Technical questions:

- Can I trust Activision and play the game without any patches ?

Nope. Don't even think about playing it without the official patch
v1.01. In a later level the game will fuck up.

- Hey, can't I install the patch later, I will need a few days to
get to the critical level ...

Nopes, after the patching the save games don't work anymore!

- Any more technical bugs ?

Yeah, make sure you have the latest Win95/98 drives for your
soundcard, because you need them to run the game with good sound.
Especially Soundblaster/PCI owners should follow this.

Gameplay FAQ:

Note: This game is quite linear, but only quite ... there are a few
levels that have various exits depending on your choice and on your
mission success. I have played these games a few times to find
all the secrets (a goal I have not reached I must admit) and I found
out that there are a few levels that will not be played, if you choose
certain exits.

Level: Over Freeport City Bank

Nothing unsolvable here.

Level: Freeport City Bank

- Where is the key for the "EMPLOYEES ONLY" room ?

Move up the escalator, leave on the other side, enter the next room.
The key can be found on the table.

- How do get into the SECURITY room ?

Break the window next to the door and jump in.

- What is the safe combination ?

This varies. You will find the right combination for it on the
computer in the room behind the SECURITY room.

- How can I unlock the security doors ?

Also at the computer mentioned above.

- Are there any easter eggs in this level ?

Sure. In the SECURITY you will find a poster of the employee of
the month. Looks like Monica Lewinsky if you ask me.

In the well you will find a coin. Use it with the telephone.

At the security computer use BLADE on account information. It will
give you the account # and PIN for the ATM at the startingpoint
of the level.
Even better: Use SINCLAIRE on the ATM and wire punds to Blade's
account.

You can stop the escalator with press the red button.

- What is the evidence envelope good for that can be found in one
of the safes near the exit ?

1. In the 2nd room behind the SECURITY you can find a small wall
safe behind the picture of the old man. It hides two packages
of ... QUAKE!

Level: Abandoned Freeport

- How do I survive the dynamite trap ?

There is a hole in the wall on the right only covered by a brick.
Push this brick and jump in. You also have to jump from rock to
rock to avoid the waves of the explosion. You are safe in the room
you will enter.

- Where is the money ?

In the first room behind the dynanite trap, in the truck at the
yard, in the trash container and behind the small bridge you can
reach on the 2nd floor ledge.

- How can I reach the container ?

In the first house on the left move upstairs, turn right and walk
over the wood to get to the roof. From here jump into the container.

Secrets: 2/2

1. You left the first complex, jumped through the hole on the
wooden bridge and entered the first house on the left. Move up the
stairs, pass the next stairs on the left und walk up to the end of
this room. Duck and creep into the dark. There is a secret room
downstairs.

2. You just left the window behind the broken stairs with Mancini
laughing at you. Jump down on the street, move right, you will see
a hole in wall. Move in there and crawl beneeth the planks. You see
another small hole, crack it. Move in and use the wheel.

Level: Construction Zone

- I climbed up the fire leadder and the door won't open. What now ?

Jump to the other side of the road.

- How can I leave the construction zone yard ?

Fire on the explosive tons behind the fence.

- Where is the key for the fence ?

In the workers container.

- How can I open the valve ?

Fire on the steel billet high up in the air.

- I am behind the tube, how can i leave this yard ?

Fire on the tubes behind the door that is nailed with a few woods.
Or ... use the Catapillar to the closed door in the corner of the
yard and move on ... This level has two exits !

Secrets: 3/4

1. After you have jumped to the other roof, crash the rusty exit of
the air condition system and jump in. Open all cupboards and drawers.

2. You have to use the big Catapillar, it will show you a way to the
leddar. Climb it up and jump through one of the windwos.

3. If you choosed to exit the 2nd yard without the Catarpillar you
will get to a closed door. Next to it you see a water hole. Dive in
and you will get to an broken elevator. Jump in and dive deep to a
secret room. This will only work if you found secret 2 in Level
"Abandoned Freeport".

- What is the construction plan the worker gives me god for and how
do I use it ?

