Tim Schafer
Tim Schafer is an American video game designer and the head of Double Fine Productions.
Games
Schafer started his career in the video game industry in the late 80’s. The first commercial project that he has been working on was 1990 cult classic The Secret of Monkey Island. Since that and until the early 00s, Schafer has been a designer of several Lucas Arts’ hits such as Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle, and Grim Fandango. After leaving Lucas Arts, Shafer founded Double Fine Production and was a creative director on most of its titles.
Recognition
Tim Schafer is widely acknowledged as one of the most important figures of the 90s’ adventure game genre. His early works in LucasArts gained widespread critical acclaimed. Equally praised was his 2005 3D platformer Psychonauts.
