOBLINS, and
pick up any SHIELDS, AXES, or other items you need.
Pull the switch, jump on the grate, and ride up, then jump down, to get the RUNE
OF LESSER POWER by the statue of Hel. Then jump down to the floor and through
the
opening where the grate was, onto the slightly raised area to avoid taking
damage. Approach the blue wall panels to release DISHONORED. Go into the alcove
on the right and step on the pressure plate to lower the right wall, Go through
the lowered wall, and up and around the staircase on your right. At the top of
the stairs, eat LIZARDS as needed. Then enter the room, and go through the door
on the right. You will be sealed in with some DISHONORED. Run through the center
of the room toward the two steps and closed grate to trigger a cage that falls
from the ceiling. Go up on the steps, turn around, and jump onto the cage while
it is still on the ground (this is tricky – there is barely enough time). When
the cage goes up, jump onto the balcony and kill the GOBLINS.
Ignore the lower switch, but pull the upper switch to open the grate at the top
of the stairs in the room below. To the right will be an opening into a passage
with two RUNE OF LESSER POWERS, many LIZARDS, a WOODEN SHIELD, and a HAND AXE if
you need them. Jump down into the room with the falling cage, run up the steps
into a long hallway, and go to the end of the hallway ignoring side passages and
ignoring or killing DISHONORED as you go. Pull the switch at the end of the
hall,
turn around and take the 2nd passage on the right to cross the bridge. At the
other end of the bridge, go through the door, turn right, and go to the end of
the hallway, again ignoring side passages and ignoring or killing DISHONORED.
Pull the switch at the end of the hall to open the doors below. Turn around, and
take the 2nd passage on the left to get tothe bridge again. Jump down from the
bridge to the room where you started the level. Deal with the two GIANT ARMORED
CRABS. Then run down the stairs under the statue and through the door. Go around
to the right, dodging DISHONORED and flamethrowers, and up the ramp on your
right
to the tram. Pull the switch, and ride the tram to the end of the level.
Level 12: The Fires of Sultr
Summary: Take a Dip in the Lava
Level Time: 2 minutes
Wait for the cinematic to finish. As soon as it finishes, and the camera angle
changes, move Ragnar forward slightly to keep him from falling into the lava
(bug). When the tram stops, go forward through the metal doors to trigger the
cinematic of Hel yelling at you again. Then platform jump your way down to the
grating in the floor. One of the walls will explode. Go through the passage and
down the stairs. Smash the door and enter the large chamber where you can kill
lots of DISHONORED and GOBLINS. Go right and ahead to a carved wall with a wall
torch on each side. Smash the wall, enter and go down the passage to where it
forks. Go right, to the lava pit. Jump down and right to the platform, eat
LIZARDS if you need them, then go forward and left through the lava to the
center
of the platform (this will hurt). Get out there, watch the cinematic, and go
left
and over the rocks, then back out and right and up, to get LIZARDS to restore
your health and a RUNE OF LESSER POWER. Return to where you exited the lava, and
go up to the platform with several DISHONORED. Walk into the center of the metal
platform, pick up the ROMAN SWORD, and kill all the DISHONORED with it. Walk to
the left and jump down to the platform, enter the tunnel on your right, climb up
and over, smash through the floor, and jump down through the hole to end the
level.
Level 13: Hyrokkin: Realm of Hungr
Summary: Flame Geysers, Ghost Ships, and Spinning Blades
Level Time: 9 minutes
Move forward, ignoring Hel as she whines at you. Turn left, then right to reach
a
metal door. Open the door, go down the stairs to the room, and get the TORCH.
Follow the wall around to your right. At the first metal door on your right,
kill
a DISHONORED and a GOBLIN, then leave and go through the metal door across from
you. Kill the DISHONORED; continue through killing more DISHONORED, into another
room. Go through that room and up. Ignore the metal door, go to the room with
the
switch, and pull the switch to open half of the metal grate. Return to the
previous room and exit through the metal door. Go to the metal door across from
you, kill the DISHONORED, and enter the room with the switch. Pull the switch
top
open the other half of the metal grate, then leave the room, out through the
metal door and to your left. Enter the passage on your left that was previously
sealed with the two metal grates. Go down the passage to the first open door on
your left. Follow the passage through, then turn right and follow that passage
to
a room with two switches. Go to the far wall and smash it, then jump down into a
large room with two firepots. Go to the door across the room. It will drop,
revealing a room with several doors, ropes, and lightning bolts.
Enter the room and move forward, then take the passage to the left. Several
DISHONORED will attack you, and there will be a RUNE OF BLOODLUST ahead. Deals
with the DISHONORED as needed, then enter the first door on the left. Get right
up against the right hand wall and let the blade sweep you to the back of the
room (if this doesn’t work, try jumping over the blade, or running behind it
just
as it passes – or select the HAND AXE and use its rune power to gain temporary
immunity to the blades). Eat the LEG OF MEAT, and pull the switch. If you want a
RUNE OF LESSER POWER, jump up to the platform on your right. Leave the room the
same way you got in.
Go straight ahead and to the right, to a door that opens to a room with multiple
spinning blades. Enter the room and follow the wall to the right. After the
blade
passes, move to the first corner on the right. Wait for the next blade to pass,
and move to the next corner. Wait for the two blades to pass at about the same
time, then go around the corner to the right and jump over the sneaky blade to
get to the switch. Push the switch, and then go back out along the same wall as
you entered, dodging and jumping over blades using the corners as safe areas.
Exit the room and deal with the new batch of DISHONORED that will attack you.
With the door behind you, move forward and left towards the lightning. You’ll
pass another RUNE OF BLOODLUST. There will be a door on the left, which opens to
a room with three spinning double-decker blades. There are also DISHONORED in
this room. Follow the wall to the right, dodging blades and using the
dishonored’s alcoves and other wall indentations as safe zones. Exit by
continuing around to the right. Mostly, the blades will take care of the
DISHONORED for you.
Exit the room and wait for explosion, then climb up the chains to your right.
Jump down to the platform and go through the hole in the wall. Move down the
hall
and watch the cinematic of your ghost ship as Hel whines some more. Follow the
wall around to the right, waiting for each batch of flamethrowers to die down
before continuing. Take the passage to your right, kill the DISHONORED, and eat
the DELICIOUS FRUIT (purple) for some unexpected health and rune power. Go back
out of the passage, and continue around to the right dodging flamethrowers. Go
up
the ramp, and follow the ledge halfway around to a hall with lots of flaming
DISHONORED and GOBLINS. Run out to the edge of the bridge to let them burn up
without hurting you. Then go down the hall and through the door on the right to
end the level.
Level 14: Nagrind: Stand of the Dishonored
Summary: Night of the Living Dead
Level Time: 8 minutes
Move forward, take the first left, then right, then left and follow the hall;
fend off the CRABS and DISHONORED that attack you, and jump down to room with
mirrored / marble floor. Run to your right across the pressure plate near the
wall. Then turn around and run back to the hallway ahead and to your left. Run
partway down the hallway to trigger an exploding wall that releases a
DISHONORED.
Then run out to the left side of the doorway in the round building in the middle
of the room, dodging the pressure plate. You want the DISHONORED to run across
the pressure plate, opening the door for a split second so you can run in.
NOTE: If you miss your chance, you need to run over to the first pressure plate
and step on it to raise up the 2nd one. Then you need to either maneuver the
dishonored to run across the 2nd plate when you are near the door, or kill that
dishonored and run down the hall to trigger the 2nd one. After you kill the 2nd
one, an infinite spawner will launch a new dishonored at the end of the hallway
each time you kill one. Keep trying it until you get through the doorway into
the
round building.
Once you’re in the round building, run across and jump down to the floor below.
Pull the switch to open the metal grates. Then go to the edge of the lava pit
and
jump on the round platform. It will carry you forward. If you want the RUNE OF
LESSER POWER on your left, aim towards the ledge when jumping onto the round
platform, and reverse to get back. Skid your way across the lava toward the dead
GOBLIN, get the GOBLIN SHIELD if you need it, and exit through the door on your
left. Move forward and to your right, smash the wall, and pull the switch. Then
climb the rope and jump down to the ledge. Run around the ledge, past the metal
grating, smash the wall, and pull the switch to start the lava rising. Turn to
your left, jump down and go forward into a room with two brown round slabs in
it.
Get onto the 2nd slab and ride it up as the lava rises, then jump to the
platform
and get on that slab to go up more. When the lava stops rising, jump to the
mirrored / marble ledge. Move forward into room; get goodies including ROMAN
SWORD, RUNE OF LESSER POWERS, LEG OF MEAT, and METAL SHIELD. Select ROMAN SWORD,
then go through arch into room with lava pool to trigger cinematic – another
lecture from Hel. Run through room, and down into room with big statue of Hel,
and forward to trigger 2nd cinematic. Now, you must kill a lot of DISHONORED (50
–
100) until the door at the end of the room lowers. Before running through the
door, do a Quick Save. Then run through the door, pull both switches, get into
the tram on your right, pull the switch, and ride to the next level.
NOTE: If you stay in the room and kill DISHONORED until no more appear, the
level
takes longer but you get to see something special before running through the
door.
NOTE: If the tram never finishes its journey to the next level, reload from the
Quick Save, kill more DISHONORED, and try again (bug).
Level 15: Helreginn: Machine of Hel
Summary: Can I Get Out of Hel, Already?
Level Time: 6 minutes
Get off the tram, move forward through the metal doors and turn right, then
through the door on the left. Go down the staircase on the right, forward and
smash out the wall to reveal lava. Jump to the ledge on the right, forward into
a
small room. Smash the barrels and the wall behind them, and jump up to the
protruding rock, then climb to the balcony to your right. Trigger the cinematic,
then kill the two DISHONORED and go behind the machine in the center and jump
down to another balcony. To your left and behind you is a breakable wall; jump
up
and smash it, then climb up and through the hole. Jump down, kill the
DISHONORED,
move forward into the room with the small statue. Throw the switch on your left,
and then kill the statue when it comes to life. Exit through door at the other
end of the room, go up the ramp to the right, kill the DISHONORED on your right,
then go to the switch at the left. Wait for the elevator to come down, then pull
the switch and jump on the elevator to ride up. Go out to the balcony ahead and
to the right, and press the switch to trigger the cinematic and engage the
machine. Kill the DISHONORED that attack you, and exit through the door to your
left (with the switch behind you) Go through the door at the end of the hall to
a
room with GOBLINS and a RUNE OF LESSER POWER. Return to the switch, and then
exit
through the door on your right. Stand in the center of the floor; the floor will
raise and then lower; there are LIZARDS at the top. When the floor lowers, go
through the grating that is already open, and down the hall. Take the first
right
turn, kill any DISHONORED there, and pull the switch on the right past the 2nd
set of pillars to lower the bridge into the machine. Pull the switch inside the
machine, and ride up to the next level.
Level 16: Skelkingr Caverns: Goblins’ Lair
Summary: Not Just for Goblins, Anymore...
Level Time: 4 minutes
Pull switch to open machine. Jump out, and listen to Odin while walking around
to
the rear and into the tunnel there. Keeping to the left to avoid traps, move
forward toward the water. Past the water, on the right, eat FRUIT if needed.
Follow the wall to the right, cross the chasm with water at the bottom, smash
through the wall at the end of the passage, and go right into the tunnel. Keep
left in the tunnel, ignoring the meat on a stick (trap), and enter the tunnel
with glowing white plants. At the end of that tunnel, go right and jump across
and down to the ledge. Face the rope and jump onto it. And climb up to the
green-
lighted passage. Go down the passage and right to get a RUNE OF LESSER POWER in
bones. Return to the center, and go out onto the stone protrusion. Jump across
and down to the ledge with GOBLINS, and take the passage to the left. Ignore the
sword stuck in the ground (trap), and jump up the ledges. Go left toward the
metal dome to trigger the cinematic of more DISHONORED from Hel. Kill some of
the
dishonored to trigger a 2nd cinematic, then let the GOBLINS kill the DISHONORED.
Enter the metal dome, get the RUNE OF LESSER POWER, and pull the switch to exit
the dome. Go past the dome and down the ramp to the right. Kill the GOBLIN, eat
LIZARDS if needed, and jump down through the hole to the next level.
Level 18: Lair of the Torfar-Kolla
Summary: Kill a Snow beast, Ride a Bug.
Level Time: 5 minutes
Watch the opening cinematic of the big hairy thing that wants to eat you, then
wait for it to break the net you are in. Run to the right and forward, then
left,
pick up the sword stuck in the ground, the turn around and run into the low
cave.
Run to the end, pick up the RUNE OF BLOODLUST, turn around, and kill the TORFAR-
KOLLA. Run through to the cave with the green mushrooms, and climb up on the
left
ledge to get a WOODEN SHIELD, HAND AXE, and WATERLOGGED SHIELD. Jump to rope on
your right, climb, and jump down to platform to get BONE CLUB. Return to floor,
go forward and crouch to get through low cave. Kill the CRABS, then go forward,
up, and out the passage to your left to find the TRIAL PIT MACE. Jump to the
ledge ahead and to your right, with barrels, up to next ledge, and ahead. Kill
the goblins and run and jump across to the platform, then knock down the stone
support. Some rocks and a cage fall, making a hole in the floor. Jump down to
floor, kill the GOBLINS and get a GOBLIN AXE and GOBLIN SHIELD, then go down
through hole in floor. Follow right wall, killing CRABS as needed. Along the
wall
you will find LIZARDS and FRUIT. Continue to end of room, up to ledge on left,
turn around, up to ledge on right, up to room with RUNE OF LESSER POWER. Turn
right and go to end of stone bridge to get another RUNE OF LESSER POWER and view
the hive. A bug will knock you off the bridge, then another bug will rescue you
and you ride to the end of the level.
Level 19: The Gates of Thorstadt: Hlora’s Pass
Summary: Brrrrr…It’s Cold Here
Level Time: 5 minutes
Pick up the torch on your right. Go forward and to your right through series of
dark caverns that eventually open up to a snowy path. Follow the path to your
right, jumping as needed, drop the torch, select TRIAL PIT MACE, and jump across
chasm to ledge and follow path around to your left. Enter the cavern and go
through until you see a ledge high on your right with a white glowing plant.
Jump
onto the ledge to your left, then from there to the ledge with the glowing
plant.
Jump up to your left, across chasm to new ledge, and forward into tunnel. Jump
down hole in floor and go forward to exit blocked by crossed timbers. Kill and
DARK VIKINGS that attack you. Go forward to the house, smash the door, and get
the WOODEN SHIELD, MEAD, and LEG OF MEAT if you need them. Go around behind the
house to the passage blocked by crossed timbers. Smash them, climb the ledges,
jump across to the ledge behind you, climb the ledge, and follow the path out to
the trees.
Kill the GOBLINS. Follow the path to the right, and jump the ledge to find
LIZARDS, a RUNE OF HEALTH, and a VIKING METAL SHIELD, then return across the
chasm. Jump down to your right toward the WENDOL, up to ledge on your left, and
across chasm; kill GOBLINS. Jump down and across next chasm to where the WENDOL
was (it is gone). Follow wall around to left, to a chamber with a fire and
grating; get the LEG OF MEAT and the ROMAN SWORD. Turn around, run up gently
sloped rock, climb ledge ahead and to your right, over the ridge, and up to the
left. If there is a WENDOL, wait for it to run off. Drop down to the snow and go
down to the right to where the DARK VIKINGS are fighting the WENDOL. Kill
everything. Head through the mineshaft on the left, turn left, and exit on your
right. Climb platform and stairs ahead to your left, get a cinematic lecture
from
Odin, then go to the front of the castle, around to the left, wait for the side
door on your right to open (you might have to hit it), enter, go to left, kill
the DARK VIKINGS, go to the left and up the rope, then up the ramp to your
right,
to the elevator on your left, and down to end the level.
Level 20: Mountain Fortress of Thorstadt
Summary: What a Quiet Little Village…
Level Time: 8 minutes
Watch the opening cinematic in which you mug a guard and get a change of clothes
–
whew! You smelled bad!
Go forward to the end of the courtyard, then left and out to your right. Move
toward the bridge, killing the DARK VIKINGS. Smash through the ice on the right
side of the bridge, and swim through for a TRIAL PIT MACE, to the other ice hole
for a RUNE OF LESSER POWER and a RUSTY MACE, then swim back to the bridge and
past the wheelbarrow to get some DELICIOUS FRUIT. Get on the bridge and face the
wheelbarrow. Get on the left ledge of the bridge, and jump up to the sloped roof
ahead, then jump to the opening over the door on the right, through and jump
down
into the room. Make a left; go up the stairs, right, and left. Smash through the
wood door on your left for some MEAD, then forward and smash the breakable
floor.
Drop down through the hole in the floor, go to the next hole in the floor, and
drop down into the sewers.
Turn around, go left, right, right again to passage with rope up. Kill the
GOBLIN, climb the rope, and jump from the rope to the room. Smash the door
ahead,
exit, and kill the DARK VIKINGS. Go forward to the end of the courtyard, left,
smash the door, enter room, climb rope, go past barrels, smash door, out and
left
to courtyard, and kill the DARK VIKING. There’s MEAD in the building on the
left.
Go forward along the street, then down the street to your left, past the
wheelbarrows, to find a ROMAN SWORD, METAL SHIELD, FRUIT, and LIZARD on the
right. Continue to the end of this street, turn right, and smash the door ahead
to trigger an axe-throwing cinematic. Exit and return to the street with
wheelbarrows, kill the DARK VIKINGS, pick up anything you need. Go forward to
the
intersection. On your left will be an open door; go in to get a THROWING AXE,
METAL SHIELD, and MEAD, then return to the intersection. Turn left, ignore the
DARK VIKINGS fighting with each other, and go up to entrance of building on your
right. Kill the DARK VIKING there, go in, and climb the rope to the platform
above. Do a Quick Save at this point. Now, go to the ledge with the stacked
boxes, and knock down the boxes to kill the DARK VIKINGS below. Jump down into
the courtyard and throw the switch on your left to open the door to the right of
the switch. Kill the DARK VIKING that comes through the door.
Turn around and move to the door ahead and to your left in the courtyard. If the
door is open, cool, go through the door and ignore this next part – otherwise,
you have run into a glitch in the version of this map included in the golden
master and 1st commercial edition of Rune. You have two choices to work around
the glicth: (1) download the latest official Rune patch (at this writing,
version
1.01) from any of the Rune fan sites, install it, and re-load your Quick Save
game; (2) use cheat codes to get through the door.
If you decide to use cheat codes to pass the door, press the tilde (~) key to
make a new window appear. Then type CheatPlease and press enter, then type Ghost
and press enter, then press tilde again. Ragnar should be swimming in mid-air.
Swim through the door, press tilde, type Walk, press tilde again, and move
toward
the door to trigger the DARK VIKINGS inside the building.
Once you’re through the door (whether you had to download, cheat, or just go
through it), kill the DARK VIKINGS that attack you. Pick up the VIKING AXE. Then
go forward, up the ramp, around to the left past the shields, smash the door on
the left side of the alcove ahead, go down the stairs, right, left, and
diagonally left out into the courtyard with the village rune stones. Kill any
GOBLINS and DARK VIKINGS; get the RUNE OF LESSER POWER on the platform. Follow
the wall around to the left until you near the other end of the courtyard. On
your right will be a monument with a statue and a switch; pull the switch, then
go around to the other side of the monument and pull the second switch to open
the doors in the alcove at the end of the courtyard. Go to your left and up the
platforms for another RUNE OF LESSER POWER. Kill any new GOBLINS and DARK
VIKINGS, then go through the right-hand door and down the corridor to reach a
sealed off passage. Smash the stones sealing the passage to end the level.