Level: Sintek Chemical Labs

- What the hell is the way not to be seen ?

Enter the building, run and knock of the seceraty. Walk around the
corner, duck when you come near the window on the right and turn
left. Crawl around the next corner. There are two guys in the
rest room, kill them. Open the door on the right, open the lockers
and take away the suit. Open the door on the right, kock off the
guy and take his ID card. Leave the locker room through the other
door, turn right and duck. Crawl along the window and head to the
elevator on the left.

Level 5: Sintek Chemical Plant

- How can the alert be turned off ?

From the level start pass the first door, enter the next door on
the right, go downstairs and use the terminal on the left.

- How can I turn off the fans ?

Use the terminal at the secretary room right at the biginning of
the level.

- Where can I get the white ID card ?

Explore all rooms, JC will tell you to follow a specific scientist,
move back to the big hall, he will wait at the door that is secured
with that card.

- Where can I activate the lift ? / Where do I open the U4 store ?

At Mr. Shanders computer one room earlier.

- Where can i find Mr. Shanders password ?

Look it up at the terminal a few rooms ago.

- Where is the next BioScan Terminal ?

In lab 2.

- Where can I get the blue ID card ?

In lab 4.

- How can I set off the alert ?

On the 3rd computer.

Level: Sintek Warehouse Part 2

- I get to the hall with the two red machine guns. How can i survive
this ?

He, i figured no way out to deactivate them. Just be quick and jump
on the left conveyor belt.

- Geez, now i get to another hall with a red gun. After many attempts
i have survived the first hall, now the second machinegun kills me
everytime i get to the stairs.

So don't use the stairs ;-) Right right to the entry there is an
entry to the air system.

- Where do I get the orange ID card ?

After you listened to the conversation of the foreman and his
co-worker, jump down and get it from the foreman.

- How can I open the safe ?

Type a few numbers, go to the terminal and open it.

1. The safe, open it!

2. Use the elevator, move left, walk over the wooden bar and duck.
Creep in. Now you have a new weapon.

Level: Biomech Factory

- Where is the blue ID card ?

Break the window and get it from the table.

- How do I survive the red laser barrier trap ?

With shooting ? You should have the powerfull weapon now.

- How do I open the security door ?

Blow up the 4 gas bottles in front of the control room. This
will blow the room, also the security system for the door.

Level: Biomech Factory Part 2

- How Do I unlock the security doors on the terminal ?

Upload the virus first.

- Where is the green ID card ?

You will come across 3 doors that can be unlocked with the green
ID card. Leave the two first behind you, you will use them as your
way out of this level. The card is lying on the table in the room
before the 3rd door.

- Where do I get the password to the Sintek database ?

kill everyone except the guy cowering, by the glass walls go up to him
press the use key, he gets up and go over to the large computer screen
and accesses the Sintek database go over as he does it, and press the
use key and a map will come up, showing the missile silos position then
when you go up to the helipad, to leave instead of going to the sewers
you go to the missle silo, where you have to stop Sintek stealing the
nukes.

- What is the yellow ID card good for ?

This is only accessable if you got the databse to work. This exit will
send you to the level "Missile Silo". If you where not able to get the
database password you will be sent to "Freeport Sewers".

Level: Missile Silo

- Where is the orange ID card ?

One of those "friends" on the hill has them.

- How do I kill the Security Power Grid ?

Jump down next to the Generator and shoot the small blue force
field a few time.

- Where do I get the "hand" ?

Place: The first door you will need it. Move back, enter the
"Danger" tunnel, go into the waste, dive into the tube, now keep
always left in the waste and climb up the leddar. An almost dead
soldier lies in front of the door. He will give you his hand without
resistance.

- Where do I find the missile launch passcode ?

Rescue the Marine hostages first. One of them will give you the
passcode. Lock on the terminal and press [F11]. If it doesn't
change in any game (why should it?) it is: Lithium707

Level: Freeport Sewers

- The entry is locked. How do I get in ?

Are you kidding ? Shoot the lock !

- How do I get into the drainage tubes ?

Unlock all hedges in the order 1-2-3.

