This section will grow as people from the Forum start posting
strategies (and more). Things that would fall under this category
would be things like: How to avoid the cops, how to take corners
better/faster, ways to power slide (with-out hitting a sidewalk and
flipping), etc.
Here are a few things which people have said on the forum (thanks
guys!). Enjoy!
Cops are dumb. Try to weave in traffic. If you go between two cars,
especially in heavy traffic, the cops are likely to hit someone
or something. They will also try and swerve into you to knock you off
the road, SO DO THE SAME TO THEM! If you see them driving side by side
with you, then that means that your arse is gonna be off the road
soon, so knock them off first. Just watch out for the oncoming
traffic.
I like going down the sidewalk on the wrong side of the road. The cops
will follow you, but not on the sidewalk. THey usually stay on the
road; the wrong side that is. Just watch as a city bus is going right
for them and they go from 95 to 0 instantly. Great isn't it?
My favorite is to make them chase me onto the highway and then
fishtail into a u turn and take off against the flow of traffic. The
cops will then usually cause big huge pileups which make for great
screen shots.
Sometimes, when I'm racing, I will forego the race just to take out as
many cops as I can. Another good tactic for y'all: cause a big pileup
on a city street while there are cops chasing you. Go all the way
around the block, then come back through the pileup, staying on the
sidewalk (as HeadKorn94 pointed out. The cops will then try to ram
their way through and most likely blow their engines or just get
stuck. Also, using alley and tunnel entrances or exits to stage
crashes is good, especially in checkpoint races where you're in the
lead. (Freeway Flier comes to mind) The other cars will spend precious
minutes trying to disentangle, usually by ramming the crap out of
their cars until they pop off a wheel. Its easier to win a race when
there's no other racers....
I've only tried this a couple of times but it seems like the cops will
never follow you into the baseball stadium... The stadium near one of
the highway ends.. The stadium has two exits so it's very easy to get
out of there without having the cops chase you..
