Neil Druckmann
Neil Druckmann is an American-Israel writer, programmer, game designer and vice president of Naughty Dog.
Career
Neil Druckmann joined Naughty Dog in 2004 as a programmer. The first studio’s project he took part in was an action-adventure title Jak 3. With the release of 2007 hit Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, his role in the studio shifted from programmer to game designer and scriptwriter. He continued working on Uncharted series on different roleы, but he became truly acknowledged with the release of Last of Us in 2013 based on Druckmann’s original idea. The game won multiple Game of the Year awards and is considered to be one the best-received games of its generation.
Style
In his work, Druckmann prefers concentrating more on the complex characters rather than on complicated storylines and exposition. Both Uncharted and Last of Us series settings are based on real world and feature character-driven stories.
