Rhianna Pratchett is an English video game writer and journalist.
Rhianna began working in the video game industry in the early 00s. The first project she took part in was role-playing game Beyond Divinity in which she was a story editor. The first game where she was a primary writer was 2006 strategy game Stronghold: Legends. In the late 00s, she worked on various titles from different developers such as Overlord series, Viking: Battle for Asgard and Mirror’s Edge among others. The popularity came to her when she started working on the reboot of Tomb Raider franchise for which she won several awards such as Outstanding Achievement in Videogame Writing at 68th Writers Guild of America Awards. Unlike in previous games in the franchise, the 2013 version of Lara Croft was more emotional, vulnerable and developed characters. This change in character's development received a positive response from game journalists.