Level 21: Hergrimer Quarter: Streets of Thorstadt
Summary: Dangerous Burning Buildings
Level Time: 6 minutes
Move forward into dead-end courtyard, eating LIZARDS on the right walls if you
need them. Select HAND AXE. Throw axe at chain ahead, up, and to right to
collapse wooden platform. Pick up your HAND AXE, and platform jump up debris.
Move to end of corridor, smash door, go through, and kill any DARK VIKINGS and
BERSERKERS that attack. Go back through the smashed door, and into building
entrance ahead and to left for MEAD and a LEG OF MEAT. Smash the wooden support
to open the overhead doors. Climb boxes to upper floor for a RUNE OF BLOODLUST.
Move to other end of room, smash barrels, and jump down to street. Kill more
DARK
VIKINGS. Go right and jump down to a courtyard with a tunnel ahead and one
behind. At the end of the tunnel ahead, find a RUNE OF LESSER POWER. Then go
down
the other tunnel to a room with barrels, another RUNE OF LESSER POWER, and a
switch.
Press the switch to bring down the elevator. Then press the switch again and get
on elevator to ride up. Jump across to alleyway, forward and jump up to the
barred windows on your left for some LIZARDS and hit the bars to trigger the
cinematic of a bunch of DARK VIKINGS. Go to the end of the alley, turn right,
and
jump up into the window on your left. Smash the barrels there and jump down to
your right. Exit to the courtyard and kill the DARK VIKINGS and BERSERKERS,
opening a door ahead and to the right. Go through the door, turn left, and move
down the street to trigger cinematic of tower exploding.
Turn around and go through the narrow passage on your right. Enter room with
barrels and go left. Jump up to platform behind you, then onto box and up again.
Move forward and jump to the window across the street. Go in, turn around, and
go
out through the window on your right to a white platform. Jump across the street
again to the upper ledge (the one on the level that is burning). Turn right and
jump across to the square wooden platform. Don’t try to enter the tower.
Instead,
jump up and to the right to the top of the building at the end of the street,
and
down into the building. Fall through the grating and move toward the staircase
to
end the level.
Level 22: Grottintanna: Vessel of Blood
Summary: A Friend In Need...
Level Time: 5 minutes
Climb the stairs and enter a room with three pillars. Smash the wooden supports
of one of the pillars (don’t stand in front of the pillar), let the pillar fall
smashing the door open, kill the DARK VIKING, and exit through the smashed door.
Go past the barrels, through the corridor and to the right to a room with a RUNE
OF LESSER POWER and LIZARDS, then turn around and go down to the right to enter
a
room with a WENDOL chained on a pillar. Use the HAND AXE to break the chains,
freeing the WENDOL. As it runs away it will smash a wall. Follow through the
wall, kill the DARK VIKINGS, climb up to ledge on right for a RUNE OF LESSER
POWER, and exit through the door across the courtyard. Follow the passage up,
around, and out to the street where you will see two DARK VIKINGS fighting. Kill
them, then pick up the VIKING BROADSWORD and a METAL SHIELD if you need it.
Go left and to the end of the street to find another RUNE OF LESSER POWER. From
there, turn around, go left to the street, and smash the wall on your right to
enter a room with several sacks and a rope. Climb up the rope to the next level,
and smash the door ahead to enter a room with a table, MEAD, and a LEG OF MEAT.
Go past the table and smash out the wood to the left. Jump to the ledge across
the street. Follow the corridor around and enter a room with a grate on the
floor
and a rope. Climb up the rope to a room with a LIZARD and a broken chandelier.
Jump to the room across the street, go forward into the hanging chandelier, and
cut the chin to drop it onto the DARK VIKINGS below. Go forward and to the
right,
killing another DARK VIKING, to a room with a table, MEAD, and a LEG OF MEAT. On
the other side of the room is a switch.
Press the switch and run back into the main room and out onto the street through
the door on your right. Turn left and go through the arch at the end of the
street. Try to climb up the boxes on your right, knocking them over and
triggering the cinematic of the attacking WENDOL. Return to the street, kill the
DARK VIKINGS, and pick up the DARK SHIELD if you need it. Move forward to the
opening on the right created by the WENDOL, for a RUNE OF BLOODLUST. Then move
down the street and turn left. At the dead end, turn right and enter the room
with the wheelbarrow. Jump onto the wheelbarrow and up to the next floor. If you
need it, get a WOODEN SHIELD, DARK SHIELD, MEAD, or LEG OF MEAT. Go through the
window on the left to end the level.
Level 23: Motsognir: Fierce Resistance
Summary: Viking Carnage
Level Time: 11 minutes
Move forward through the archway and kill the DARK VIKING on the left. Go to the
left side of the room, press switch, get onto the elevator, smash barrels, and
ride down to a room with two RUNE OF LESSER POWERS, a WOODEN SHIELD, and MEAD.
Kill the BERSERKER, get what you need, push switch and jump onto elevator to
ride
back to the room above. Continue through the hole in the wall on your left and
drop down into the courtyard. Stuck in the wooden pillar are a VIKING AXE, a
TRIAL PIT MACE, a SHORT SWORD, a ROMAN SWORD, and two HAND AXES. Move forward
and
then right, kill more DARK VIKINGS, and press the switch to open the door in
front of you. Go through the open door into a room, and press the switch on your
left to raise the bars outside, then return to the courtyard and kill more DARK
VIKINGS. A Go into the room that has opened up on your left near the wooden
pillar, for MEAD and a LEG OF MEAT. At some point a cinematic will trigger, and
lots of DARK VIKINGS will attack you.; kill them. The wooden pillar will lower,
giving you access to a RUNE OF BLOODLUST. Get that and any weapons you need,
then
leave the courtyard through the door that has opened on the left side (across
from the room with food).
Smash through the barrels on your left, then jump across the pit ahead and to
the
left. From there jump across the pit to the right. Smash through the door on
your
right and enter a room with three chain ropes. Try to go through the door that
is
ajar, to trigger an attack by two BERSERKERS. Kill them, then put away all
weapons, get on the wheelbarrow and jump to the 1st rope. Jump between the ropes
to get to the ledge with a RUNE OF BLOODLUST, a RUNE OF LESSER POWER, and a DARK
SHIELD. Jump back down to the floor, turn around, and go forward and right to a
room with a LEG OF MEAT, MEAD, a WOODEN SHIELD, a HAND AXE, and two switches.
Press the switch on the right, return to the main room, and go through the door
that has opened on the left. Run around in this room, killing all the DARK
VIKINGS and BERSERKERS (ring the gong to make sure they all know you’re there).
When you have killed the last one, a cinematic will trigger opening a metal
grating on a room behind a statue. Go to that room and the statue will come to
life; kill it. Get any LEG OF MEAT and MEAD you need in the room, then climb the
rope up past the 2nd floor to the roof.
Kill the DARK VIKINGS on the roof, then smash the window ahead and to the left.
Enter through the window and drop down through hole in floor, smash through the
blocked off door, go through, jump to the ledge to enter a set of storage rooms.
Go left, right, and left to a room with GOBLINS; kill them. Then right,
straight,
and right to a room with more GOBLINS; kill them. Then right, straight, and
right
to a room with a large box. Climb onto the box and jump up into the room above
where some DARK VIKINGS and GOBLINS are fighting; kill them. Go to the right
side
of the room, push the switch, jump on the elevator, and ride it up to the next
level.
Level 24: Skeggjold Meeting Hall
Summary: Shhh...Be Vewy Kwiet
Level Time: 2 minutes
Watch the opening cinematic of the elevator ride. Move down the hall and jump
down to the stained glass floor. Part of the floor breaks when you land; jump
down through the hole onto a pillar and then to the ground; get the RUNE OF
LESSER POWER. Go through the open passage, and smash the wall at the end of the
passage. Move through the hole into a long, wide hall. Move forward through the
hall to the last vertical barrel standing by itself. Put away all weapons, jump
onto the barrel, face ahead and to the left, and jump up to the wooden platform
and from there to the balcony. Ready a weapon.
Go left and around on the balcony to the first door on the other side, smash the
door, enter the room, let the DARK VIKING run away, and pull the switch to open
the large metal door on your right.
Go through the door, which closes behind you, into a room with a tall obelisk.
Three DARK VIKINGS will ambush you; run to the obelisk and jump onto the fire
pot
to lower the obelisk, giving you access to the RUNE OF HEALTH. Kill the DARK
VIKINGS, go forward past the obelisk, and to the right; push the switch, turn
around, and exit the level through the door ahead and to the right
NOTE: If you smash this barrel by mistake, there’s another way up to the
balcony.
Smash doors in the hall and fight DARK VIKINGS until one knocks a pillar down
from the balcony. You can use the fallen pillar to jump to the wooden platform
and up to the balcony. There is a RUNE OF BLOODLUST at the end of the hall, on
the left, to help you fight the DARK VIKINGS.
Level 25: Haugspori Plain: Outer Temple Wall
Summary: Crucifixion? Good!
Level Time: 6 minutes
Watch the opening cinematic. Move to the right and jump up to get a RUNE OF
BLOODLUST. Then jump down to the floor and kill the DARK VIKINGS. Move toward
the
red and white stained glass window; a DARK VIKING on the other side will smash
it
and attack; kill him. Enter the room behind the broken window and pick up a RUNE
OF LESSER POWER on the right. If there are wooden supports beneath the elevator,
smash them. Push the switch to bring down the elevator, watch where the elevator
comes from. If it comes from the 2nd floor, jump on when it reaches your floor
and ride up to the roof. If it comes from the roof, wait for it to go back up
and
stop on the 2nd floor, then push the switch again and jump on to ride to the
roof.
At roof level, move forward through opening in wall onto near edge of roof. The
roof will explode. Jump down to the floor, smash through it, and jump down to
the
ground outside. Move forward and to the left, and press the switch. Move forward
to trigger the cinematic of the plain of crucified warriors. Go left and around
to building entrance. Smash door, go in and kill any DARK VIKINGS there.
Climbing
up the boxes to the ledge you will find MEAD and a RUNE OF LESSER POWER. Behind
the right-hand pile of boxes at ground level you will find an exit.
Go through the exit, down, forward, and jump back up into another room where you
will be attacked by lots of DARK VIKINGS. Climb up on the box, jump from there
to
the pillar, and from there up to the 2md floor. Press the switch you find there,
select the TRIAL PIT MACE, and go through the newly opened door (behind the
barrels). Go down, smash through the debris blocking the passage, and jump
through the hole in the rocks to the right. Go to the area where you see
statues.
Walk as far to the left and to the right as you can go, using the TRIAL PIT MACE
to smash every statue. Some of the statues may come to life and attack, in which
case, kill them. On the right-hand side, go outside the grate, along the ledge,
and into an open area to your right for MEAD, LEG OF MEAT, and a RUNE OF LESSER
POWER.
Return to the middle of the ledge and face the ramp leading down, with a pillar
of fire on each side. Go backwards down the ramp, jumping over a series of logs
that are rolled down the ramp after you (or you can avoid the logs by walking
down the ledge on either side of the ramp, jumping through the fire pillars). Go
left and around the building. Enter a passage on the right, pull the switch, and
go forward, and through the open door on the right to end the level.
Level 26: Loki Temple at Thorstadt
Summary: Sigurd Wises Up
Level Time: 6 minutes
Go down the hallway until you reach a dead-end. Jump onto the crate, up to the
next floor, and move to the end of the hallway triggering an earthquake and
cinematic. Turn right and smash through the wooden supports, then jump down. Go
through the left door, jump across the hole in the floor, move to the end of the
hall, go right, and press the switch on your right. Turn around, go left, left
again, and move to the fallen debris on your right, just before the hole you
jumped across. Jump up onto the ledge to your right, turn around, jump up onto
the beam, and across to the opening in the wall above a giant statue of Loki.
Jump down into the statue room, face the statue, and move to the top of the ramp
at the right. Jump across to the ledge on your right; go in, left, and through
to
the last opening on the left. Enter the opening and jump to the ledge. Walk
along
the planks, jump into the hole in the wall and watch the cinematic. Drop down
and
jump up to the ledge on the right, then move to the end of the passage to meet
with Sigurd. He dies and gives you SIGURD’S AXE. Smash the door on your right,
go
down the stairs, and follow the hall to a blue room with MEAD, a HAND AXE, a
GOBLIN AXE, a VIKING AXE, a WOODEN SHIELD, a SHORT SWORD, a ROMAN SWORD, and a
BROADSWORD. Enter the cavern, go up and right, and press the switch to open a
door at the end of the cavern. Follow the cavern, walking or crouching as
needed,
and go out on the stone bridge to get a RUNE OF HEALTH. Turn around, walk back
toward the cavern, go right, and ledge-jump down to a path. Follow the path to
the end of the level.
Level 27: Tyrdall Mountain Range: Wendol’s Lair
Summary: Kill Wendols and Dodge Rocks
Level Time: 7 minutes
Follow the cavern to a statue of a WENDOL. Watch the cinematic of ODIN, then go
right and around into a big cavern with a RUNE OF LESSER POWER, a VIKING AXE, a
METAL SHIELD, and LIZARDS. Turn around and kill the WENDOL that is attacking
you.
Leave the cavern and go right onto the ice through a mountain pass. The ice will
break, dropping you into the water. Swim forward and to the right to a hole in
the ice, and climb out of the water. Leave the frozen WENDOLS alone. Move
forward
past the left-hand wendol to a cliff, triggering an avalanche that will
un-freeze
the wendols. As they attack, jump from the cliff into the water. Swim underwater
in the direction of the lighted fish, forward, under the ice ledge, and up into
a
cavern where you climb out of the water.
Climb up the ledges, fighting off GOBLINS and eating FRUIT and picking up a RUNE
OF LESSER POWER, until you reach a ledge with a very bright light. Continue
across and jump down the other side for a LEG OF MEAT. Jump down again and move
forward and to the right. Kill the two WENDOLS and the DARK VIKING, continuing
to
move forward and to the right. Kill the GOBLIN at the base of the ledge, then
jump up, go up the slope, and down onto an ice field. Move forward, avoiding the
steam jets in the cracks and killing the GOBLINS that attack. Jump up to the ice
boulder on the right for LIZARDS, then across to the higher ice boulder for a
DARK SHIELD. Two WENDOLS attack from the passage ahead and to the right. Kill
them, then jump across to the passage and move toward the rock blocking your
progress to trigger another WENDOL attack. Kill the wendol, continue down the
passage until it opens up to the left. Go down and right, forward and kill the
GOBLINS, then down the slope to trigger an avalanche. Continue forward and down,
avoiding the falling rocks, until you reach a cavern with large and small
glowing
white plants. Go left and down to end the level.
Level 28: Tyrdall Mountain Range: Vindsvalr Ravines
Summary: Don’t Break the Ice.
Level Time: 13 minutes
Move forward and drop down, through the cavern and left to the rope bridge.
Cross
the bridge, and watch the DARK VIKING ahead of you jump into a gust of wind to
cross the chasm. Move to the point he jumped from, do a Quick Save, and listen
for the sound and flurry of snow indicating a new gust of wind. Look at the
platform across the chasm, and jump into the gust. Once you land on that
platform, go forward and left to another jumping point, wait for the gust, and
jump to the platform across the chasm and to your left. Walk across the rope
bridge to your right, up past the trees and up to the end of the ledge, face to
the left of the pine trees on the other side of the chasm, and jump into another
gust of wind to cross back to your left. Kill the GOBLIN, then go forward and
right into the cave on your left. Jump down to the right, and continue jumping
down until you reach a snowy path, killing GOBLINS as needed.
Follow the snow field down and to the left, through the pine trees, killing a
WENDOL. Continue down until you reach a snow wall. Climb over the wall and head
forward and to the right, killing more WENDOLS, until you see a cave entrance
above and to the right. Go up the ramp and through the cave, to another snow
field with two frozen wendol statues. Move forward past the trees, kill a group
of GOBLINS, climb up and over and slide down steep slope to the left, and drop
down into a pool of water.
Swim through the water just below the ice, and up through a hole to get out of
the water. Move forward along the long ledge, then into the cavern on the right
where you kill another WENDOL. Follow the cavern to the end, then climb up the
ledges to a room with a white glowing plant. Continue up to the right, forward,
kill the GOBLINS, and take the path to the right. Jump up into the ice cave
ahead, and through the cave, killing more GOBLINS, past a room with large and
small white glowing plants, to a ledge with two ice stalactites. Smash the
second
stalactite to make a hole in the ice below. Then head back the way you came,
looking for a platform below and to the right with a RUNE OF LESSER POWER and a
SHORT SWORD. Jump down to the platform, then down to the ice. Walk around to the
right to get to the hole in the ice made by the falling stalactite. Jump in, and
swim through the passage just below the ice, then up through a large hole and
get
out into the ice field.
Move forward slowly until you hear the ice crack. Now you need to cross the ice
field without falling in. If you do fall in, the current will carry you back to
the start of the ice field, and you start over. Here’s one way to cross it. If
you end up having to try several times, you may find another way across, which
is
fine too!
Crouch and move forward down the center of the ice field, slowly, until the ice
falls away in front of you. Move along the right edge of the hole in the ice, to
the right wall, and forward along the wall until another piece of ice falls away
on your left. Move along the left edge of the new hole, around and back to the
right wall on the other side. Still crouching, move slowly forward again pressed
up against the right wall until a piece of ice falls away ahead of you. When it
does, jump ahead and forward across the gap to avoid falling in. Then turn
around
again and jump over the hole along the right wall to the stone platform on the
right.
Crouch again and move forward along the right wall. Just past the edge of the
stone platform, another piece of ice will fall away ahead of you. Jump across
the
gap in the ice, staying along the right wall. Crouch down again and move along
the wall. Ice will fall away in front of you, leaving only a very narrow ledge
against the wall. Jump and move forward several times to edge across the ledge.
Another piece of ice will fall away in front of you; use same technique to stay
on the narrow ice ledge and jump forward and around to the right, where there is
another stone platform with a LEG OF MEAT. From that platform, turn left and use
a combination of running and jumping to cross the ice to a stone platform with
LIZARDS. Two more pieces of ice will fall away below you as you cross, but the
jumps will keep you from falling in.
Now crouch and move forward slowly along the left wall until a big piece of ice
falls away in front of you. Run and jump along the narrow ice ledge, still along
the left wall, and then crouch again and follow the left wall to a place where
the ice gets thicker. Run across the thicker ice to the rock wall ahead,
triggering a landslide that breaks away the thicker ice behind you. Then climb
up
on the boulder, and up into the passageway. Follow it to a room with a large
white glowing plant and through and down to an ice bridge. Cross the ice bridge
and fight the really big WENDOL, triggering an avalanche. Then return to the
bridge, which is now broken, and jump carefully down to the ledge below it. Turn
around and enter the ice cave, turn left at the white glowing plants and reach a
very, very high cliff. At Odin’s urging, jump off the cliff; enjoy the fall, and
when you reach the pool of water swim forward to the snowy slope with trees.