- Okay, I am the super lamer ;-) I fell from the ledge into the
water, this sucks me into a tube. And now I am here with an
unfriendly fish. How can I get out of the water ?

Look up and fire at the top of the leddar.

Attention: If you fell into the water, the next level is "Freeport
Aqueduct". If you didn't fell in, the next level is "Freeport
Sewers Part 2"

Level: Freeport Aqueduct

- The handle is broken and there is no other exit. How do I get
out ?

Shoot the yellow generator.

- The water rises, the door is locked, what now ?

Shoot the window a few times, crawl in, use the terminal on the
right, go to override information and get the combination to open
the override doors.

- How do I get out of the water ?

Dive into the middle tube.

- Where is the blue ID card ?

In the intake tower.

- Where is the key for the door in the observation tower?

Not needed !

- Where is the green ID card ?

Behind the room with the locked door. Just shoot at the lock.

Level: Freeport Water Works

- Two exits ?

Yeah. If you succeeded closing the valves in time you will be send
to "Sintek Oilrig". If Peon and Eon made you fail, you will be
send back to "Freeport City Dam"

Level: Freeport City Dam

- What now ?

Remember were I told you that you don't need the key ? Go there, the
door is now unlocked.

- Where is the orange ID card ?

Move up to the platform to the card players. It can be grabbed from
their table.

Level: Sintek Oilrig

- I entered the rig and made my way as far as I could get. Now it
seems there is no way further on, the next door seems to be behind
a fence. What now ?

Well, you have to jump over the fence, but not from ground but from
the tubes. To get to the top of the tubes you will have to creep
through the moving oil driller (or what ever that is) in the right
moment.

- I don't find an exit !

Look for an elevator, it is hard to find, you only see the empty
shaft.

Level: Underwater Passage

- Where is the Scuba Gear ?

Open the Scuba door (and enable shipping). Dive in, use bubbles as
air supplier. First don't follow the sub, but use the other
direction. Dive up to the end and open the door at the bottom.
Don't forget to use the air bubbles.

- Where can I turn off the fan ciculation ?

In the main hall follow the tunnel through the left door.

- How can I damage the system ?

Shoot the oxigene bottles in the far rightest part of the main hall.

- Where is the blue ID card ?

Right behind you in the self.

- Where is the green ID card ?

In the same room.

- How can I stop the decompression ?

Shoot the oxigene bottle right in top of the yellow generator.

- I dive to a laser barrier. How can I disable it ?
                               
You see a door right opposite of the laser barrier. Follow the tunnel
behind it. (Don't forget to grab the blue ID card and shoot any
generator you see. Shoot the second geneartor AFTER you have disabled
the the laser barrier - or you will be killed!)

- Does part 2 suck ?

Yes, mega time !

Level: Hidden Docks

- How can I get in without activating the alert ?

In my eyes only one way, you have to catch the first cargo sub, there
is no other coming.

- Where is the yellow ID card ?

Climb up the leddar upstairs. It is lying on the cam control desk.

- Where is the blue ID card ?

Follow the way behind the yellow ID card door.

Level: Submarinal Cargo 5

Hmmz ... questions ? Ah , yes ...

- How do I locate the entrance to Jungle Pass ?

If you search any room you will get to a sea platform. Jump in and
follow the pipes.

- Does this level have two different exits ?

Yeb, one if you follow the pipes and the 2nd is behind the orange
ID card door. Only the way along the pipes will give you all mission
goals. Orange door gets you direct to Jungle Pass part 2.

Level: Jungle Pass

- Where is the exit ?

At the beta station jump into the water and dive up to the end. Oops,
seems to be two exits again. This leeds you to the level "Jungle Pass
Part 2". There is another exit right opposite of the beta station.
This will get you to level "Mountain Gorse"

Level: Jungle Pass Part 2

- How do I get to the other side of the river near the water fall ?

Try tree climbing.

- I see the sign of station beta on a platform above me. But there
is no leddar. How do I get there ?

- Use the liane to get there. You will be sent back to "Jungle Pass
Part 1". Now use the right exit, buddy.

