Randy Pitchford
Randy Pitchford is an American game designer, producer, writer and a CEO of Gearbox Software.
Career
Randy Pitchford started his career in video game industry in the middle of the 90s. The first project he took in was 1996 Duke Nukem 3D: Atomic Edition for which he designed some of the game maps. After that, he worked on such successful games as Shadow Warrior, Half-Life, and its expansion packs. In 1999 he became a co-founder of Gearbox Software. He has been working on various company’s projects as a game designer, producer, and writer. Pitchford played an important role in creating some of the most popular Gearbox’s IPs: Borderlands and Brothers in Arms. In 2016 he Gearbox Publishing. The company publishes both Gearbox Software’s titles and third-party games such as Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition and We Happy Few among others.