Climb out of the water, and watch the cinematic of Ragnar entering a shed to end
the level.
Level 29: Dwarven Mountain Retreat at Gustr
Summary: Tilt at Windmills
Level Time: 7 minutes
Watch the cinematic of two DWARVES moving toward your location, and Ragnar
changing into a dark Viking outfit. Pick up the RUNE OF LESSER POWER in the
shed,
kill DWARVES as needed, pick up a DWARVEN WOODEN SHIELD if you need it, and exit
the shed. Go right, through the water, and around past several steam vent stacks
to an archway with a grating at the end. To your right through the trees are a
DWARF and a switch. Kill the DWARF and get the DWARVEN WORK HAMMER, then push
the
switch and return to the snow in front of the arch. The snow will move down like
an elevator, taking you to a chamber below. Jump into the water toward the metal
grate, turn around, and wait for the platform to go back up. Move ahead and
right
to deeper water. Swim through the tunnel and get out of the water straight
ahead.
Pull the level, eat the LIZARD if needed, and re-enter the water. Swim down the
tunnel to your right, surface, and swim to the dock. Push the switch behind some
barrels on the dock to drop a plank, then walk up the plank and exit through the
door on the far right.
Kill the DWARF, go left and smash through the wall behind some barrels. Go
through, climb the stairs, and enter the first door on the left. Follow the
passage around to an opening on your left above some hammering dwarves. Drop
down, kill the DWARVES, and exit through the wide wooden door. A DWARF on the
other side rings a gong to summon more DWARVES. Kill them and go up the stairs.
More DWARVES ambush you cinematically in the room at the top of the stairs; get
the RUNE OF BLOODLUST, kill them and exit through the archway behind some
pillars. Go down the stairs, cross the rope bridge, enter the door ahead, go
left, jump down, kill more DWARVES, and press the switch to open the double
doors. Go through the door, down the ramp, jump into the water, and swim to the
big windmill. Get out of the water onto the platform on the left side of the
windmill, climb the ledges on the right, and jump onto the windmill. Move across
to the right, avoiding the rotating blades.
Kill the DWARF (if the blades don’t get him), pick up the DWARVEN WORK SWORD,
and
cross the bridge into the room on your right. Press the switch and watch the
cinematic of the iron door half-closing off the mountain pass. Go back across
the
windmill ledge, jump down, and go through the door on your right. Kill the
DWARF,
press the switch, and watch the cinematic sealing off the other half of the
mountain pass. Climb back up and across to the far end of the bridge, wait for
the windmill to slow down, turn and face the blades of the windmill, do a Quick
Save, then jump forward onto a blade as it comes up. As the blade rises, back up
to the very tip of the blade. When the blade nears the top of its swing, jump to
the roof of the windmill and do another Quick Save. Move toward the other end of
the roof, directly above where the windmill blade reaches the tip of its swing.
Wait for another blade on its way down, jump to the tip of it, and jump from the
tip of the blade to the hallway on the left of the windmill near the top. NOTE:
You might be able to get to the hallway without stopping at the roof, by moving
between blades, but stopping at the roof makes it a little easier. Move down the
hallway, go right, and right again to a big rotating machine. Get into one of
the
slots in the machine and follow it around to drop through a hole in the floor,
and then quickly move out of the way of the other rotating machines. Go down the
stairs, kill the DWARF, and break the machine there. Drop down through the hole
in the floor and into the water to finish the level.
Level 30: Reginn River Engines
Summary: Destroy a Big Machine
Level Time: 10 minutes
Swim to land, ring the gong, move right to pick up the RUNE OF LESSER POWER, and
go up into the cave on the right where GOBLINS are caged. Kill DWARVES, press
the
switch, kill GOBLINS, then go into the gear room on the left, and turn left.
Pass
the steam vents and press the switch, then exit the gear room, dive underwater
behind the gong, swim through the opening ahead, surface, and swim to the ledge
on the left before the MAN-O-WAR can shock you. Cross the ledge, jump back into
the water, and swim up to the giant gear. Climb onto the water wheel and ride it
around to the other side. Jump back in the water, and swim forward through
another opening, and get out of the water onto the platform to the left.
Climb to the top ledge, kill the GOBLIN and CRAB, and eat LIZARDS if needed. Go
behind the waterfall, and kill the DWARVES triggering a cinematic and more
DWARVES. Get the RUNE OF BLOOD LUST and kill them too as they come down the
elevator. Then press the switch next to the elevator, jump onto the elevator,
and
ride up. Go through the cave, kill CRABS, and jump to the metal bridge using the
ledge on the far side of the room. Cross the bridge and press the switch at the
end of the hall to open a door on the front of the machine below. Go back out to
the bridge, jump down, go through the door that just opened, and jump down into
the steam tunnels.
In the steam tunnels there are many small DEFENSE DRONES that throw rocks,
explode, and do other harmful things. Select the DWARVEN WORK HAMMER to smash
them with. There are also many steam jets that will burn you, and many LIZARDS
and RUNES OF BLOODLUST.
Move forward through the first tunnel, then turn left, and left again, to reach
a
switch that will turn off some of the steam jets. Press the switch, turn around,
and smash the DEFENSE DRONES. Go to the other end of the current tunnel, and
drop
down. Jump up, go forward through the lower tunnel, and jump down to the right
near the end of the tunnel, smashing DEFENSE DRONES as needed, to reach flowing
water. Go left, swim down through the underwater passage and surface in an area
with a large rotating water wheel. Swim to the right of the water wheel and exit
the water. Climb up, go right, and climb down the rope to a room with a switch.
Press the switch to stop the water wheel. Then climb back up the rope, out, into
the water, and over the stopped water wheel. Swim to the dock on the other side,
go past the gong, climb up the rope, press the switch, and jump back down to the
dock. Move to the right of the dock and jump up into the metal structure, then
quickly climb the ramp to avoid being smashed by a sliding trap door. Kill the
DWARVES in the room and the GOBLINS on the elevator, press the switch and go up
the elevator, then watch the cinematic of a big machine blowing up, move
forward,
kill the DWARVES, go through the hole on the far left, and forward past the
rubble to exit the level
Level 31: Dwarven Mountain Lair at Nordri
Summary: Destroy Machinery and Platform Jump
Level Time: 18 minutes
Go toward the far end of the hall and walk over the recessed design on the left
between two doors. The doors will open and several GOBLINS will attack from
behind. Kill the GOBLINS, go through the doors and get the two RUNE OF LESSER
POWERS and MEAD. Continue to the end of the hall, through the door ahead on the
left side, and out to the balcony and gong. Kill GOBLIN, ring the gong, wait for
the bridge to come across, then run forward and jump onto the end of the bridge.
Cross, go left and into the chute with a rope hanging down from it. Climb the
rope, jump to the second rope, climb again, and jump to the floor ahead. Move
forward, kill GOBLIN, enter passage on right and move forward to ledge on right
with two switches. Press the switches to release the GOBLINS below; they will
attack the DWARVES below. When they’ve killed each other jump down and finish
off
what’s left, then enter the open door beneath the ledge you jumped from into a
room with MEAD. Kill the DWARF, press the switch on the left to open the door at
the far end of the room, and re-enter the room.
Go to the far end of the room, get the RUNE OF BLOODLUST, and go through the
open
door. Some debris will fall on your left, blocking the passage. Ignore this and
move straight ahead, smash the wooden barriers, and crouch into the alcove to
get
the RUNE OF LESSER POWER. Then go to the debris that fell when you entered,
smash
through it, and continue forward and down. Kill the two DWARVES, and go through
the archway into a room with GIANT CRABS, CRABS, MEAD, and LEG OF MEAT. Kill the
creatures, then go to the end of the room and approach the metal dome. The dome
opens and a DWARF MECH comes out. Select the DWARVEN WORK HAMMER and smash the
DWARF MECH, then eat to replenish your strength and exit through the door on the
left side of the room, triggering a cinematic of two DWARVES beating up some
GOBLINS.
Push the switch on the left and go through the door, and smash all of the
statues. Step on the two statue platforms to trigger cinematic of DWARVES rising
from the water. Kill these DWARVES and any GOBLINS, then select the ROMAN SWORD
and jump through the opening at the end of the room down to the ground. Kill
MEAN
PLANTS as needed, then smash the wall of the tower to your right, go through,
pick up the RUNE OF LESSER POWER, and smash the CRABS. Jump up to the next
ledge,
press the two switches, pick up any weapons or MEAD you need, and jump back
down.
Exit the tower, go to the switch on your right, and press it. Then kill the MEAN
PLANT behind the switch. Jump onto the pile of rocks behind the mean plant, and
from that jump up onto the platform with another switch. Kill any GOBLINS, then
press the switch and jump onto the elevator. Ride the elevator up, killing any
DWARVES.
Jump from the elevator to the platform above, triggering an earthquake and
falling debris. Move forward and down the hall to your left. Press the switch at
the end of the hall to lower a platform and gong on your right, kill the DWARVES
that attack from behind, jump down to the ledge, and throw the RUSTY MACE at the
gong to cause a bridge to appear. Climb back up and go to the inside wall to
pick
up a LIZARD and any weapons you need. Go back to the switch, drop down to the
again, and cross the bridge to a room with a LEG OF MEAT and MEAD. Smash the
DEFENSE DRONES and GOBLINS, go down the hallway to your left, to the end, and
around, smashing DEFENSE DRONES and GOBLINS until you reach an opening on the
right.
Jump across to the ledge, go forward and to the left, smashing DEFENSE DRONES.
Take the hall to the left, around to the right, smashing more DEFENSE DRONES, to
a ledge in front of a big machine. Drop down and walk around the machine,
killing
all of the GOBLINS on the treadmills and killing the DWARF. When the machine
stops rotating, move to the rope at the center of the machine, climb the rope,
jump to the machine, climb the machine, jump to the ledge, and up to the ceiling
beams. Cross the ceiling beam, picking up the RUNE OF LESSER POWER, then jump to
the ledge ahead, and look to the opening on the right. Wait for the flames to
die
down, then jump to the opening and down into the pipe. Move to the right to
avoid
the flames, then turn right and continue to the end of the pipe, smashing
DEFENSE
DRONES and killing GOBLINS as needed.
Jump down and forward to the platform. Turn right, and jump from platform to
platform, killing GOBLINS as needed. Eventually you’ll come to a wide jump
slightly to the right, and you’ll be able to see a a larger platform with a
DWARF
on it. Do a Quick Save before attempting this jump. Then move to the extreme
right corner of the platform, and face the same corner of the opposite platform.
Back up a step, then run forward and jump toward the opposite corner. If timed
right, you’ll grab the ledge and climb up onto the platform. Now look to the
larger platform ahead and to the right. Only the parts of that platform that are
attached to pillars from the ceiling are stable; the others fall away if you
land
on them. Jump forward and to the right toward the pillar, then to the left
toward
successive pillars, killing GOBLINS as needed. Jump up into the pipe on your
left, go through, and jump down the smaller pipe to end the level.
Level 32: Dwarven Aqueducts at Fullangr
Summary: Nice Hammer!
Level Time: 8 minutes
Follow the pipe forward to its end. Jump down into the water and go right,
ignoring the DWARVES. Jump across the chasm, go forward and left, and jump up
into the pipe, killing any DWARVES that attack and smashing lots of DEFENSE
DRONES. Jump down the hole, turn left, follow the right wall, jump across the
chasm, run to the end of the tunnel, jump up into the pipe ahead, and go through
to the large room. Lots of DEFENSE DRONES will attack, but you will outrun most
of them. Smash any that follow you through the pipe. On the table at the end of
the pipe you’ll find MEAD and a LEG OF MEAT.
Go forward as far as you can, then turn right and begin moving forward. When you
encounter a DWARF, stay put. Kill all of the DWARVES that attack you; one of
them
will have a DWARVEN BATTLE HAMMER. Now, turn around and you should see a wall
with a torch on it. Move to the torch, then go left as far as you can, then
right
as far as you can, then left as far as you can, then left again. You should
reach
an opening out to a long pool of water. Kill any DWARVES, GOBLINS, and DEFENSE
DRONES that have followed you, then drink MEAD at the table, go through the
opening and kill the GIANT CRAB.
Turn right and go along the water to the end of the platform, then jump into the
water and swim across to the other side (watch out for the current!) Kill the
GIANT CRAB, then smash the wall and go through to trigger a cinematic of lots of
GOBLINS. Move ahead into the water and to the left, killing any GOBLINS and
GIANT
CRABS that attack. Jump into the deep water and swim around until you see an
opening above and to the right; swim into it and up and out of the water.
Move toward the statue, up the stairs, and through the door. Smash the low door
on your left, climb the stairs, and ring the gong to trigger GOBLINS to open the
large door outside. Go back down the steps, enter the room, and kill lots of
DWARVES. Cross to the other low door, go in, and press the switch to re-open the
door you entered through. Exit the room, go down the stairs, across the
courtyard, and through the large door to the area with blue energy beams.
Move forward and around the water-facing side of the left pillar. Smash the
three
supports as you go by. The pillar will fall into the water, smashing the machine
on the other side and electrifying the water. Then move to the center of the
platform and jump forward onto the raft to float across the water. From the
raft,
jump to the platform and move down the edge of the corridor to push the switch,
opening the steel door ahead. Walk forward along the sloped ledge to finish the
level.
Level 33: Water Reserves at Gloinn
Summary: I Call it a ... “LASER”
Level Time: 3 minutes
Continue forward and turn to the right, avoiding the electrified water. Take the
corridor on the left, again avoiding the water. Step forward onto the rafts to
float across, and cross platforms, until you see a square tunnel on your right.
Go to the tunnel, kill the GOBLINS, and move forward past the green mushrooms to
trigger a cinematic. Go forward and around, kill the CRABS, jump down into the
water, and wait for the DWARF MECHS to move into the water. Knock out the
supports of the laser, then get out of the water quickly on either side to avoid
getting shocked. Select the DWARVEN BATTLE HAMMER and kill any DWARVES and DWARF
MECHS that haven’t been electrocuted. Pull the switch to extend a bridge across
the water, cross the bridge, pull the other switch to extend another bridge.
Cross the bridge, kill the GOBLIN, and get as close as you can to the machine
that is throwing sparks into the water, then jump past it and out of the water
onto the platform behind it. Use the raft ahead, to move through the tunnel and
around to the right through the water to wooden dock. Turn left, follow the dock
to the end, turn right, follow the dock to the end, killing DWARVES as needed,
jump up to the rope, climb, and jump down to the hole in the wall. Go through
the
hole, turn left, and drop down to finish the level.
Level 34: Hlevangr Reservoir
Summary: Chandeliers Away!
Level Time: 4 minutes
Move down the passage into the room with three switches. Pull the first switch,
then the farthest switch, then the switch in the middle to fill the room with
water. Swim up through the hole in the ceiling, then climb out of the water and
move down the passage away from the switch and GOBLIN, smashing DEFENSE DRONES
as
needed. Select the DWARVEN BATTLE HAMMER, smash the floor at the end of the
hall,
drop down and smash the DWARF MECH. Go to the right into a room with three
switches. Press the center switch, go up the ramp, kill the GOBLINS, go through
the corridor and take a passage on the left leading to a chandelier. Jump up
onto
the chandelier, smash the rope, and ride the debris down triggering a cinematic.
Jump down into the water, smash the DWARF MECH and GOBLINS, then move to the end
of the hall near the fallen chandelier and smash through the debris on the left.
Climb up to a room with a gong and two switches. Kill the DWARVES, get the
DWARVEN BATTLE SHIELD, pull the switches, and jump into the water on the
waterfall side to end the level.
Level 35: Hornbori: Outside the Dwarven Forge Towers
Summary: Pipe Dreams
Level Time: 7 minutes
Swim around, avoiding the DANGLER FISH. Maneuver so that the fish crashes into
the dock, collapsing it. Climb up onto the broken dock, climb the rope, kill the
DWARF in the round building. Return toward the rope and jump up and across to
the
walkway. Smash the doorway and pull the switch, then move to the ledge on your
left and jump down close to the wall, onto the platform with the dwarf statue
(it’s a long way down, you’ll take some damage). Smash the DWARVES on the floor
below, eat the LIZARD to regain some strength. Go up the ramp, and climb the
ledges ahead to a smashable wall. Smash the wall, go past the statue and through
the trees, killing GOBLINS and DWARVES as needed. Follow the path ahead to a
door
on the right. Go through the door into a large hall with pillars, and walk
forward to a closed door. Press the switch on the right to open the door, go
through, and pull switch ahead to extend a bridge half-way across the chasm. Go
out to the middle of the bridge, and drop down to the right onto the outside of
the pipes. Move along the pipes until they cross another set of pipes; drop down
onto those, and follow them forward, around and across the chasm behind a big
funnel-shaped pipe. Jump up to the funnel, and drop into it to end the level.
Level 36: Solblindi: Dark Dwarf Citadel
Summary: Electro-Dwarf Surprise
Level Time: 10 minutes
Go forward and out of the pipe, avoiding the rotating blade. Kill DWARVES as
needed. After the elevator cinematic, push the switch at the elevator, ride the
elevator up, pull all the switches along the right wall, go forward to trigger
another cinematic, then climb down the ropes, kill all the DWARVES, and go
through the large door and ahead to the 2nd door. In a few seconds, the door
ahead will open and some DWARVES will prepare to attack you. Let Odin kill them,
then move out onto the balcony and listen to Odin’s lecture about ego-maniacal
dwarf lords while he rebuilds the wall in front of you.
Jump forward to the wall and climb platforms on the right to the other side,
then
go to the large canyon with the RUNE OF BLOODLUST and wait for the bridge to
drop. Cross the bridge, select the DWARVEN WORK HAMMER, kill the DWARVES and
DWARF MECH, and pull the switches on both sides of the big door to open it. Go
through the door, kill all of the DWARVES and GOBLINS, and go up the ramp. Press
the switch on the right to open the door ahead, kill the DWARF MECHS, and go
forward up the ram. Listen to lecture from the DWARF LORD, then enter his
chamber
when the door opens.
Run around dodging the DWARF LORD. Look for a blue energy field to appear on the
inside face of one of the pillars. Run into the field, to be teleported to the
balcony. Run around the balcony, dodging attacks and pressing any switches that
are up. Each time you press a switch, another pillar below will show a blue
energy field. Jump down and run into each new energy field, still dodging
attacks
and pressing switches, until the DWARF LORD overloads and explodes. Then jump
down from the balcony and run through the gold energy field to end the level.
Level 37: The Dwarven Outpost
Summary: The Last Wendol
Level Time: 5 minutes
Listen to cinematic speech from Odin, then turn around and take the passage to
the left. Kill the DWARF, then press the switch, ride down on the elevators
behind you and go right. Enter the tunnel on the right, and go forward past the
pond. Enter the cave on your left, kill the DWARVES and go into the room to the
left of the cauldron for a LEG OF MEAT and a RUNE OF LESSER POWER. Take the
stairs on the left up for more LEG OF MEAT and MEAD. Move forward, around into
the hallway, and down the ramp. Kill the DWARF, continue forward to the balcony,
get onto the moving platform, pull the switch, and ride to the other side. Kill
the DWARF and push the switch to open the big metal grate below.
