Basketball Court
This can only be done in the training level on EXPERT MODE. Right after sword
fighting the human opponent, quickly run over to the table with the three
items and grab the key. Turn around and run into area the opponent came from
and should be going back to. Once your in there, go to the end of it and
you'll find a door, use the key and your in.
NOTE: If you pick up the sleeping bag thing in the upper right corner of the
basketball court, you can read some crazy notes but then you won't be able to
get rid of it and your stuck, also, there is no way back out of the basketball
court. Easy Money
Using a test editor, open the file dark.cfg in your Thief directory and add
the following line at the end:
Cash_Bonus 3000
Start the game. When you go to the game save on the screen where you buy your
equipment and then exit the game and then whenever you continue the load out
screen will add another $3000 to your cash. Extra Money in the Training Level
When you go through the red door that exits the training ground, quickly go
north. There will be a table with a golden glass type thing on it. Pick it up
and you will have an extra 50 bucks when you go to the next level to buy
stuff! Extra Training Time
In the training level of the game, after you go through the silence and
invisibility training rooms, you come to combat training. First you take your
weapons, and then you go down a stairway and to the right. But, if you jump
over the wall lining the right side of the steps, the game doesn't register
that you're there, and you can hack away at the training dummy all you want,
until you walk by the bottom of the steps. Level Select
To start the game on a level other than Lord Baford's Mansion when you start a
new game, go to your "dark.cgf" file and at the end enter: starting_mission x,
where "x" is the number of the mission. Level Skip
While playing, press CTRL-ALT-SHIFT-END. This will cause you to move on to the
next level.
Note: This code will work only with the updated version of Thief (verion 1.33
or later).