Secrets: 2/3

1. At the beginning you see the rock in the middle of the river. Use
this as a jump platform to the other side.

2. After you have survived the 2nd attack from behind (woods this
time) move down the hill up to the end and jump on the ledge (guarded
by three suckers)

Level: Mountain Gorse

- The bridge is broken. What now?

Jump to the gras platform on the left and from there to the other
platform. Make your way under the bridge and climb up the leddar.
You will have to walk a few steps back to fullfill the next
objective.

- How do I turn off the alert in the security HQ ?

Use the red light button at the console.

Level: Area 57

- How the hell do I get out of the initial area ?

Prolly you have killed the yellow guards. Too bad. You need those
enemies. You see the brown tubes ? Those are your way to fullfill
your tasks. So don't kill them. They will open up the tubes for
you. And you only have ONE chance. Use it.

- What does mean: "Finish the chamber" ?

Well, survive it. You see the numbers in front of the tubes ?
These numbers equal the chamber number.

- How do I survive chamber 1 ?

Well, the hard thing here is that the walls are moving. To avoid
useless loss of health, stick to the outer wall and move around
on the left side.

- What's to do chamber 2 ?

Get to the other side.

- There is a door at the bottom of the "pool". I get to an exit
there. Is this the offical exit ?

Nopes. You didn't fullfill the goal to get back human. It leads
to the level Biomass Reclaimation Center. That Level will give you
no progess. You will get back to Area 57.

- How do I get back my human nature ?

Finish chamber 3. Move on to a large lab. Jump into the machine
with the light on it.

- I have the key. Shall I leave through the door in the lab directly ?

You could ... but you shouldn't. Move back and now use the other
that can be opened with that key. The way is full of danger, but
the reward will be endless fire power. Afterwards get back to the
lab. Your next level is "Xenomorphic Laboratory".

Level: Biomass Reclaimation Center

- How can I leave the inital room ?

Climb up the leddar and use the red button. This will turn off the
rollers. Now jump into the hole.

- Where is the exit ?

In the last room press the red button and a machine arm will begin
to move. Jump on it!

You will be sent back to level "Area 57".

Level: Xenomorphic Laboratory

- I have fallen into hole in front of the leddar. Now I am back.
Must I climb up the leddar anyway ?

No.

The rest of the level is straight forward.

Secrets: 2/3

1. You are in the first room on the tower. Creep under the iron
stairs and open a secret door to a tube system. You will find the
adrenaline here.

2. You can open the left control monitor right opposite of the
entrance to the Gamma Capitation.

Level: Xenomorphic Laboratory Part 2

Open question:

What is the gamma scan good for ?

Secrets: 2/2

1. You just found the way out of the big hall with the uber monster.
Now don't jump down into the room, but creep around the ledge up to
the other grey enlighted side. On the leftmost part you will see
a secret door.

2. You are at the 2nd specimen observation terminal. Right behind
you there is an ornament. The leftmost part of it can be used as
a leddar. Climb up and move left, you can see the door on the wall.

Level: Estate Sinclair

- How do I get into the house ?

Jump to the place where the sniper was. Next to it you will find a
small door.

- How do I get out of the cellar ?

Use the right small door. There is a leddar up in the next room.

- Where is the bio shield ?

Go to the place where the butler is wait. Press the middle window
and walk through the now open hole. Jump down.

Where is the key to Janitor Bob's room ?

It is lying next to the bioshield beneeth a rock. It's hardly to see,
looks more like a graphic error.

Level: Estate Sinclaire Part 2

- How can I turn of the securetons ?

Go to the small room where the picture lies on the table. Push a
book in the self and use the elevator. Leave through the right door
and walk through the water. Enter the house through the little door.
Use the terminal.

- How can I leave the level ?

When you are in Elixis' CEO room, press the switch on the banisters.
Use the lift.

You have fallen into the trap. There is a power switch. What is this
good for ?

- Where is the green ID card ?

One of the guards behind the Mancini monster has it.

- Where is the yello ID card ?

In the main office.

- Where is Elexis after she left the conference room with a lift.