Jump down and go through the grate, then across the boards through the passage
to
the left, up the hill, and down the other side where you beat up a WENDOL. Try
to
cross the bridge to trigger the cinematic of its destruction, then go down the
stairs behind the bridge entry and into a room, down more stairs, through, and
down a short flight of stairs to a dark tunnel. Walk the balance beam that runs
down the center of the tunnel (remember, down = bad) then up and around stairs
to
end up behind the bridge exit. Kill the DWARVES, move toward the catapult, kill
more DWARVES, then press the switch on the right of the door and enter to end
the
level.
Level 39: The Trickster’s Maze
Summary: Duh...It’s a Maze
Level Time: 5 minutes
Move forward through the passage, staying clear of the LOKI STATUES that attack
you. When you reach an area with multiple statues in one place, turn right,
select the DWARVEN BATTLE HAMMER, and press the switch on the left. Kill the
SARK
WARRIOR that attacks you, and take the DWARVEN BATTLE AXE. Go through the far
door to enter Loki’s maze, where you will be taunted a lot by Loki as you run
through tunnels.
Turn right to face the room with a blood spot and two skulls on the floor, but
don’t enter yet. Now, move through the blood spot room, the next room, and into
the next room where the floor will collapse dropping you into a room with a
blood
spot on the floor but no skulls. Behind you will be a drop down to lava. Turn
left to face a hallway ending in a metal grate, but don’t enter yet. Now, move
forward through rooms into the room with the metal grate. Turn right towards a
room with a corpse on the floor, and go in. You’ll be teleported to a part of
the
maze where the rooms are upside-down. Jump into the middle of the room, then
face
right and climb up and over through rooms until you reach a metal grate ahead.
Turn left, and climb up and over through rooms and into the gold portal. Now
you’re in a room with a dead dishonored ahead and to the left. Move to the
middle
of the room face right, and move to the next room. Face left, move to the next
room. Face right, and move through two rooms. Face right, and move into the next
room which will transport you to a part of the maze where the rooms are
sideways.
Move forward one room, down to the next room, forward one room, and down to the
next room again, then go through the gold portal to be transported to a hallway.
Turn around and enter room with a dead Viking on the floor ahead and to your
right. Go right, then left, then straight, then left to exit the maze and end
the
level.
Level 40: The Trickster’s Chamber
Summary: That Loki Is Such A Card
Level Time: 14 minutes
Watch the cinematic of Loki ranting, then head down the hallway and stairs to a
room with many doors. Press the switch on the left of the big door to open it.
In
the next room, ignore the DISHONORED. Go around to the right, into a room with
more doorways. Enter the second door on the left, smash the wall, and drop down
to a room with a very shiny floor. Follow the path to a room with more Loki
blood
flowing, select the DWARVEN BATTLE HAMMER, and kill the SARK DISHONORED that
attacks. Go through the exit at the end of the room, right, and left to a
debris-
filled room with LIZARDS and a DWARVEN WORK HAMMER. Smash the wooden support,
select the ROMAN SWORD, and climb up the support into the next room. Kill the
DISHONORED, and follow the passage to its end. Press the switch on the left,
then
walk onto the pressure plate on the right.
Return the way you came, back down through the hole in the floor, through the
room with the Loki blood, through the room with the shiny floor, up into the
room
where you smashed the wall, back into the DISHONORED room, and up the stairs. Go
through the doorway and down the stairs on the other side, into a room with a
pressure plate on the left and a switch on the right. Step on the pressure plate
to open the left door, go in, kill the SARK WARRIOR, and pull the switch. Exit
the room, to the room with the pressure plate and switch. Press the switch to
open the door ahead, then go through the passage. There will be stairs down
straight ahead, and a passage to the left; go left, and around, ignoring the
switches but killing all of the DISHONORED. Now if you like, you can wait for
the
DISHONORED below to walk onto the wooden squares, and use the switches to burn
them up, or you can ignore the switches. The passage will make a tee-junction;
you can go to the right and past another switch, or to the left and down the
stairs. Go down the stairs, step on the pressure plate to open the door, go
through, and kill any leftover DISHONORED. Then go through the corridor at the
other end of the room, past a RUNE OF HEALTH on the right, and step on the
pressure plate to open the door. Enter the large chamber with more Loki blood
flowing. Select the DWARVEN BATTLE AXE and move forward into the large chamber.
Kill the SARK WARRIOR, then kill each DISHONORED before it can jump into the
Loki
blood and become a SARK DISHONORED. The DISHONORED alternate approaching the
pool
of Loki blood from the left and right, so it’s easiest to stay near the wall and
run back and forth, chopping DISHONORED with the axe as they approach the pool.
Once you’ve killed enough DISHONORED, go through to the end of the room and
through to another chamber where you get to fight two SARK WARRIORS. When
they’re
dead, you trigger a cinematic and fight CONRACK. When you’re about to win, a
cinematic triggers and CONRACK falls into the Loki blood, emerging as SARK
CONRACK. He tells you his master plan and runs off leaving you alone in a room
with Loki and two more SARK WARRIORS. Kill them, eat the LIZARDS scattered
around
the chamber, then jump into the water to end the level.
Level 41: The Barren Canyons
Summary: Got Sark?
Level Time: 10 minutes
A cinematic rolls and you climb out of the water. Surprise! You’re Sark Ragnar
now, transformed by the blood of Loki! You can jump higher, hit harder, and you
have really cool glowing eyes. Loki tells you that Odin won’t have anything to
do
with you now that you’re “his”, and invites you to join him (too bad there’s no
way to do it...). Jump back into the water to max out your health; if that’s not
enough, jump up into the water in front of Loki. When you’re fully charged, jump
up to the ledge and out the passage that Sark Conrack took.
Go past the pool, up the stairs, through the hall, and jump across the broken
bridge (you’re super now, dude). Continue forward until you get outside and
trigger the cinematic of SARK CONRACK and friends smashing a wall. Continue down
the path, past the hanged people, and around the lake to a narrow dead end. Jump
up the ledges, first right, then left, then across. Follow the path down and to
the right to see some VIKINGS ambushing a SARK DISHONORED; kill the SARK
DISHONORED but don’t expect the VIKINGS to be your friend – you look like a bad
guy. Keep following the path to see two SARK DISHONORED chasing a VIKING; kill
them on the seashore.
Turn around and head up and, with the sea behind you, head up to the left and
between two pines until you see a LOKI BLOOD pool on the left.
Jump to the ledge above the pond to see SARK CONRACK doing more bad deeds.
Continue down the path, killing more SARK DISHONORED and SARK WARRIORS until you
enter a room with a chain hanging from the ceiling. Climb the chain up through
the hole in the ceiling, jump down, pick up the RUNE OF LESSER POWER, smash the
wood blocking your path, and move across the ledge without jumping down. Kill
any
SARK DISHONORED that jump up at you. Jump across to the ledge on your left, then
over and down. Follow the path between the trees, and jump down to end the
level.
Level 42: Embers of Hrafnborg
Summary: Well, OK, Maybe One More Platform Jump...
Level Time: 6 minutes
Pick up the RUNE OF LESSER POWER, then follow the path to see a ruined town and
watch one of the rune stones being smashed. Listen to more Loki raving. Take the
left fork to a pool of LOKI BLOOD. Kill lots of SARK DISHONORED and SARK
WARRIORS, then forward through an arch in a wall, and along the left wall and
around to the other side of the wall. Jump up to the ledge, then across and up.
Kill GOBLINS (leave the MINI-GOBLINS if you like), and continue. Cross hanging
bridge, kill SARK WARRIOR, and follow the path to a set of ropes.
Climb and jump from rope to rope to reach the other side. Jump to the upper
platform, backtrack to the right, and get a RUNE OF LESSER POWER. Jump to the
lower platform, smash the CRABS, and go down the ramp to a lava pit. Jump to the
small bit of land, then to the small ledge on the right side, and do a Quick
Save. Wait for the GOBLIN to throw a TORCH. Run and jump forward across the gap
to the continuation of the small ledge, across the ledge and jump up to the rock
platform ahead, right and around and up the ledges to a higher platform, and
jump
across to the rock ledge that the GOBLIN threw the TORCH from. Go in to the
doorway, turn right, and jump up to the ledge at the end of the passage, killing
SARK WARRIORS as needed. Go over the hill and drop down to end the level.
Level 43: Return to Wotankeld
Summary: Bad Guy Dies
Level Time: 13 minutes
Move forward and take the right fork of the path. Go up the slope on the right,
killing or dodging SARK WARRIORS and SARK DISHONORED as needed. Follow the ledge
around and out through the mineshaft to the sacred rune stone circle. Loki asks
you to join him again; SARK CONRACK blabs more of the plan.
Run up to the top of the hill where the rune stone is and select the DWARVEN
BATTLE HAMMER. Try to taunt and tempt Conrack’s guards to run up the hill after
you, and then smash them as they do. Kill all of the ELITE SARK WARRIORS and
then
kill SARK CONRACK.
Odin congratulates you and asks you to come live with the gods. Loki has a bad
day. Enter the portal in the rune stone to end the level.
Summary: Fight Ulf to Prove Your Manhood
Level Time: 5 minutes
Walk down the path to the right, across the bridge and past the man in the
garden. Turn left at the pine trees. Go into the house, ignore your dad, drink
mead on table, then leave the house and go up the hill to the left. Push the
gate
to open it, then go through and take the path left to the side door of the
longhouse. Enter the longhouse, go to the right alcove, and keep hitting USE
until you have all the weapons and a shield. Select the RUSTY MACE as your
weapon. Go to the center of the wall, nd hang out until the door opens. Enter
the
room with ULF. Watch the cinematic, then beat up ULF until he kneels down. Watch
the ending cinematic.
Level 2: The Ship’s Graveyard
Summary: Die (Not!), and Escape From a Sea Cave
Level Time: 3 minutes Watch the opening cinematic.
Swim up to the surface of the water, then level out your view and swim towards
the small tree to get out. Select the SHORT SWORD as your weapon, and kill
anything that disturbs you. Go right toward the bones, and get the RUSTY MACE
from the human skeleton. If you are injured, return to the tree and eat FRUIT.
Move to the water’s edge with the tree behind you. Jump into the water and swim
straight down to the sunken ship’s cabin. Swim in the door on the right of the
cabin, down through the hole in the floor, across the hull, then down and out
into free water. Continue under water to the other ship’s cabin, around to the
left, and into the hole on your right, then down and to the left. Swim through
the tunnel to the end of the level.
Level 3: The Underwater Ruins
Summary: A Big Fish Tries To Eat You, Plus (Yay!) Platform Jumping
Level Time: 6 minutes
Swim forward through the tunnel, surfacing in the air pocket and then diving to
continue through the tunnel. When you hit open water, swim to the right along
the
bottom, dodging the DANGLER FISH, and up and around the right side of the tower.
Surface and get onto the ledge, then use the RUSTY MACE to smash the wall to
make
a small hole and flood the tower. Jump back in, swim down and to the left to
find
an underwater tower entrance. Swim into the tower and up to the platform. Climb
out of the water, and use the RUSTY MACE to smash the wall ahead of you. Walk
through the hole in the wall, and jump up onto the sloped ledge to the right.
Walk to the top of the slope, then turn slightly left and jump up to the ledge.
Time for a little side trip to pick up a shield! Continue forward along the
wall,
jump up and over, across, up and over, down the last pillar. Turn around and get
the GOBLIN SHIELD leaning against the pillar. Turn to the right, jump in the
water, and swim down to the submerged tower entrance again, then up to the
platform inside. Get out of the water, go through the hole in the wall, and jump
back on the sloped ledge, go up, and jump back to the ledge above and to your
left.
Turn around, and jump onto the pillar facing the broken bridge coming from the
other tower. Jump down and across from the pillar to the broken bridge. Cross
the
bridge, and jump down onto the grate, breaking it. Swim down to the bottom,
watch
the DANGLER FISH break the wall grating. Turn right at the broken wall grating,
then swim down and across through two openings in the walls, and up into a tower
with grates at the top. Swim through the broken grate and get out of the water.
Walk across the grate room, into the room with torches. Cross that room to the
left into a hallway, and press the switch on your right to drop the floor. Jump
in, swim down to the bottom, turn right at the grate, through the arch, up and
through the hole in the wall to your left. Turn left, swim up, keep going up
through hole in ceiling and get out of the water and eat the lizard if you’re
hungry. Jump back in and swim down, but stop at the hole in the floor. Swim past
the grate on the floor, to your right and through a crack in the wall, then up
to
finish the level.
Level 4: Underwater Ruins at Sigmundr
Summary: Kill Stuff, Meet God, Have Shocking Experiences
Level Time: 6 minutes
Swim up, get out of the water, select your RUSTY MACE, and move to the archway.
Avoid the first batch of MEAN PLANTS and crabs by following the left wall of the
passage. Kill the crabs in the room with the white plant. Continue through to
the
drop-off. Jump up to the platform with the big column on the left, then go
around
the column to score a shield and sword. Then jump down and across the water to
the platform with MEAN PLANTS and crabs. Select the SHORT SWORD and kill
anything
that bothers you. To kill the MEAN PLANTS, slice them when their whip is
extended. Eat the lizard on the wall to your left if hungry. Jump up onto the
wall, and across to the platform with the white plant, to avoid the 2nd batch of
monsters. Continue around to your right past the white plant, jump between the
two MEAN PLANTS, and walk up to the ledge of the round platform with a MEAN
PLANT
in the center. Avoid or kill that plant, then face left and jump up to two more
MEAN PLANTS. Pass them, pass a white plant, go left, kill a MEAN PLANT, then
jump
down and to the right to a tower with a green floor and mushrooms. Jump up onto
the ledge, then onto the rope and climb up onto platform with 3 MEAN PLANTS.
Select the SHORT SWORD and get past the plants. Go to the wall, and smash it.
Enter the room, and strange music plays. Walk down to the structure in the
middle
of the room and climb onto its upper floor. Watch the cinematic of Odin. Then go
forward through the door he opens, jump down, and move along the wall to the
right to avoid the monsters. At the end of the path, jump down to the ledge with
the white plant. Follow the path as it spirals down and to the right. At the end
of the path, jump down and left to the rocks below. Now platform jump your way
across the rocks and around to the left. Avoid the water, or the jellyfish will
electrocute you. The final three jumps are from the tops of the stone pillars,
across toward the white plants and the opening in the wall; for these get a
running start. When you reach the hole in the wall, go forward, and jump down on
the left side to finish the level.
Level 5: Underworld Caverns at Skorir
Summary: More Spelunking
Level Time: 3 minutes
Jump down, stay to left, pass column, kill crabs, and use series of platforms to
descend safely into the water. Face dead-end cave at water surface. Swim down
through the passage, following the swarm of white lights. Veer to the left, swim
through blue water passage between columns, then down and up again to the right
through blue water passage. Surface at the small square platform before the
MAN-O-
WARS electrocute you, in a room with three waterfalls. Swim to the far platform,
stopping and getting out at the middle platform to avoid the man-o-war shocks.
Run and jump up to the platform with the white glowing plant. Select your SHORT
SWORD. Pass the plant and look down to the right where you should see a GOBLIN
fighting with a MEAN PLANT. Go down the corridor to the right, killing goblins,
crabs, and MEAN PLANTS as needed, and enter the room with three ropes hanging
from the ceiling. Use the ropes, jumping from rope to rope, to climb up to a
passage with a white glowing plant. Go through the passage, and follow the
narrow
rock bridge to the right, being careful not to fall, to the area with lots of
white glowing plants. Jump onto one of the white plants near a rope, and jump
from the plant onto the rope. Climb up the rope, and drop down from the rope to
the platform above. Turn around to face the ropes. Follow the wall around to the
left, to the area with one MEAN PLANT and one white glow plant. Jump down and
across to the platform. Follow the wall around to the left, past the white
glowing plants, until you see a passage up and to the left. Jump up to that
passage, go through the passage, and jump down to finish the level.
Level 6: Underworld River Caverns
Summary: Even More Spelunking
Level Time: 6 minutes
Kill the GOBLINS and CRAB that attack you immediately. Move forward through the
passage until you trigger the cinematic of the earthquake that takes out the
stone bridge. Go to the right and use the series of ledges below to descend to
the bottom. At the bottom, move quickly to the sealed end of the passage to
avoid
a falling boulder. Once the boulder falls, pass it on the left and jump up onto
it. From the top of the boulder, jump to the rope and climb up, then jump down
into the chamber. Cross the chamber, wait for the steam jets to stop, climb down
the ropes, jump off, get the HAND AXE from the fire, and go down into the dry
river bed. Position yourself so that the MEAN PLANT is behind you, and take the
passage to your right until you reach a cliff. At the cliff, go up and to the
left, stopping at the white glow plant and waiting for a boulder to destroy the
path ahead of you. Follow the wall on your left until you reach the spot where
two flowing rivers join. Walk up the left-hand river to avoid most of the MEAN
PLANTS. When the river ends, move to the right and jump up to an area with a
white glow plant and a MEAN PLANT, and three ropes to your left. Climb up the
ropes and jump between them, and jump down to the ledge where two GOBLINS have a
campfire. Kill goblins and eat lizards as needed. Follow the ledge past all the
green mushrooms, jump down, and follow the passage around to the left until you
reach the top of a waterfall. Jump into the pond at the top of the waterfall,
swim down, and swim along the left wall to avoid the DANGLER FISH. Resurface in
each air pocket, and continue following the left wall. After two air pockets,
there will be an underwater passage to the left. Swim through that passage,
around to the left, then up through the tunnel to end the level.
Level 7: Eitri Underworld Lair
Summary: Kill Lots of Crabs, Go To Hel For It
Level Time: 5 minutes
Swim up to the surface, get out of the water, and select the RUSTY MACE. Jump up
onto the ledge with the GIANT CRAB. Beat the crab until he dies – he’s
especially
vulnerable when he flips upside-down. Jump up to the next ledge, kill more GIANT
CRABS. Jump up to the ledge with the white glowing plant, and kill some CRABS.
Jump up to the ledge with a bunch of GIANT CRABS, and either kill them or just
jump over them and run around to the left where a GOBLIN with a torch will
attack
you. Kill him, then select the SHORT SWORD and cross the room with the pool of
water, killing MEAN PLANTS and goblins as needed. At the end of the room there
will be a passage on the left, with a stone pillar in the middle and some small
crabs to kill. Follow the passage to the end, deal with the MEAN PLANTS and kill
all the goblins, pick up the BONE CLUB if you kill a goblin that has one, and
jump up into the tunnel at the end. Go through the tunnel, dealing with the MEAN
PLANTS and goblins and avoiding the lava pool by following the wall to the
right.
When the passage slopes down, move over to the left wall, go down to the ledge
where some goblins are fighting a giant crab, deal with them as needed, then
follow the ledge to the right, dodging the fire geysers, and smash the wall at
the end several times to create an opening. Go through the opening and up, then
jump down the hole. Select SHORT SWORD. Turn to your right, you should see some
GOBLINS. Head towards them, dealing with MEAN PLANTS as needed, to reach a blue-
green passage on your right. Enter it, and jump up onto the ledge to your right.
Continue up and around to a pond with jellyfish. Cross the pond following the
left wall, then cross the second pond following the right wall. At the end of
the
2nd pond, jump in, swim down through the right-hand tunnel, and swim to the left
avoiding the DANGLER FISH, around, and up into a chamber. Get out of the water,
take the passage to your right, and enter a room with a bunch of GIANT CRABS and
CRABS. Run to the end of the room, and jump onto the crab in front of the ledge,
then from the crab onto the ledge and up to the area with three glowing plants.
Keep the wall on your right, and follow the ledge to the end, take the passage
on
your right, then jump down to end the level.
Level 8: Helgrind: A Gate of Hel
Summary: Kill Lots of Crabs, Go To Hel For It
Level Time: 7 minutes
Select the SHORT SWORD. Move forward, watch cinematic of Odin, get the RUNE OF
LESSER POWER on the left, forward to edge of drop. Move to left and drop down to
platform below, then jump down to next ledge. Move forward to trigger the cages
that rise and fall from the lava. Wait for the closest cage to go down, then as
it begins to rise jump onto it. Jump from it to the next cage, and from there to
the ledge with the crucifixes. Follow the ledge around to the left, then turn
and
face the second set of cages. At this point, a DISHONORED may attack you. The
only way to kill him is to burn him or to chop off his head – the jumping spin
attack is good for this. Jump across the 2nd set of cages to the platform on the
other side. Go forward and enter the chamber , climb up to where some BIG
GOBLINS
are hammering on the walls. Jump up, kill the goblins, and break through the
wall
at the end of the passage. Move left to the double doors with skulls on them. Go
through them when they open. Select BONE CLUB or RUSTY MACE, and kill all the
ARMORED CRABS. A wall ahead of you will lower, and a metal door will open.
Select
SHORT SWORD and go through the door. Move forward and onto ledge that runs along
the staircase; at the end of the ledge, knock down the metal grating. Jump down
into the room on the other side, kill any DISHONORED you need to, and pull the
switch to open the wrought iron door. Run up the steps and through the corridor
on the right, then jump to the ledge on the left and knock down the left panel
of
the door. Move along the ledge to the left and jump down to the balcony with two
switches. Ignore the switches, kill the Zombie, and follow the path around to
the
right where there is a rope. Climb up the rope and jump down into a room with
barrels. Smash the barrels, enter the room, and head up the ramp to the right to
get another RUNE OF LESSER POWER. Kill dishonored as needed. Go down ramp and
jump down hole in floor to get to a room with lots of weapons and two more RUNE
OF LESSER POWERS. Pick up any weapons you need. Climb the chain down to the room
with a grate over lava. Throw the switch to close the gates on the dishonored
spawners, then kill off any DISHONORED left in the room. The steel door will
open. Go up the stairs to a hallway with fire grates and spikes. Forward, pull
switch on left to open door on right. Go through the door, turn right, pull the
switch, go through the door that opens, to a room with two switches and a
dishonored. Kill the dishonored, pull both switches to open the gates to the
tram. Get into the tram, pull the switch, and ride the tram to the next level.
Level 9: Bridge Over Geirvimul
Summary: Hel Hath No Fury...
Level Time: 9 minutes
As soon as the tram cinematic ends, move Ragnar forward inside the tram to avoid
having him fall to his death in the lava. When the tram stops, go forward to the
door which opens automatically, and to the door at the end of the hallway which
also opens automatically. Go forward to view the statue of the goddess Hel and
get yelled at by her. Iron bars will open giving access to the staircases on the
left and right. Go to the left staircase, and jump up onto the ledge on the
right
side. Run down and around and back up the ledge on the other staircase to
trigger
all of the monsters. Then go back around and kill off the DISHONORED and ARMORED
GIANT CRABS. Crouch down and go into the two small compartments on the sides of
the hall to get a new SJIELD and a RUNE OF LESSER POWER. If you need food, there
are lizards on the platform with the statue of Hel. Standing in the room facing
the statue of Hel, take the stairs down to the left. There will be a door with a
metal grating behind it. Pick up the TORCH from the wall to open the grating,
and
then approach the door to open it. Go through the door, and through the hallway
to the right. Use the TORCH or BONE CLUB to burn up any bugs that attack you; if
torch goes out, re-light it at any firepot. Open the door at the end of the
hall,
go through, and move to the right wall. Pick up a METAL SHIELD from the wall.
Proceed ahead and around to the left into a hallway with a firepot. Throw the
switch at the end of the hall to open the door. Go through, and around to the
left. Torch the DISHONORED on the right fast, before he has a chance to throw
the
first switch and toast you with a flamethrower. Throw the 2nd switch to bring
down an elevator on your right. Throw the switch again to start the elevator
going up, and jump through the opening to the right onto the rising elevator.
Ride the elevator up to a room with caged GOBLINS. Go through the room, ignore
the first switch you see but throw the 2nd one to raise the grates. Go through
the door behind you by the sacks of flour. Deal with the DISHONORED on your
left,
then go out to the balcony and hit the gong to raise the metal bridge across
lava
below and to your right.
If you want two RUNE OF LESSER POWERS, jump onto the balcony ledge and walk to
the left, behind the gong. Jump to the rope. Go down over the lava and jump from
the rope to the ledge on your left. Follow the wall on your right to get the
RUNE
OF LESSER POWERS, then climb back up the rope to the gong balcony.
Return to the room with the caged goblins (use switch to open grate). Take the
elevator down, go to the end of the hall, and turn left. Cross the bridge, then
pull the switch to prevent DISHONORED from following you. Run out to another
balcony, and hit the gong. Get onto the long green roof to your right, face
left,
and jump down into the open grating on the balcony below. Ignore the switch, but
pass through the arch on your left and through the door to a room with barrels.
Smash the barrels on the right to get a RUNE OF LESSER POWER. Then pull the
switch to start the floor moving. Stay on the floor as it travels across the
lava, killing any DISHONORED that attack you, and avoiding the flame geysers,
until you reach the end of the level.
Level 10: Vargeisa: Fires of Hel
Summary: Feeling Hot, Hot Hot...
Level Time: 3 minutes
If you’re hungry, eat the lizards on the wall ahead and to your right. Then walk
ahead, turn left, fight DISHONORED, and pull switch to raise platform from
below.
Pull switch again, jump onto platform, and ride down to lava. Get on the walkway
and follow it to the rope. Climb up the rope to a high balcony with a switch.
Pull the switch to lower another platform to lava level. Climb back down the
rope
to the walkway, and follow the walkway across the platform that lowered,
avoiding
flame geysers. Kill DISHONORED, ring gong to lower another platform, walk across
that to the far walkway, again killing DISHONORED and avoiding fire geysers. Go
into the cave, follow wall up to right, and at the top go through the arch and
move right immediately to avoid the falling rocks. Face the broken fence and
jump
down and forward to the platform below. Move forward and through the arch on
your
left. Kill the DISHONORED to trigger an earthquake / avalanche and start the
lava
rising. Climb the series of ledges ahead and to the left, then turn around and
jump up onto the ledge with the GOBLIN. Move away from the edge of the ledge,
kill the goblin to get the GOBLIN AXE, then jump down to the platform on your
left, up onto the rock, running jump to the platform on your left. Ignore the
dishonored there, go to the two rock pillars and climb on top of them and jump
across to the ledge with the rope. Climb the rope and keep going up to get to
the
end of the level.
Level 11: Eliudnir: Hel’s Chamber
Summary: Pull Switches and Jump On Stuff
Level Time: 12 minutes
Select your GOBLIN AXE and kill the DISHONORED and ARMORED CRABS. Go to the end
of the hall, pull the switch to open door on your left. Kill the the DISHONORED,
get the SHIELD from the wall on your right, smash the barrels and the wall on
your left. Exit through the hole in the wall to the ledge, and follow it around
to the right; re-enter through hole in wall to see passages to right and left.
Take the passage to the left, deal with the DISHONORED, pull switch, enter room,
kill DISHONORED and GOBLIN, go forward and down, pull switch, turn around, go up
and exit through the door on your left. Run all the way through the hallway and
around, dealing with DISHONORED as needed, until you reach a chain rope going
down. Kill the GOBLINS there, then climb down the chain and jump onto the round
pressure plate in the floor. Deal with any GOBLINS and DISHONORED, then stand
with the iron bars behind you, go through the door in front of you, kill the
DISHONORED, and pull the switch to activate rotating wall panels in the previous
room. Jump on the barrels and climb the ledges to get a RUNE OF BLOODLUST and a
RUNE OF LESSER POWER. Return to the previous room, deal with the DISHONORED, go
through the rotating panel to the right of the iron bars and pull the switch to
open the iron bars. Go back into the room and through the rotating panel
diagonally across to get a RUNE OF LESSER POWER, a WOODEN SHIELD, a GOBLIN AXE,
and a LIZARD. Go back into the room, and exit through the opening where the iron
bars were. Follow the corridor up and around to the lava pit.
Jump up to the ledge on the right, then across and to the chain rope. Climb up
the rope, and jump down and right to a ledge with a switch and lots of LIZARDS.
Pull the switch, then turn around, jump back onto the rope, climb up, and jump
down to the ledge on your left. Enter the room with blue wall panels. The wall
panels will explode, and DISHONORED will come out. Behind the center panel is a
RUNE OF BLOODLUST. Deal with the DISHONORED, then go to the far alcove and walk
through the wall with the picture of Hel on it. The floor will drop you down
into
a room with lots of small CRABS. Go to the end of the room and through the hole
in the right wall, pull the switch to lower the portrait in the crab room, deal
with the crabs, and go back through the hole in the wall and to your right. Ride
the platform up to Hel’s chamber.
Select the SHORT SWORD and move forward to trigger the cinematic of Hel yelling
at you. Watch the cinematic, then Hel will start throwing yellow magic at you
and
DISHONORED will attack. Run forward up the stairs to the right, through the door
into a room with LIZARDS on the left, through the door on the right to a hallway
with a DISHONORED and a switch. Kill the dishonored, pull the switch, and run
quickly to the ledge where the metal grating is broken. Jump onto the ledge and
onto the elevator platform that the switch lowered (this is tricky – there is
barely enough time). Ride the platform up. Face so that the RUNE OF LESSER
POWERS
are on your right. Go forward to the end of the platform and jump down to the
balcony. Kill the DISHONORED and pull the switch. Go through the door on the
left
as you face out the balcony, then left and through another door to a ramp
leading
up. Run to the top of the ramp and pull the switch on your right to turn off the
flamethrowers. Deal with the DISHONORED. Continue left, and enter a junction
with
flamethrowers ahead of you. Pull the switch behind you and to your right to open
the grate on the right corridor. Go down the right corridor, jumping over the
sweeping blade traps in the floor, and enter a junction with one switch ahead
and
to your left. Kill GOBLIN. Pull the switch to open the grate at the end of the
hall on your left, wait for the flamethrowers to die down, and run through the
hall to the other side to a junction with two switches. Ignore the switches; go
right and around to the start of a corridor with pressure plate floor traps. Run
down the corridor, jumping over the pressure plates, kill all the GOBLINS, and
pick up any SHIELDS, AXES, or other items you need.
Pull the switch, jump on the grate, and ride up, then jump down, to get the RUNE
OF LESSER POWER by the statue of Hel. Then jump down to the floor and through
the
opening where the grate was, onto the slightly raised area to avoid taking
damage. Approach the blue wall panels to release DISHONORED. Go into the alcove
on the right and step on the pressure plate to lower the right wall, Go through
the lowered wall, and up and around the staircase on your right. At the top of
the stairs, eat LIZARDS as needed. Then enter the room, and go through the door
on the right. You will be sealed in with some DISHONORED. Run through the center
of the room toward the two steps and closed grate to trigger a cage that falls
from the ceiling. Go up on the steps, turn around, and jump onto the cage while
it is still on the ground (this is tricky – there is barely enough time). When
the cage goes up, jump onto the balcony and kill the GOBLINS.
Ignore the lower switch, but pull the upper switch to open the grate at the top
of the stairs in the room below. To the right will be an opening into a passage
with two RUNE OF LESSER POWERS, many LIZARDS, a WOODEN SHIELD, and a HAND AXE if
you need them. Jump down into the room with the falling cage, run up the steps
into a long hallway, and go to the end of the hallway ignoring side passages and
ignoring or killing DISHONORED as you go. Pull the switch at the end of the
hall,
turn around and take the 2nd passage on the right to cross the bridge. At the
other end of the bridge, go through the door, turn right, and go to the end of
the hallway, again ignoring side passages and ignoring or killing DISHONORED.
Pull the switch at the end of the hall to open the doors below. Turn around, and
take the 2nd passage on the left to get tothe bridge again. Jump down from the
bridge to the room where you started the level. Deal with the two GIANT ARMORED
CRABS. Then run down the stairs under the statue and through the door. Go around
to the right, dodging DISHONORED and flamethrowers, and up the ramp on your
right
to the tram. Pull the switch, and ride the tram to the end of the level.
Level 12: The Fires of Sultr
Summary: Take a Dip in the Lava
Level Time: 2 minutes
Wait for the cinematic to finish. As soon as it finishes, and the camera angle
changes, move Ragnar forward slightly to keep him from falling into the lava
(bug). When the tram stops, go forward through the metal doors to trigger the
cinematic of Hel yelling at you again. Then platform jump your way down to the
grating in the floor. One of the walls will explode. Go through the passage and
down the stairs. Smash the door and enter the large chamber where you can kill
lots of DISHONORED and GOBLINS. Go right and ahead to a carved wall with a wall
torch on each side. Smash the wall, enter and go down the passage to where it
forks. Go right, to the lava pit. Jump down and right to the platform, eat
LIZARDS if you need them, then go forward and left through the lava to the
center
of the platform (this will hurt). Get out there, watch the cinematic, and go
left
and over the rocks, then back out and right and up, to get LIZARDS to restore
your health and a RUNE OF LESSER POWER. Return to where you exited the lava, and
go up to the platform with several DISHONORED. Walk into the center of the metal
platform, pick up the ROMAN SWORD, and kill all the DISHONORED with it. Walk to
the left and jump down to the platform, enter the tunnel on your right, climb up
and over, smash through the floor, and jump down through the hole to end the
level.
Level 13: Hyrokkin: Realm of Hungr
Summary: Flame Geysers, Ghost Ships, and Spinning Blades
Level Time: 9 minutes
Move forward, ignoring Hel as she whines at you. Turn left, then right to reach
a
metal door. Open the door, go down the stairs to the room, and get the TORCH.
Follow the wall around to your right. At the first metal door on your right,
kill
a DISHONORED and a GOBLIN, then leave and go through the metal door across from
you. Kill the DISHONORED; continue through killing more DISHONORED, into another
room. Go through that room and up. Ignore the metal door, go to the room with
the
switch, and pull the switch to open half of the metal grate. Return to the
previous room and exit through the metal door. Go to the metal door across from
you, kill the DISHONORED, and enter the room with the switch. Pull the switch
top
open the other half of the metal grate, then leave the room, out through the
metal door and to your left. Enter the passage on your left that was previously
sealed with the two metal grates. Go down the passage to the first open door on
your left. Follow the passage through, then turn right and follow that passage
to
a room with two switches. Go to the far wall and smash it, then jump down into a
large room with two firepots. Go to the door across the room. It will drop,
revealing a room with several doors, ropes, and lightning bolts.
Enter the room and move forward, then take the passage to the left. Several
DISHONORED will attack you, and there will be a RUNE OF BLOODLUST ahead. Deals
with the DISHONORED as needed, then enter the first door on the left. Get right
up against the right hand wall and let the blade sweep you to the back of the
room (if this doesn’t work, try jumping over the blade, or running behind it
just
as it passes – or select the HAND AXE and use its rune power to gain temporary
immunity to the blades). Eat the LEG OF MEAT, and pull the switch. If you want a
RUNE OF LESSER POWER, jump up to the platform on your right. Leave the room the
same way you got in.
Go straight ahead and to the right, to a door that opens to a room with multiple
spinning blades. Enter the room and follow the wall to the right. After the
blade
passes, move to the first corner on the right. Wait for the next blade to pass,
and move to the next corner. Wait for the two blades to pass at about the same
time, then go around the corner to the right and jump over the sneaky blade to
get to the switch. Push the switch, and then go back out along the same wall as
you entered, dodging and jumping over blades using the corners as safe areas.
Exit the room and deal with the new batch of DISHONORED that will attack you.
With the door behind you, move forward and left towards the lightning. You’ll
pass another RUNE OF BLOODLUST. There will be a door on the left, which opens to
a room with three spinning double-decker blades. There are also DISHONORED in
this room. Follow the wall to the right, dodging blades and using the
dishonored’s alcoves and other wall indentations as safe zones. Exit by
continuing around to the right. Mostly, the blades will take care of the
DISHONORED for you.
Exit the room and wait for explosion, then climb up the chains to your right.
Jump down to the platform and go through the hole in the wall. Move down the
hall
and watch the cinematic of your ghost ship as Hel whines some more. Follow the
wall around to the right, waiting for each batch of flamethrowers to die down
before continuing. Take the passage to your right, kill the DISHONORED, and eat
the DELICIOUS FRUIT (purple) for some unexpected health and rune power. Go back
out of the passage, and continue around to the right dodging flamethrowers. Go
up
the ramp, and follow the ledge halfway around to a hall with lots of flaming
DISHONORED and GOBLINS. Run out to the edge of the bridge to let them burn up
without hurting you. Then go down the hall and through the door on the right to
end the level.
Level 14: Nagrind: Stand of the Dishonored
Summary: Night of the Living Dead
Level Time: 8 minutes
Move forward, take the first left, then right, then left and follow the hall;
fend off the CRABS and DISHONORED that attack you, and jump down to room with
mirrored / marble floor. Run to your right across the pressure plate near the
wall. Then turn around and run back to the hallway ahead and to your left. Run
partway down the hallway to trigger an exploding wall that releases a
DISHONORED.
Then run out to the left side of the doorway in the round building in the middle
of the room, dodging the pressure plate. You want the DISHONORED to run across
the pressure plate, opening the door for a split second so you can run in.
NOTE: If you miss your chance, you need to run over to the first pressure plate
and step on it to raise up the 2nd one. Then you need to either maneuver the
dishonored to run across the 2nd plate when you are near the door, or kill that
dishonored and run down the hall to trigger the 2nd one. After you kill the 2nd
one, an infinite spawner will launch a new dishonored at the end of the hallway
each time you kill one. Keep trying it until you get through the doorway into
the
round building.
Once you’re in the round building, run across and jump down to the floor below.
Pull the switch to open the metal grates. Then go to the edge of the lava pit
and
jump on the round platform. It will carry you forward. If you want the RUNE OF
LESSER POWER on your left, aim towards the ledge when jumping onto the round
platform, and reverse to get back. Skid your way across the lava toward the dead
GOBLIN, get the GOBLIN SHIELD if you need it, and exit through the door on your
left. Move forward and to your right, smash the wall, and pull the switch. Then
climb the rope and jump down to the ledge. Run around the ledge, past the metal
grating, smash the wall, and pull the switch to start the lava rising. Turn to
your left, jump down and go forward into a room with two brown round slabs in
it.
Get onto the 2nd slab and ride it up as the lava rises, then jump to the
platform
and get on that slab to go up more. When the lava stops rising, jump to the
mirrored / marble ledge. Move forward into room; get goodies including ROMAN
SWORD, RUNE OF LESSER POWERS, LEG OF MEAT, and METAL SHIELD. Select ROMAN SWORD,
then go through arch into room with lava pool to trigger cinematic – another
lecture from Hel. Run through room, and down into room with big statue of Hel,
and forward to trigger 2nd cinematic. Now, you must kill a lot of DISHONORED (50
–
100) until the door at the end of the room lowers. Before running through the
door, do a Quick Save. Then run through the door, pull both switches, get into
the tram on your right, pull the switch, and ride to the next level.
NOTE: If you stay in the room and kill DISHONORED until no more appear, the
level
takes longer but you get to see something special before running through the
door.
NOTE: If the tram never finishes its journey to the next level, reload from the
Quick Save, kill more DISHONORED, and try again (bug).
Level 15: Helreginn: Machine of Hel
Summary: Can I Get Out of Hel, Already?
Level Time: 6 minutes
Get off the tram, move forward through the metal doors and turn right, then
through the door on the left. Go down the staircase on the right, forward and
smash out the wall to reveal lava. Jump to the ledge on the right, forward into
a
small room. Smash the barrels and the wall behind them, and jump up to the
protruding rock, then climb to the balcony to your right. Trigger the cinematic,
then kill the two DISHONORED and go behind the machine in the center and jump
down to another balcony. To your left and behind you is a breakable wall; jump
up
and smash it, then climb up and through the hole. Jump down, kill the
DISHONORED,
move forward into the room with the small statue. Throw the switch on your left,
and then kill the statue when it comes to life. Exit through door at the other
end of the room, go up the ramp to the right, kill the DISHONORED on your right,
then go to the switch at the left. Wait for the elevator to come down, then pull
the switch and jump on the elevator to ride up. Go out to the balcony ahead and
to the right, and press the switch to trigger the cinematic and engage the
machine. Kill the DISHONORED that attack you, and exit through the door to your
left (with the switch behind you) Go through the door at the end of the hall to
a
room with GOBLINS and a RUNE OF LESSER POWER. Return to the switch, and then
exit
through the door on your right. Stand in the center of the floor; the floor will
raise and then lower; there are LIZARDS at the top. When the floor lowers, go
through the grating that is already open, and down the hall. Take the first
right
turn, kill any DISHONORED there, and pull the switch on the right past the 2nd
set of pillars to lower the bridge into the machine. Pull the switch inside the
machine, and ride up to the next level.
Level 16: Skelkingr Caverns: Goblins’ Lair
Summary: Not Just for Goblins, Anymore...
Level Time: 4 minutes
Pull switch to open machine. Jump out, and listen to Odin while walking around
to
the rear and into the tunnel there. Keeping to the left to avoid traps, move
forward toward the water. Past the water, on the right, eat FRUIT if needed.
Follow the wall to the right, cross the chasm with water at the bottom, smash
through the wall at the end of the passage, and go right into the tunnel. Keep
left in the tunnel, ignoring the meat on a stick (trap), and enter the tunnel
with glowing white plants. At the end of that tunnel, go right and jump across
and down to the ledge. Face the rope and jump onto it. And climb up to the
green-
lighted passage. Go down the passage and right to get a RUNE OF LESSER POWER in
bones. Return to the center, and go out onto the stone protrusion. Jump across
and down to the ledge with GOBLINS, and take the passage to the left. Ignore the
sword stuck in the ground (trap), and jump up the ledges. Go left toward the
metal dome to trigger the cinematic of more DISHONORED from Hel. Kill some of
the
dishonored to trigger a 2nd cinematic, then let the GOBLINS kill the DISHONORED.
Enter the metal dome, get the RUNE OF LESSER POWER, and pull the switch to exit
the dome. Go past the dome and down the ramp to the right. Kill the GOBLIN, eat
LIZARDS if needed, and jump down through the hole to the next level.
Level 18: Lair of the Torfar-Kolla
Summary: Kill a Snow beast, Ride a Bug.
Level Time: 5 minutes
Watch the opening cinematic of the big hairy thing that wants to eat you, then
wait for it to break the net you are in. Run to the right and forward, then
left,
pick up the sword stuck in the ground, the turn around and run into the low
cave.
Run to the end, pick up the RUNE OF BLOODLUST, turn around, and kill the TORFAR-
KOLLA. Run through to the cave with the green mushrooms, and climb up on the
left
ledge to get a WOODEN SHIELD, HAND AXE, and WATERLOGGED SHIELD. Jump to rope on
your right, climb, and jump down to platform to get BONE CLUB. Return to floor,
go forward and crouch to get through low cave. Kill the CRABS, then go forward,
up, and out the passage to your left to find the TRIAL PIT MACE. Jump to the
ledge ahead and to your right, with barrels, up to next ledge, and ahead. Kill
the goblins and run and jump across to the platform, then knock down the stone
support. Some rocks and a cage fall, making a hole in the floor. Jump down to
floor, kill the GOBLINS and get a GOBLIN AXE and GOBLIN SHIELD, then go down
through hole in floor. Follow right wall, killing CRABS as needed. Along the
wall
you will find LIZARDS and FRUIT. Continue to end of room, up to ledge on left,
turn around, up to ledge on right, up to room with RUNE OF LESSER POWER. Turn
right and go to end of stone bridge to get another RUNE OF LESSER POWER and view
the hive. A bug will knock you off the bridge, then another bug will rescue you
and you ride to the end of the level.
Level 19: The Gates of Thorstadt: Hlora’s Pass
Summary: Brrrrr…It’s Cold Here
Level Time: 5 minutes
Pick up the torch on your right. Go forward and to your right through series of
dark caverns that eventually open up to a snowy path. Follow the path to your
right, jumping as needed, drop the torch, select TRIAL PIT MACE, and jump across
chasm to ledge and follow path around to your left. Enter the cavern and go
through until you see a ledge high on your right with a white glowing plant.
Jump
onto the ledge to your left, then from there to the ledge with the glowing
plant.
Jump up to your left, across chasm to new ledge, and forward into tunnel. Jump
down hole in floor and go forward to exit blocked by crossed timbers. Kill and
DARK VIKINGS that attack you. Go forward to the house, smash the door, and get
the WOODEN SHIELD, MEAD, and LEG OF MEAT if you need them. Go around behind the
house to the passage blocked by crossed timbers. Smash them, climb the ledges,
jump across to the ledge behind you, climb the ledge, and follow the path out to
the trees.
Kill the GOBLINS. Follow the path to the right, and jump the ledge to find
LIZARDS, a RUNE OF HEALTH, and a VIKING METAL SHIELD, then return across the
chasm. Jump down to your right toward the WENDOL, up to ledge on your left, and
across chasm; kill GOBLINS. Jump down and across next chasm to where the WENDOL
was (it is gone). Follow wall around to left, to a chamber with a fire and
grating; get the LEG OF MEAT and the ROMAN SWORD. Turn around, run up gently
sloped rock, climb ledge ahead and to your right, over the ridge, and up to the
left. If there is a WENDOL, wait for it to run off. Drop down to the snow and go
down to the right to where the DARK VIKINGS are fighting the WENDOL. Kill
everything. Head through the mineshaft on the left, turn left, and exit on your
right. Climb platform and stairs ahead to your left, get a cinematic lecture
from
Odin, then go to the front of the castle, around to the left, wait for the side
door on your right to open (you might have to hit it), enter, go to left, kill
the DARK VIKINGS, go to the left and up the rope, then up the ramp to your
right,
to the elevator on your left, and down to end the level.
Level 20: Mountain Fortress of Thorstadt
Summary: What a Quiet Little Village…
Level Time: 8 minutes
Watch the opening cinematic in which you mug a guard and get a change of clothes
–
whew! You smelled bad!
Go forward to the end of the courtyard, then left and out to your right. Move
toward the bridge, killing the DARK VIKINGS. Smash through the ice on the right
side of the bridge, and swim through for a TRIAL PIT MACE, to the other ice hole
for a RUNE OF LESSER POWER and a RUSTY MACE, then swim back to the bridge and
past the wheelbarrow to get some DELICIOUS FRUIT. Get on the bridge and face the
wheelbarrow. Get on the left ledge of the bridge, and jump up to the sloped roof
ahead, then jump to the opening over the door on the right, through and jump
down
into the room. Make a left; go up the stairs, right, and left. Smash through the
wood door on your left for some MEAD, then forward and smash the breakable
floor.
Drop down through the hole in the floor, go to the next hole in the floor, and
drop down into the sewers.
Turn around, go left, right, right again to passage with rope up. Kill the
GOBLIN, climb the rope, and jump from the rope to the room. Smash the door
ahead,
exit, and kill the DARK VIKINGS. Go forward to the end of the courtyard, left,
smash the door, enter room, climb rope, go past barrels, smash door, out and
left
to courtyard, and kill the DARK VIKING. There’s MEAD in the building on the
left.
Go forward along the street, then down the street to your left, past the
wheelbarrows, to find a ROMAN SWORD, METAL SHIELD, FRUIT, and LIZARD on the
right. Continue to the end of this street, turn right, and smash the door ahead
to trigger an axe-throwing cinematic. Exit and return to the street with
wheelbarrows, kill the DARK VIKINGS, pick up anything you need. Go forward to
the
intersection. On your left will be an open door; go in to get a THROWING AXE,
METAL SHIELD, and MEAD, then return to the intersection. Turn left, ignore the
DARK VIKINGS fighting with each other, and go up to entrance of building on your
right. Kill the DARK VIKING there, go in, and climb the rope to the platform
above. Do a Quick Save at this point. Now, go to the ledge with the stacked
boxes, and knock down the boxes to kill the DARK VIKINGS below. Jump down into
the courtyard and throw the switch on your left to open the door to the right of
the switch. Kill the DARK VIKING that comes through the door.
Turn around and move to the door ahead and to your left in the courtyard. If the
door is open, cool, go through the door and ignore this next part – otherwise,
you have run into a glitch in the version of this map included in the golden
master and 1st commercial edition of Rune. You have two choices to work around
the glicth: (1) download the latest official Rune patch (at this writing,
version
1.01) from any of the Rune fan sites, install it, and re-load your Quick Save
game; (2) use cheat codes to get through the door.
If you decide to use cheat codes to pass the door, press the tilde (~) key to
make a new window appear. Then type CheatPlease and press enter, then type Ghost
and press enter, then press tilde again. Ragnar should be swimming in mid-air.
Swim through the door, press tilde, type Walk, press tilde again, and move
toward
the door to trigger the DARK VIKINGS inside the building.
Once you’re through the door (whether you had to download, cheat, or just go
through it), kill the DARK VIKINGS that attack you. Pick up the VIKING AXE. Then
go forward, up the ramp, around to the left past the shields, smash the door on
the left side of the alcove ahead, go down the stairs, right, left, and
diagonally left out into the courtyard with the village rune stones. Kill any
GOBLINS and DARK VIKINGS; get the RUNE OF LESSER POWER on the platform. Follow
the wall around to the left until you near the other end of the courtyard. On
your right will be a monument with a statue and a switch; pull the switch, then
go around to the other side of the monument and pull the second switch to open
the doors in the alcove at the end of the courtyard. Go to your left and up the
platforms for another RUNE OF LESSER POWER. Kill any new GOBLINS and DARK
VIKINGS, then go through the right-hand door and down the corridor to reach a
sealed off passage. Smash the stones sealing the passage to end the level.
Level 21: Hergrimer Quarter: Streets of Thorstadt
Summary: Dangerous Burning Buildings
Level Time: 6 minutes
Move forward into dead-end courtyard, eating LIZARDS on the right walls if you
need them. Select HAND AXE. Throw axe at chain ahead, up, and to right to
collapse wooden platform. Pick up your HAND AXE, and platform jump up debris.
Move to end of corridor, smash door, go through, and kill any DARK VIKINGS and
BERSERKERS that attack. Go back through the smashed door, and into building
entrance ahead and to left for MEAD and a LEG OF MEAT. Smash the wooden support
to open the overhead doors. Climb boxes to upper floor for a RUNE OF BLOODLUST.
Move to other end of room, smash barrels, and jump down to street. Kill more
DARK
VIKINGS. Go right and jump down to a courtyard with a tunnel ahead and one
behind. At the end of the tunnel ahead, find a RUNE OF LESSER POWER. Then go
down
the other tunnel to a room with barrels, another RUNE OF LESSER POWER, and a
switch.
Press the switch to bring down the elevator. Then press the switch again and get
on elevator to ride up. Jump across to alleyway, forward and jump up to the
barred windows on your left for some LIZARDS and hit the bars to trigger the
cinematic of a bunch of DARK VIKINGS. Go to the end of the alley, turn right,
and
jump up into the window on your left. Smash the barrels there and jump down to
your right. Exit to the courtyard and kill the DARK VIKINGS and BERSERKERS,
opening a door ahead and to the right. Go through the door, turn left, and move
down the street to trigger cinematic of tower exploding.
Turn around and go through the narrow passage on your right. Enter room with
barrels and go left. Jump up to platform behind you, then onto box and up again.
Move forward and jump to the window across the street. Go in, turn around, and
go
out through the window on your right to a white platform. Jump across the street
again to the upper ledge (the one on the level that is burning). Turn right and
jump across to the square wooden platform. Don’t try to enter the tower.
Instead,
jump up and to the right to the top of the building at the end of the street,
and
down into the building. Fall through the grating and move toward the staircase
to
end the level.
Level 22: Grottintanna: Vessel of Blood
Summary: A Friend In Need...
Level Time: 5 minutes
Climb the stairs and enter a room with three pillars. Smash the wooden supports
of one of the pillars (don’t stand in front of the pillar), let the pillar fall
smashing the door open, kill the DARK VIKING, and exit through the smashed door.
Go past the barrels, through the corridor and to the right to a room with a RUNE
OF LESSER POWER and LIZARDS, then turn around and go down to the right to enter
a
room with a WENDOL chained on a pillar. Use the HAND AXE to break the chains,
freeing the WENDOL. As it runs away it will smash a wall. Follow through the
wall, kill the DARK VIKINGS, climb up to ledge on right for a RUNE OF LESSER
POWER, and exit through the door across the courtyard. Follow the passage up,
around, and out to the street where you will see two DARK VIKINGS fighting. Kill
them, then pick up the VIKING BROADSWORD and a METAL SHIELD if you need it.
Go left and to the end of the street to find another RUNE OF LESSER POWER. From
there, turn around, go left to the street, and smash the wall on your right to
enter a room with several sacks and a rope. Climb up the rope to the next level,
and smash the door ahead to enter a room with a table, MEAD, and a LEG OF MEAT.
Go past the table and smash out the wood to the left. Jump to the ledge across
the street. Follow the corridor around and enter a room with a grate on the
floor
and a rope. Climb up the rope to a room with a LIZARD and a broken chandelier.
Jump to the room across the street, go forward into the hanging chandelier, and
cut the chin to drop it onto the DARK VIKINGS below. Go forward and to the
right,
killing another DARK VIKING, to a room with a table, MEAD, and a LEG OF MEAT. On
the other side of the room is a switch.
Press the switch and run back into the main room and out onto the street through
the door on your right. Turn left and go through the arch at the end of the
street. Try to climb up the boxes on your right, knocking them over and
triggering the cinematic of the attacking WENDOL. Return to the street, kill the
DARK VIKINGS, and pick up the DARK SHIELD if you need it. Move forward to the
opening on the right created by the WENDOL, for a RUNE OF BLOODLUST. Then move
down the street and turn left. At the dead end, turn right and enter the room
with the wheelbarrow. Jump onto the wheelbarrow and up to the next floor. If you
need it, get a WOODEN SHIELD, DARK SHIELD, MEAD, or LEG OF MEAT. Go through the
window on the left to end the level.
Level 23: Motsognir: Fierce Resistance
Summary: Viking Carnage
Level Time: 11 minutes
Move forward through the archway and kill the DARK VIKING on the left. Go to the
left side of the room, press switch, get onto the elevator, smash barrels, and
ride down to a room with two RUNE OF LESSER POWERS, a WOODEN SHIELD, and MEAD.
Kill the BERSERKER, get what you need, push switch and jump onto elevator to
ride
back to the room above. Continue through the hole in the wall on your left and
drop down into the courtyard. Stuck in the wooden pillar are a VIKING AXE, a
TRIAL PIT MACE, a SHORT SWORD, a ROMAN SWORD, and two HAND AXES. Move forward
and
then right, kill more DARK VIKINGS, and press the switch to open the door in
front of you. Go through the open door into a room, and press the switch on your
left to raise the bars outside, then return to the courtyard and kill more DARK
VIKINGS. A Go into the room that has opened up on your left near the wooden
pillar, for MEAD and a LEG OF MEAT. At some point a cinematic will trigger, and
lots of DARK VIKINGS will attack you.; kill them. The wooden pillar will lower,
giving you access to a RUNE OF BLOODLUST. Get that and any weapons you need,
then
leave the courtyard through the door that has opened on the left side (across
from the room with food).
Smash through the barrels on your left, then jump across the pit ahead and to
the
left. From there jump across the pit to the right. Smash through the door on
your
right and enter a room with three chain ropes. Try to go through the door that
is
ajar, to trigger an attack by two BERSERKERS. Kill them, then put away all
weapons, get on the wheelbarrow and jump to the 1st rope. Jump between the ropes
to get to the ledge with a RUNE OF BLOODLUST, a RUNE OF LESSER POWER, and a DARK
SHIELD. Jump back down to the floor, turn around, and go forward and right to a
room with a LEG OF MEAT, MEAD, a WOODEN SHIELD, a HAND AXE, and two switches.
Press the switch on the right, return to the main room, and go through the door
that has opened on the left. Run around in this room, killing all the DARK
VIKINGS and BERSERKERS (ring the gong to make sure they all know you’re there).
When you have killed the last one, a cinematic will trigger opening a metal
grating on a room behind a statue. Go to that room and the statue will come to
life; kill it. Get any LEG OF MEAT and MEAD you need in the room, then climb the
rope up past the 2nd floor to the roof.
Kill the DARK VIKINGS on the roof, then smash the window ahead and to the left.
Enter through the window and drop down through hole in floor, smash through the
blocked off door, go through, jump to the ledge to enter a set of storage rooms.
Go left, right, and left to a room with GOBLINS; kill them. Then right,
straight,
and right to a room with more GOBLINS; kill them. Then right, straight, and
right
to a room with a large box. Climb onto the box and jump up into the room above
where some DARK VIKINGS and GOBLINS are fighting; kill them. Go to the right
side
of the room, push the switch, jump on the elevator, and ride it up to the next
level.
Level 24: Skeggjold Meeting Hall
Summary: Shhh...Be Vewy Kwiet
Level Time: 2 minutes
Watch the opening cinematic of the elevator ride. Move down the hall and jump
down to the stained glass floor. Part of the floor breaks when you land; jump
down through the hole onto a pillar and then to the ground; get the RUNE OF
LESSER POWER. Go through the open passage, and smash the wall at the end of the
passage. Move through the hole into a long, wide hall. Move forward through the
hall to the last vertical barrel standing by itself. Put away all weapons, jump
onto the barrel, face ahead and to the left, and jump up to the wooden platform
and from there to the balcony. Ready a weapon.
Go left and around on the balcony to the first door on the other side, smash the
door, enter the room, let the DARK VIKING run away, and pull the switch to open
the large metal door on your right.
Go through the door, which closes behind you, into a room with a tall obelisk.
Three DARK VIKINGS will ambush you; run to the obelisk and jump onto the fire
pot
to lower the obelisk, giving you access to the RUNE OF HEALTH. Kill the DARK
VIKINGS, go forward past the obelisk, and to the right; push the switch, turn
around, and exit the level through the door ahead and to the right
NOTE: If you smash this barrel by mistake, there’s another way up to the
balcony.
Smash doors in the hall and fight DARK VIKINGS until one knocks a pillar down
from the balcony. You can use the fallen pillar to jump to the wooden platform
and up to the balcony. There is a RUNE OF BLOODLUST at the end of the hall, on
the left, to help you fight the DARK VIKINGS.
Level 25: Haugspori Plain: Outer Temple Wall
Summary: Crucifixion? Good!
Level Time: 6 minutes
Watch the opening cinematic. Move to the right and jump up to get a RUNE OF
BLOODLUST. Then jump down to the floor and kill the DARK VIKINGS. Move toward
the
red and white stained glass window; a DARK VIKING on the other side will smash
it
and attack; kill him. Enter the room behind the broken window and pick up a RUNE
OF LESSER POWER on the right. If there are wooden supports beneath the elevator,
smash them. Push the switch to bring down the elevator, watch where the elevator
comes from. If it comes from the 2nd floor, jump on when it reaches your floor
and ride up to the roof. If it comes from the roof, wait for it to go back up
and
stop on the 2nd floor, then push the switch again and jump on to ride to the
roof.
At roof level, move forward through opening in wall onto near edge of roof. The
roof will explode. Jump down to the floor, smash through it, and jump down to
the
ground outside. Move forward and to the left, and press the switch. Move forward
to trigger the cinematic of the plain of crucified warriors. Go left and around
to building entrance. Smash door, go in and kill any DARK VIKINGS there.
Climbing
up the boxes to the ledge you will find MEAD and a RUNE OF LESSER POWER. Behind
the right-hand pile of boxes at ground level you will find an exit.
Go through the exit, down, forward, and jump back up into another room where you
will be attacked by lots of DARK VIKINGS. Climb up on the box, jump from there
to
the pillar, and from there up to the 2md floor. Press the switch you find there,
select the TRIAL PIT MACE, and go through the newly opened door (behind the
barrels). Go down, smash through the debris blocking the passage, and jump
through the hole in the rocks to the right. Go to the area where you see
statues.
Walk as far to the left and to the right as you can go, using the TRIAL PIT MACE
to smash every statue. Some of the statues may come to life and attack, in which
case, kill them. On the right-hand side, go outside the grate, along the ledge,
and into an open area to your right for MEAD, LEG OF MEAT, and a RUNE OF LESSER
POWER.
Return to the middle of the ledge and face the ramp leading down, with a pillar
of fire on each side. Go backwards down the ramp, jumping over a series of logs
that are rolled down the ramp after you (or you can avoid the logs by walking
down the ledge on either side of the ramp, jumping through the fire pillars). Go
left and around the building. Enter a passage on the right, pull the switch, and
go forward, and through the open door on the right to end the level.
Level 26: Loki Temple at Thorstadt
Summary: Sigurd Wises Up
Level Time: 6 minutes
Go down the hallway until you reach a dead-end. Jump onto the crate, up to the
next floor, and move to the end of the hallway triggering an earthquake and
cinematic. Turn right and smash through the wooden supports, then jump down. Go
through the left door, jump across the hole in the floor, move to the end of the
hall, go right, and press the switch on your right. Turn around, go left, left
again, and move to the fallen debris on your right, just before the hole you
jumped across. Jump up onto the ledge to your right, turn around, jump up onto
the beam, and across to the opening in the wall above a giant statue of Loki.
Jump down into the statue room, face the statue, and move to the top of the ramp
at the right. Jump across to the ledge on your right; go in, left, and through
to
the last opening on the left. Enter the opening and jump to the ledge. Walk
along
the planks, jump into the hole in the wall and watch the cinematic. Drop down
and
jump up to the ledge on the right, then move to the end of the passage to meet
with Sigurd. He dies and gives you SIGURD’S AXE. Smash the door on your right,
go
down the stairs, and follow the hall to a blue room with MEAD, a HAND AXE, a
GOBLIN AXE, a VIKING AXE, a WOODEN SHIELD, a SHORT SWORD, a ROMAN SWORD, and a
BROADSWORD. Enter the cavern, go up and right, and press the switch to open a
door at the end of the cavern. Follow the cavern, walking or crouching as
needed,
and go out on the stone bridge to get a RUNE OF HEALTH. Turn around, walk back
toward the cavern, go right, and ledge-jump down to a path. Follow the path to
the end of the level.
Level 27: Tyrdall Mountain Range: Wendol’s Lair
Summary: Kill Wendols and Dodge Rocks
Level Time: 7 minutes
Follow the cavern to a statue of a WENDOL. Watch the cinematic of ODIN, then go
right and around into a big cavern with a RUNE OF LESSER POWER, a VIKING AXE, a
METAL SHIELD, and LIZARDS. Turn around and kill the WENDOL that is attacking
you.
Leave the cavern and go right onto the ice through a mountain pass. The ice will
break, dropping you into the water. Swim forward and to the right to a hole in
the ice, and climb out of the water. Leave the frozen WENDOLS alone. Move
forward
past the left-hand wendol to a cliff, triggering an avalanche that will
un-freeze
the wendols. As they attack, jump from the cliff into the water. Swim underwater
in the direction of the lighted fish, forward, under the ice ledge, and up into
a
cavern where you climb out of the water.
Climb up the ledges, fighting off GOBLINS and eating FRUIT and picking up a RUNE
OF LESSER POWER, until you reach a ledge with a very bright light. Continue
across and jump down the other side for a LEG OF MEAT. Jump down again and move
forward and to the right. Kill the two WENDOLS and the DARK VIKING, continuing
to
move forward and to the right. Kill the GOBLIN at the base of the ledge, then
jump up, go up the slope, and down onto an ice field. Move forward, avoiding the
steam jets in the cracks and killing the GOBLINS that attack. Jump up to the ice
boulder on the right for LIZARDS, then across to the higher ice boulder for a
DARK SHIELD. Two WENDOLS attack from the passage ahead and to the right. Kill
them, then jump across to the passage and move toward the rock blocking your
progress to trigger another WENDOL attack. Kill the wendol, continue down the
passage until it opens up to the left. Go down and right, forward and kill the
GOBLINS, then down the slope to trigger an avalanche. Continue forward and down,
avoiding the falling rocks, until you reach a cavern with large and small
glowing
white plants. Go left and down to end the level.
Level 28: Tyrdall Mountain Range: Vindsvalr Ravines
Summary: Don’t Break the Ice.
Level Time: 13 minutes
Move forward and drop down, through the cavern and left to the rope bridge.
Cross
the bridge, and watch the DARK VIKING ahead of you jump into a gust of wind to
cross the chasm. Move to the point he jumped from, do a Quick Save, and listen
for the sound and flurry of snow indicating a new gust of wind. Look at the
platform across the chasm, and jump into the gust. Once you land on that
platform, go forward and left to another jumping point, wait for the gust, and
jump to the platform across the chasm and to your left. Walk across the rope
bridge to your right, up past the trees and up to the end of the ledge, face to
the left of the pine trees on the other side of the chasm, and jump into another
gust of wind to cross back to your left. Kill the GOBLIN, then go forward and
right into the cave on your left. Jump down to the right, and continue jumping
down until you reach a snowy path, killing GOBLINS as needed.
Follow the snow field down and to the left, through the pine trees, killing a
WENDOL. Continue down until you reach a snow wall. Climb over the wall and head
forward and to the right, killing more WENDOLS, until you see a cave entrance
above and to the right. Go up the ramp and through the cave, to another snow
field with two frozen wendol statues. Move forward past the trees, kill a group
of GOBLINS, climb up and over and slide down steep slope to the left, and drop
down into a pool of water.
Swim through the water just below the ice, and up through a hole to get out of
the water. Move forward along the long ledge, then into the cavern on the right
where you kill another WENDOL. Follow the cavern to the end, then climb up the
ledges to a room with a white glowing plant. Continue up to the right, forward,
kill the GOBLINS, and take the path to the right. Jump up into the ice cave
ahead, and through the cave, killing more GOBLINS, past a room with large and
small white glowing plants, to a ledge with two ice stalactites. Smash the
second
stalactite to make a hole in the ice below. Then head back the way you came,
looking for a platform below and to the right with a RUNE OF LESSER POWER and a
SHORT SWORD. Jump down to the platform, then down to the ice. Walk around to the
right to get to the hole in the ice made by the falling stalactite. Jump in, and
swim through the passage just below the ice, then up through a large hole and
get
out into the ice field.
Move forward slowly until you hear the ice crack. Now you need to cross the ice
field without falling in. If you do fall in, the current will carry you back to
the start of the ice field, and you start over. Here’s one way to cross it. If
you end up having to try several times, you may find another way across, which
is
fine too!
Crouch and move forward down the center of the ice field, slowly, until the ice
falls away in front of you. Move along the right edge of the hole in the ice, to
the right wall, and forward along the wall until another piece of ice falls away
on your left. Move along the left edge of the new hole, around and back to the
right wall on the other side. Still crouching, move slowly forward again pressed
up against the right wall until a piece of ice falls away ahead of you. When it
does, jump ahead and forward across the gap to avoid falling in. Then turn
around
again and jump over the hole along the right wall to the stone platform on the
right.
Crouch again and move forward along the right wall. Just past the edge of the
stone platform, another piece of ice will fall away ahead of you. Jump across
the
gap in the ice, staying along the right wall. Crouch down again and move along
the wall. Ice will fall away in front of you, leaving only a very narrow ledge
against the wall. Jump and move forward several times to edge across the ledge.
Another piece of ice will fall away in front of you; use same technique to stay
on the narrow ice ledge and jump forward and around to the right, where there is
another stone platform with a LEG OF MEAT. From that platform, turn left and use
a combination of running and jumping to cross the ice to a stone platform with
LIZARDS. Two more pieces of ice will fall away below you as you cross, but the
jumps will keep you from falling in.
Now crouch and move forward slowly along the left wall until a big piece of ice
falls away in front of you. Run and jump along the narrow ice ledge, still along
the left wall, and then crouch again and follow the left wall to a place where
the ice gets thicker. Run across the thicker ice to the rock wall ahead,
triggering a landslide that breaks away the thicker ice behind you. Then climb
up
on the boulder, and up into the passageway. Follow it to a room with a large
white glowing plant and through and down to an ice bridge. Cross the ice bridge
and fight the really big WENDOL, triggering an avalanche. Then return to the
bridge, which is now broken, and jump carefully down to the ledge below it. Turn
around and enter the ice cave, turn left at the white glowing plants and reach a
very, very high cliff. At Odin’s urging, jump off the cliff; enjoy the fall, and
when you reach the pool of water swim forward to the snowy slope with trees.
Climb out of the water, and watch the cinematic of Ragnar entering a shed to end
the level.
Level 29: Dwarven Mountain Retreat at Gustr
Summary: Tilt at Windmills
Level Time: 7 minutes
Watch the cinematic of two DWARVES moving toward your location, and Ragnar
changing into a dark Viking outfit. Pick up the RUNE OF LESSER POWER in the
shed,
kill DWARVES as needed, pick up a DWARVEN WOODEN SHIELD if you need it, and exit
the shed. Go right, through the water, and around past several steam vent stacks
to an archway with a grating at the end. To your right through the trees are a
DWARF and a switch. Kill the DWARF and get the DWARVEN WORK HAMMER, then push
the
switch and return to the snow in front of the arch. The snow will move down like
an elevator, taking you to a chamber below. Jump into the water toward the metal
grate, turn around, and wait for the platform to go back up. Move ahead and
right
to deeper water. Swim through the tunnel and get out of the water straight
ahead.
Pull the level, eat the LIZARD if needed, and re-enter the water. Swim down the
tunnel to your right, surface, and swim to the dock. Push the switch behind some
barrels on the dock to drop a plank, then walk up the plank and exit through the
door on the far right.
Kill the DWARF, go left and smash through the wall behind some barrels. Go
through, climb the stairs, and enter the first door on the left. Follow the
passage around to an opening on your left above some hammering dwarves. Drop
down, kill the DWARVES, and exit through the wide wooden door. A DWARF on the
other side rings a gong to summon more DWARVES. Kill them and go up the stairs.
More DWARVES ambush you cinematically in the room at the top of the stairs; get
the RUNE OF BLOODLUST, kill them and exit through the archway behind some
pillars. Go down the stairs, cross the rope bridge, enter the door ahead, go
left, jump down, kill more DWARVES, and press the switch to open the double
doors. Go through the door, down the ramp, jump into the water, and swim to the
big windmill. Get out of the water onto the platform on the left side of the
windmill, climb the ledges on the right, and jump onto the windmill. Move across
to the right, avoiding the rotating blades.
Kill the DWARF (if the blades don’t get him), pick up the DWARVEN WORK SWORD,
and
cross the bridge into the room on your right. Press the switch and watch the
cinematic of the iron door half-closing off the mountain pass. Go back across
the
windmill ledge, jump down, and go through the door on your right. Kill the
DWARF,
press the switch, and watch the cinematic sealing off the other half of the
mountain pass. Climb back up and across to the far end of the bridge, wait for
the windmill to slow down, turn and face the blades of the windmill, do a Quick
Save, then jump forward onto a blade as it comes up. As the blade rises, back up
to the very tip of the blade. When the blade nears the top of its swing, jump to
the roof of the windmill and do another Quick Save. Move toward the other end of
the roof, directly above where the windmill blade reaches the tip of its swing.
Wait for another blade on its way down, jump to the tip of it, and jump from the
tip of the blade to the hallway on the left of the windmill near the top. NOTE:
You might be able to get to the hallway without stopping at the roof, by moving
between blades, but stopping at the roof makes it a little easier. Move down the
hallway, go right, and right again to a big rotating machine. Get into one of
the
slots in the machine and follow it around to drop through a hole in the floor,
and then quickly move out of the way of the other rotating machines. Go down the
stairs, kill the DWARF, and break the machine there. Drop down through the hole
in the floor and into the water to finish the level.
Level 30: Reginn River Engines
Summary: Destroy a Big Machine
Level Time: 10 minutes
Swim to land, ring the gong, move right to pick up the RUNE OF LESSER POWER, and
go up into the cave on the right where GOBLINS are caged. Kill DWARVES, press
the
switch, kill GOBLINS, then go into the gear room on the left, and turn left.
Pass
the steam vents and press the switch, then exit the gear room, dive underwater
behind the gong, swim through the opening ahead, surface, and swim to the ledge
on the left before the MAN-O-WAR can shock you. Cross the ledge, jump back into
the water, and swim up to the giant gear. Climb onto the water wheel and ride it
around to the other side. Jump back in the water, and swim forward through
another opening, and get out of the water onto the platform to the left.
Climb to the top ledge, kill the GOBLIN and CRAB, and eat LIZARDS if needed. Go
behind the waterfall, and kill the DWARVES triggering a cinematic and more
DWARVES. Get the RUNE OF BLOOD LUST and kill them too as they come down the
elevator. Then press the switch next to the elevator, jump onto the elevator,
and
ride up. Go through the cave, kill CRABS, and jump to the metal bridge using the
ledge on the far side of the room. Cross the bridge and press the switch at the
end of the hall to open a door on the front of the machine below. Go back out to
the bridge, jump down, go through the door that just opened, and jump down into
the steam tunnels.
In the steam tunnels there are many small DEFENSE DRONES that throw rocks,
explode, and do other harmful things. Select the DWARVEN WORK HAMMER to smash
them with. There are also many steam jets that will burn you, and many LIZARDS
and RUNES OF BLOODLUST.
Move forward through the first tunnel, then turn left, and left again, to reach
a
switch that will turn off some of the steam jets. Press the switch, turn around,
and smash the DEFENSE DRONES. Go to the other end of the current tunnel, and
drop
down. Jump up, go forward through the lower tunnel, and jump down to the right
near the end of the tunnel, smashing DEFENSE DRONES as needed, to reach flowing
water. Go left, swim down through the underwater passage and surface in an area
with a large rotating water wheel. Swim to the right of the water wheel and exit
the water. Climb up, go right, and climb down the rope to a room with a switch.
Press the switch to stop the water wheel. Then climb back up the rope, out, into
the water, and over the stopped water wheel. Swim to the dock on the other side,
go past the gong, climb up the rope, press the switch, and jump back down to the
dock. Move to the right of the dock and jump up into the metal structure, then
quickly climb the ramp to avoid being smashed by a sliding trap door. Kill the
DWARVES in the room and the GOBLINS on the elevator, press the switch and go up
the elevator, then watch the cinematic of a big machine blowing up, move
forward,
kill the DWARVES, go through the hole on the far left, and forward past the
rubble to exit the level
Level 31: Dwarven Mountain Lair at Nordri
Summary: Destroy Machinery and Platform Jump
Level Time: 18 minutes
Go toward the far end of the hall and walk over the recessed design on the left
between two doors. The doors will open and several GOBLINS will attack from
behind. Kill the GOBLINS, go through the doors and get the two RUNE OF LESSER
POWERS and MEAD. Continue to the end of the hall, through the door ahead on the
left side, and out to the balcony and gong. Kill GOBLIN, ring the gong, wait for
the bridge to come across, then run forward and jump onto the end of the bridge.
Cross, go left and into the chute with a rope hanging down from it. Climb the
rope, jump to the second rope, climb again, and jump to the floor ahead. Move
forward, kill GOBLIN, enter passage on right and move forward to ledge on right
with two switches. Press the switches to release the GOBLINS below; they will
attack the DWARVES below. When they’ve killed each other jump down and finish
off
what’s left, then enter the open door beneath the ledge you jumped from into a
room with MEAD. Kill the DWARF, press the switch on the left to open the door at
the far end of the room, and re-enter the room.
Go to the far end of the room, get the RUNE OF BLOODLUST, and go through the
open
door. Some debris will fall on your left, blocking the passage. Ignore this and
move straight ahead, smash the wooden barriers, and crouch into the alcove to
get
the RUNE OF LESSER POWER. Then go to the debris that fell when you entered,
smash
through it, and continue forward and down. Kill the two DWARVES, and go through
the archway into a room with GIANT CRABS, CRABS, MEAD, and LEG OF MEAT. Kill the
creatures, then go to the end of the room and approach the metal dome. The dome
opens and a DWARF MECH comes out. Select the DWARVEN WORK HAMMER and smash the
DWARF MECH, then eat to replenish your strength and exit through the door on the
left side of the room, triggering a cinematic of two DWARVES beating up some
GOBLINS.
Push the switch on the left and go through the door, and smash all of the
statues. Step on the two statue platforms to trigger cinematic of DWARVES rising
from the water. Kill these DWARVES and any GOBLINS, then select the ROMAN SWORD
and jump through the opening at the end of the room down to the ground. Kill
MEAN
PLANTS as needed, then smash the wall of the tower to your right, go through,
pick up the RUNE OF LESSER POWER, and smash the CRABS. Jump up to the next
ledge,
press the two switches, pick up any weapons or MEAD you need, and jump back
down.
Exit the tower, go to the switch on your right, and press it. Then kill the MEAN
PLANT behind the switch. Jump onto the pile of rocks behind the mean plant, and
from that jump up onto the platform with another switch. Kill any GOBLINS, then
press the switch and jump onto the elevator. Ride the elevator up, killing any
DWARVES.
Jump from the elevator to the platform above, triggering an earthquake and
falling debris. Move forward and down the hall to your left. Press the switch at
the end of the hall to lower a platform and gong on your right, kill the DWARVES
that attack from behind, jump down to the ledge, and throw the RUSTY MACE at the
gong to cause a bridge to appear. Climb back up and go to the inside wall to
pick
up a LIZARD and any weapons you need. Go back to the switch, drop down to the
again, and cross the bridge to a room with a LEG OF MEAT and MEAD. Smash the
DEFENSE DRONES and GOBLINS, go down the hallway to your left, to the end, and
around, smashing DEFENSE DRONES and GOBLINS until you reach an opening on the
right.
Jump across to the ledge, go forward and to the left, smashing DEFENSE DRONES.
Take the hall to the left, around to the right, smashing more DEFENSE DRONES, to
a ledge in front of a big machine. Drop down and walk around the machine,
killing
all of the GOBLINS on the treadmills and killing the DWARF. When the machine
stops rotating, move to the rope at the center of the machine, climb the rope,
jump to the machine, climb the machine, jump to the ledge, and up to the ceiling
beams. Cross the ceiling beam, picking up the RUNE OF LESSER POWER, then jump to
the ledge ahead, and look to the opening on the right. Wait for the flames to
die
down, then jump to the opening and down into the pipe. Move to the right to
avoid
the flames, then turn right and continue to the end of the pipe, smashing
DEFENSE
DRONES and killing GOBLINS as needed.
Jump down and forward to the platform. Turn right, and jump from platform to
platform, killing GOBLINS as needed. Eventually you’ll come to a wide jump
slightly to the right, and you’ll be able to see a a larger platform with a
DWARF
on it. Do a Quick Save before attempting this jump. Then move to the extreme
right corner of the platform, and face the same corner of the opposite platform.
Back up a step, then run forward and jump toward the opposite corner. If timed
right, you’ll grab the ledge and climb up onto the platform. Now look to the
larger platform ahead and to the right. Only the parts of that platform that are
attached to pillars from the ceiling are stable; the others fall away if you
land
on them. Jump forward and to the right toward the pillar, then to the left
toward
successive pillars, killing GOBLINS as needed. Jump up into the pipe on your
left, go through, and jump down the smaller pipe to end the level.
Level 32: Dwarven Aqueducts at Fullangr
Summary: Nice Hammer!
Level Time: 8 minutes
Follow the pipe forward to its end. Jump down into the water and go right,
ignoring the DWARVES. Jump across the chasm, go forward and left, and jump up
into the pipe, killing any DWARVES that attack and smashing lots of DEFENSE
DRONES. Jump down the hole, turn left, follow the right wall, jump across the
chasm, run to the end of the tunnel, jump up into the pipe ahead, and go through
to the large room. Lots of DEFENSE DRONES will attack, but you will outrun most
of them. Smash any that follow you through the pipe. On the table at the end of
the pipe you’ll find MEAD and a LEG OF MEAT.
Go forward as far as you can, then turn right and begin moving forward. When you
encounter a DWARF, stay put. Kill all of the DWARVES that attack you; one of
them
will have a DWARVEN BATTLE HAMMER. Now, turn around and you should see a wall
with a torch on it. Move to the torch, then go left as far as you can, then
right
as far as you can, then left as far as you can, then left again. You should
reach
an opening out to a long pool of water. Kill any DWARVES, GOBLINS, and DEFENSE
DRONES that have followed you, then drink MEAD at the table, go through the
opening and kill the GIANT CRAB.
Turn right and go along the water to the end of the platform, then jump into the
water and swim across to the other side (watch out for the current!) Kill the
GIANT CRAB, then smash the wall and go through to trigger a cinematic of lots of
GOBLINS. Move ahead into the water and to the left, killing any GOBLINS and
GIANT
CRABS that attack. Jump into the deep water and swim around until you see an
opening above and to the right; swim into it and up and out of the water.
Move toward the statue, up the stairs, and through the door. Smash the low door
on your left, climb the stairs, and ring the gong to trigger GOBLINS to open the
large door outside. Go back down the steps, enter the room, and kill lots of
DWARVES. Cross to the other low door, go in, and press the switch to re-open the
door you entered through. Exit the room, go down the stairs, across the
courtyard, and through the large door to the area with blue energy beams.
Move forward and around the water-facing side of the left pillar. Smash the
three
supports as you go by. The pillar will fall into the water, smashing the machine
on the other side and electrifying the water. Then move to the center of the
platform and jump forward onto the raft to float across the water. From the
raft,
jump to the platform and move down the edge of the corridor to push the switch,
opening the steel door ahead. Walk forward along the sloped ledge to finish the
level.
Level 33: Water Reserves at Gloinn
Summary: I Call it a ... “LASER”
Level Time: 3 minutes
Continue forward and turn to the right, avoiding the electrified water. Take the
corridor on the left, again avoiding the water. Step forward onto the rafts to
float across, and cross platforms, until you see a square tunnel on your right.
Go to the tunnel, kill the GOBLINS, and move forward past the green mushrooms to
trigger a cinematic. Go forward and around, kill the CRABS, jump down into the
water, and wait for the DWARF MECHS to move into the water. Knock out the
supports of the laser, then get out of the water quickly on either side to avoid
getting shocked. Select the DWARVEN BATTLE HAMMER and kill any DWARVES and DWARF
MECHS that haven’t been electrocuted. Pull the switch to extend a bridge across
the water, cross the bridge, pull the other switch to extend another bridge.
Cross the bridge, kill the GOBLIN, and get as close as you can to the machine
that is throwing sparks into the water, then jump past it and out of the water
onto the platform behind it. Use the raft ahead, to move through the tunnel and
around to the right through the water to wooden dock. Turn left, follow the dock
to the end, turn right, follow the dock to the end, killing DWARVES as needed,
jump up to the rope, climb, and jump down to the hole in the wall. Go through
the
hole, turn left, and drop down to finish the level.
Level 34: Hlevangr Reservoir
Summary: Chandeliers Away!
Level Time: 4 minutes
Move down the passage into the room with three switches. Pull the first switch,
then the farthest switch, then the switch in the middle to fill the room with
water. Swim up through the hole in the ceiling, then climb out of the water and
move down the passage away from the switch and GOBLIN, smashing DEFENSE DRONES
as
needed. Select the DWARVEN BATTLE HAMMER, smash the floor at the end of the
hall,
drop down and smash the DWARF MECH. Go to the right into a room with three
switches. Press the center switch, go up the ramp, kill the GOBLINS, go through
the corridor and take a passage on the left leading to a chandelier. Jump up
onto
the chandelier, smash the rope, and ride the debris down triggering a cinematic.
Jump down into the water, smash the DWARF MECH and GOBLINS, then move to the end
of the hall near the fallen chandelier and smash through the debris on the left.
Climb up to a room with a gong and two switches. Kill the DWARVES, get the
DWARVEN BATTLE SHIELD, pull the switches, and jump into the water on the
waterfall side to end the level.
Level 35: Hornbori: Outside the Dwarven Forge Towers
Summary: Pipe Dreams
Level Time: 7 minutes
Swim around, avoiding the DANGLER FISH. Maneuver so that the fish crashes into
the dock, collapsing it. Climb up onto the broken dock, climb the rope, kill the
DWARF in the round building. Return toward the rope and jump up and across to
the
walkway. Smash the doorway and pull the switch, then move to the ledge on your
left and jump down close to the wall, onto the platform with the dwarf statue
(it’s a long way down, you’ll take some damage). Smash the DWARVES on the floor
below, eat the LIZARD to regain some strength. Go up the ramp, and climb the
ledges ahead to a smashable wall. Smash the wall, go past the statue and through
the trees, killing GOBLINS and DWARVES as needed. Follow the path ahead to a
door
on the right. Go through the door into a large hall with pillars, and walk
forward to a closed door. Press the switch on the right to open the door, go
through, and pull switch ahead to extend a bridge half-way across the chasm. Go
out to the middle of the bridge, and drop down to the right onto the outside of
the pipes. Move along the pipes until they cross another set of pipes; drop down
onto those, and follow them forward, around and across the chasm behind a big
funnel-shaped pipe. Jump up to the funnel, and drop into it to end the level.
Level 36: Solblindi: Dark Dwarf Citadel
Summary: Electro-Dwarf Surprise
Level Time: 10 minutes
Go forward and out of the pipe, avoiding the rotating blade. Kill DWARVES as
needed. After the elevator cinematic, push the switch at the elevator, ride the
elevator up, pull all the switches along the right wall, go forward to trigger
another cinematic, then climb down the ropes, kill all the DWARVES, and go
through the large door and ahead to the 2nd door. In a few seconds, the door
ahead will open and some DWARVES will prepare to attack you. Let Odin kill them,
then move out onto the balcony and listen to Odin’s lecture about ego-maniacal
dwarf lords while he rebuilds the wall in front of you.
Jump forward to the wall and climb platforms on the right to the other side,
then
go to the large canyon with the RUNE OF BLOODLUST and wait for the bridge to
drop. Cross the bridge, select the DWARVEN WORK HAMMER, kill the DWARVES and
DWARF MECH, and pull the switches on both sides of the big door to open it. Go
through the door, kill all of the DWARVES and GOBLINS, and go up the ramp. Press
the switch on the right to open the door ahead, kill the DWARF MECHS, and go
forward up the ram. Listen to lecture from the DWARF LORD, then enter his
chamber
when the door opens.
Run around dodging the DWARF LORD. Look for a blue energy field to appear on the
inside face of one of the pillars. Run into the field, to be teleported to the
balcony. Run around the balcony, dodging attacks and pressing any switches that
are up. Each time you press a switch, another pillar below will show a blue
energy field. Jump down and run into each new energy field, still dodging
attacks
and pressing switches, until the DWARF LORD overloads and explodes. Then jump
down from the balcony and run through the gold energy field to end the level.
Level 37: The Dwarven Outpost
Summary: The Last Wendol
Level Time: 5 minutes
Listen to cinematic speech from Odin, then turn around and take the passage to
the left. Kill the DWARF, then press the switch, ride down on the elevators
behind you and go right. Enter the tunnel on the right, and go forward past the
pond. Enter the cave on your left, kill the DWARVES and go into the room to the
left of the cauldron for a LEG OF MEAT and a RUNE OF LESSER POWER. Take the
stairs on the left up for more LEG OF MEAT and MEAD. Move forward, around into
the hallway, and down the ramp. Kill the DWARF, continue forward to the balcony,
get onto the moving platform, pull the switch, and ride to the other side. Kill
the DWARF and push the switch to open the big metal grate below.
Jump down and go through the grate, then across the boards through the passage
to
the left, up the hill, and down the other side where you beat up a WENDOL. Try
to
cross the bridge to trigger the cinematic of its destruction, then go down the
stairs behind the bridge entry and into a room, down more stairs, through, and
down a short flight of stairs to a dark tunnel. Walk the balance beam that runs
down the center of the tunnel (remember, down = bad) then up and around stairs
to
end up behind the bridge exit. Kill the DWARVES, move toward the catapult, kill
more DWARVES, then press the switch on the right of the door and enter to end
the
level.
Level 39: The Trickster’s Maze
Summary: Duh...It’s a Maze
Level Time: 5 minutes
Move forward through the passage, staying clear of the LOKI STATUES that attack
you. When you reach an area with multiple statues in one place, turn right,
select the DWARVEN BATTLE HAMMER, and press the switch on the left. Kill the
SARK
WARRIOR that attacks you, and take the DWARVEN BATTLE AXE. Go through the far
door to enter Loki’s maze, where you will be taunted a lot by Loki as you run
through tunnels.
Turn right to face the room with a blood spot and two skulls on the floor, but
don’t enter yet. Now, move through the blood spot room, the next room, and into
the next room where the floor will collapse dropping you into a room with a
blood
spot on the floor but no skulls. Behind you will be a drop down to lava. Turn
left to face a hallway ending in a metal grate, but don’t enter yet. Now, move
forward through rooms into the room with the metal grate. Turn right towards a
room with a corpse on the floor, and go in. You’ll be teleported to a part of
the
maze where the rooms are upside-down. Jump into the middle of the room, then
face
right and climb up and over through rooms until you reach a metal grate ahead.
Turn left, and climb up and over through rooms and into the gold portal. Now
you’re in a room with a dead dishonored ahead and to the left. Move to the
middle
of the room face right, and move to the next room. Face left, move to the next
room. Face right, and move through two rooms. Face right, and move into the next
room which will transport you to a part of the maze where the rooms are
sideways.
Move forward one room, down to the next room, forward one room, and down to the
next room again, then go through the gold portal to be transported to a hallway.
Turn around and enter room with a dead Viking on the floor ahead and to your
right. Go right, then left, then straight, then left to exit the maze and end
the
level.
Level 40: The Trickster’s Chamber
Summary: That Loki Is Such A Card
Level Time: 14 minutes
Watch the cinematic of Loki ranting, then head down the hallway and stairs to a
room with many doors. Press the switch on the left of the big door to open it.
In
the next room, ignore the DISHONORED. Go around to the right, into a room with
more doorways. Enter the second door on the left, smash the wall, and drop down
to a room with a very shiny floor. Follow the path to a room with more Loki
blood
flowing, select the DWARVEN BATTLE HAMMER, and kill the SARK DISHONORED that
attacks. Go through the exit at the end of the room, right, and left to a
debris-
filled room with LIZARDS and a DWARVEN WORK HAMMER. Smash the wooden support,
select the ROMAN SWORD, and climb up the support into the next room. Kill the
DISHONORED, and follow the passage to its end. Press the switch on the left,
then
walk onto the pressure plate on the right.
Return the way you came, back down through the hole in the floor, through the
room with the Loki blood, through the room with the shiny floor, up into the
room
where you smashed the wall, back into the DISHONORED room, and up the stairs. Go
through the doorway and down the stairs on the other side, into a room with a
pressure plate on the left and a switch on the right. Step on the pressure plate
to open the left door, go in, kill the SARK WARRIOR, and pull the switch. Exit
the room, to the room with the pressure plate and switch. Press the switch to
open the door ahead, then go through the passage. There will be stairs down
straight ahead, and a passage to the left; go left, and around, ignoring the
switches but killing all of the DISHONORED. Now if you like, you can wait for
the
DISHONORED below to walk onto the wooden squares, and use the switches to burn
them up, or you can ignore the switches. The passage will make a tee-junction;
you can go to the right and past another switch, or to the left and down the
stairs. Go down the stairs, step on the pressure plate to open the door, go
through, and kill any leftover DISHONORED. Then go through the corridor at the
other end of the room, past a RUNE OF HEALTH on the right, and step on the
pressure plate to open the door. Enter the large chamber with more Loki blood
flowing. Select the DWARVEN BATTLE AXE and move forward into the large chamber.
Kill the SARK WARRIOR, then kill each DISHONORED before it can jump into the
Loki
blood and become a SARK DISHONORED. The DISHONORED alternate approaching the
pool
of Loki blood from the left and right, so it’s easiest to stay near the wall and
run back and forth, chopping DISHONORED with the axe as they approach the pool.
Once you’ve killed enough DISHONORED, go through to the end of the room and
through to another chamber where you get to fight two SARK WARRIORS. When
they’re
dead, you trigger a cinematic and fight CONRACK. When you’re about to win, a
cinematic triggers and CONRACK falls into the Loki blood, emerging as SARK
CONRACK. He tells you his master plan and runs off leaving you alone in a room
with Loki and two more SARK WARRIORS. Kill them, eat the LIZARDS scattered
around
the chamber, then jump into the water to end the level.
Level 41: The Barren Canyons
Summary: Got Sark?
Level Time: 10 minutes
A cinematic rolls and you climb out of the water. Surprise! You’re Sark Ragnar
now, transformed by the blood of Loki! You can jump higher, hit harder, and you
have really cool glowing eyes. Loki tells you that Odin won’t have anything to
do
with you now that you’re “his”, and invites you to join him (too bad there’s no
way to do it...). Jump back into the water to max out your health; if that’s not
enough, jump up into the water in front of Loki. When you’re fully charged, jump
up to the ledge and out the passage that Sark Conrack took.
Go past the pool, up the stairs, through the hall, and jump across the broken
bridge (you’re super now, dude). Continue forward until you get outside and
trigger the cinematic of SARK CONRACK and friends smashing a wall. Continue down
the path, past the hanged people, and around the lake to a narrow dead end. Jump
up the ledges, first right, then left, then across. Follow the path down and to
the right to see some VIKINGS ambushing a SARK DISHONORED; kill the SARK
DISHONORED but don’t expect the VIKINGS to be your friend – you look like a bad
guy. Keep following the path to see two SARK DISHONORED chasing a VIKING; kill
them on the seashore.
Turn around and head up and, with the sea behind you, head up to the left and
between two pines until you see a LOKI BLOOD pool on the left.
Jump to the ledge above the pond to see SARK CONRACK doing more bad deeds.
Continue down the path, killing more SARK DISHONORED and SARK WARRIORS until you
enter a room with a chain hanging from the ceiling. Climb the chain up through
the hole in the ceiling, jump down, pick up the RUNE OF LESSER POWER, smash the
wood blocking your path, and move across the ledge without jumping down. Kill
any
SARK DISHONORED that jump up at you. Jump across to the ledge on your left, then
over and down. Follow the path between the trees, and jump down to end the
level.
Level 42: Embers of Hrafnborg
Summary: Well, OK, Maybe One More Platform Jump...
Level Time: 6 minutes
Pick up the RUNE OF LESSER POWER, then follow the path to see a ruined town and
watch one of the rune stones being smashed. Listen to more Loki raving. Take the
left fork to a pool of LOKI BLOOD. Kill lots of SARK DISHONORED and SARK
WARRIORS, then forward through an arch in a wall, and along the left wall and
around to the other side of the wall. Jump up to the ledge, then across and up.
Kill GOBLINS (leave the MINI-GOBLINS if you like), and continue. Cross hanging
bridge, kill SARK WARRIOR, and follow the path to a set of ropes.
Climb and jump from rope to rope to reach the other side. Jump to the upper
platform, backtrack to the right, and get a RUNE OF LESSER POWER. Jump to the
lower platform, smash the CRABS, and go down the ramp to a lava pit. Jump to the
small bit of land, then to the small ledge on the right side, and do a Quick
Save. Wait for the GOBLIN to throw a TORCH. Run and jump forward across the gap
to the continuation of the small ledge, across the ledge and jump up to the rock
platform ahead, right and around and up the ledges to a higher platform, and
jump
across to the rock ledge that the GOBLIN threw the TORCH from. Go in to the

SARK WARRIORS as needed. Go over the hill and drop down to end the level.
Level 43: Return to Wotankeld
Summary: Bad Guy Dies
Level Time: 13 minutes
Move forward and take the right fork of the path. Go up the slope on the right,
killing or dodging SARK WARRIORS and SARK DISHONORED as needed. Follow the ledge
around and out through the mineshaft to the sacred rune stone circle. Loki asks
you to join him again; SARK CONRACK blabs more of the plan.
Run up to the top of the hill where the rune stone is and select the DWARVEN
BATTLE HAMMER. Try to taunt and tempt Conrack’s guards to run up the hill after
you, and then smash them as they do. Kill all of the ELITE SARK WARRIORS and
then
kill SARK CONRACK.
Odin congratulates you and asks you to come live with the gods. Loki has a bad
day. Enter the portal in the rune stone to end the level.
